The hotel

The gorgeous gardens and pools at Krabi La Playa Resort provide a great getaway, offering up endless hours of relaxation. One of the resort’s swimming pool is pretty traditional, a series of interconnecting pools accompanied by sunbeds, poolside dining, and swim-up bar with the other ‘Emerald Pool’ is something a bit different. Both stretch right up to some of the hotel’s renovated rooms and suites, allowing guests to step right into the water from their terrace. The two acre gardens are just as inviting, with their own bar and seating spots. And, if that’s not quite enough space to relax, you could always head to the sands of Ao Nang and Noppharat Thara beaches, 150 meters away, with shopping, dining and nightlife nearby.

Had a lovely stay here for a few days, a cool welcome drink of arrival was a nice touch. We stayed in a premier 2 bedroom and it was very spacious. Hotel is spotless, staff are very welcoming. Shower was a little temperamental. Good food, Thai massage was nice. Overall a lovely stay. I would recommend.

Great location, don’t be put off by the dodgy road as you drive in. Considering its central location it is very quiet. Pool area lovely and not crowded. Rooms very comfortable with good air con. Good location for shops/restaurants and getting a boat to the islands. We visited Railay beach which was lovely but the weather was bad on the other days… Read more

Good location for shops/restaurants and getting a boat to the islands. We visited Railay beach which was lovely but the weather was bad on the other days so we stayed locally. Great restaurant options on the area. Breakfast finishes at 10am prompt. It would be helpful to extend it to 10.30 as it was always very busy at 9.45. Read less

We had a multi location three week trip to Thailand and stayed in some amazing places. I think I might have been in danger of becoming a bit of a hotel snob because the places we stayed before and after here were amazing, so I do worry that my opinion of this hotel may be slightly harsh. There is nothing wrong with it, but the rooms perhaps lacked a bit of quality and it was the only place during our stay where we had to take our own luggage to the room (see what I mean about becoming a hotel snob?). The pool is nice with plenty of comfortable sun beds, breakfast again was ok, but perhaps lacked the quality and choice of some of the other hotels we stayed in. The area the hotel is located is a little bit mixed. Out of the hotel and turn left its like Blackpool with sun - loud bars, bright lights, cannabis shops galore, but turn right and head towards the night market its a lot nicer. Over all a decent stay, but a bit of work needs doing. Would I visit the hotel again? Probably Read less
