Beach days don’t get much brighter than at OUTRIGGER Koh Samui Beach Resort. Sitting pretty on Lamai Beach, this is a place made for families, friends, and fun-seekers alike. Four swimming pools (including one with a waterslide) and the island’s only indoor laser tag arena make boredom a non-starter, while the Coral Kids Club and games room keep little ones busy from sunrise to sunset. Meanwhile, grown-ups can sip cocktails at the beach club, unwind with a massage in the shade, or simply soak up the views.

Excellent stay, on the beach, great pools, lovely breakfast - something to cater for all tastes. ( I am vegetarian) recommended to stay here. The staff are amazing.

Good value for money resort, staff are super friendly, breakfast is good, the pools over the road are good, the beach is peaceful and quiet, however take ear plugs as the walls and ceilings are paper thin and you can hear everything!

Good: rooms are well equipped, clean comfortable, pretty nice. Service: staff are excellent with little touches like finding out names using your name. Pools: good variety and plenty of sun beds. Breakfast: plenty of options and good quality. Bad: Pricing: starts high as you would expect from a hotel but you have to add 17% to everything. Also, there’s only one place to eat and you don’t want the same menu day and night so most people eat at the many great restaurants close to the hotel. This has two impacts, after 7 the hotel is dead and also highlights the pricing. Air con in room: so loud I had to wear ear plugs to sleep. If I was in a 3* hotel I would expect it but this hotel classes itself as luxury. Road: very busy road between the rooms and pool area. Beach & water: not sure what’s going on but the sand in the cove by hotel is black and like an inch of silt that you sink into. You need to go about 500m down the beach to get to some nice water. Rooms location: some are very bad (see photo). We got moved with no issue but if they couldn’t switch I would have been distraught at the room I was given. 120 overlooks a mouldy external wall and the power generator. Between that and the aircon it was like trying to sleep on runway 1 at Heathrow. Overall it leads to a compromised stay and not the luxury they advertise. I’ve stayed in 4* family resorts that do a better job in Spain.
