Our main goal was to take it easy and relax. We stayed there for nine nights and had a wonderful time. It’s located very close to Kamala Beach; you can either walk or take a complimentary shuttle from the hotel. Across the street, you can see the sea. I recommend Casa Boho or the Regency Club to watch the sunset, both have a wonderful view.
The room was spacious and clean. I found both the bed and the pillows very comfortable. It had a dehumidifier, along with other amenities such as a shaving kit, sewing kit, comb, dental kit, shower cap, and vanity kit.
Breakfast is served as a buffet and offers quite a variety of food, including vegan options. We also ate at Casa Boho, Mizu Teppanyaki Restaurant, and The Pool House Kitchen. All of them are great places to have dinner.
The hotel offers a wide range of activities, which was very convenient for us. We did the Kamala Discovery Hike and the Kamala Tuk Tuk Adventure. The hike was fantastic, definitely not easy for us couch potatoes, but very rewarding! We were glad to find that we were in better shape than we’d thought. The tuk-tuk tour is great for seeing what’s around; if something catches your attention, you can visit it later.
I highly recommend taking a look at the Marine Biological Center and participating in the activities they offer. We learned a lot about jellyfish, corals, and sea urchins. We did the house reef snorkeling and the night shore walk. If you can, please do both, this way you can appreciate all the changes taking place and see different wildlife. It’s also very cool to witness the corals and crabs glowing at night, but keep in mind that your feet will get wet. Marat is very knowledgeable, and the more questions you ask, the better the experience gets. I definitely left wanting to try the night house reef snorkeling.
Overall, we had a great time and truly enjoyed our stay. The staff deserve a special mention, everyone was incredibly kind and helpful, and they genuinely made our experience even better.
