## Hyatt Regency Phuket – A Luxury Hilltop Escape with Spectacular Ocean Views
If you're looking for a peaceful luxury stay with breathtaking sea views, Hyatt Regency Phuket is an excellent choice. It's ideal for travelers who prefer relaxing by the ocean over staying in the middle of the tourist crowds.
**What I Loved**
* **Spacious rooms** with a bathtub and a large balcony daybed—perfect for unwinding while enjoying panoramic ocean views.
* **Excellent food**, especially for Indian travelers. The in-room Paneer Tikka was outstanding, and the breakfast buffet included Indian options like idli, kachori, and poori alongside an extensive international spread.
* **One of the best breakfast buffets** I've experienced, with plenty of choices for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Tea and coffee are freshly served at your table.
* **Warm and attentive hospitality.** The staff consistently went above and beyond to make the stay comfortable.
* **Casa Boho**, the rooftop restaurant and bar, is a must-visit for sunset. In the evening, it's a great spot to enjoy drinks and live music.
**Location**
The hotel is conveniently located between Patong Beach and Old Phuket Town, making both easy to reach by taxi. There aren't many cafés or shopping options within walking distance, but Kamala Beach is just a 10–15 minute walk away or can be reached via the hotel's shuttle service.
**Things to Keep in Mind**
* Since the resort is built on a hillside, getting around often involves stairs or waiting for golf carts. This may not be the most convenient option for senior guests or anyone with mobility concerns.
* The beach is located just across the road. While it's not ideal for long beach walks or swimming due to its relatively small shoreline, it's a peaceful place to sit, relax, and enjoy the view.
* If possible, request a **higher-floor room with unobstructed ocean views**. My room (1202) was on the lowest level and had a less appealing entrance compared to the upper floors.
**Overall Verdict: 4.7/5**
Hyatt Regency Phuket offers a contemporary luxury experience with exceptional hospitality, stunning ocean views, and some of the best food options I've found in Phuket—especially for Indian travelers. If your idea of a vacation is sipping a drink while overlooking the sea rather than spending all day on the beach, this hotel is an excellent choice.
