But there’s more to the Apsara than sun, sea and sand. Set in unspoilt tropical greenery, along Pakarang Beach, this All Inclusive haven offers a range of drinks and things to do. “Comfort and relaxation at its best”

This resort does not disappoint and I highly recommend. Staff are super friendly and accommodating, initially when we arrived we was given a double room instead of the twin room we booked. This was sorted within a few hours and they allowed us to use the room until our twin was ready. The rooms - very spacious, modern and cosy. The bathroom has a glass window which means those in the room can see into the bathroom but there is a blind to ensure privacy. The shower is lovely and spacious. Plenty of rails and shelving. Towels are provided both beach towel and bathroom towels and they are decent sizes. The beds were really comfortable, no issues with sleep during stay. Our toilet broke at one point, however this was fixed within minutes after ringing down to reception. The air con is amazing, at times had to turn down or off because worked too well. Resort - was clean, beautiful scenery. Comfy sunbeds (never had a problem getting one, no matter time of day). Though I would say the ones that were located in better spots at times we noticed would have towels on them all day but no people actually using them. The pool was lovely, decent size overlooking the beach. Only downside is I would say the resort is not disability friendly when it comes to mobility issues. There are stairs going into pool, though the way stairs are laid out not easy to use the hand railing as they are large steps nearer the railing. Originally we was on the third floor, when room was corrected we was able to move to second floor. Was no ground floor rooms available. Though I would like to add that the staff taking our suitcases to our room and bringing them down on our departure was a great help, thank you for that. Food - no complaints at all. Plenty of options for all dietary needs. The food was delicious, staff always checking what is running out and replenishing this. Drinks - we was all inclusive and we don’t drink alcohol. I have to say the options for non alcoholic drinks was amazing, the best we have seen at an all inclusive. Highly recommend the fruit coolers and the milkshakes. Mocktails were also yummy. Spa - no complaints, we had the massage and facial and it was heaven. The staff were lovely and very good at what they do. We loved seeing the wildlife (apart from the snake for me lol) you see plenty of lizards, gecko’s, frogs, eagles and dogs. We cannot fault our stay and would for sure go again. Thank you Apsara for the best holiday we have ever had

“Amazing Stay at Apsara – Even Better Than the First Time”

This was our second visit to Apsara Beachfront Resort, and it managed to exceed our expectations again. From the moment we arrived, everything felt familiar, friendly, and welcoming. A huge thank you to Emee at reception, who remembered us from last year and went out of her way to make our stay perfect. We’d booked two separate villas as the Family Pool Villa wasn’t available at the time of booking, but Emee kindly rearranged things so we could stay together. Such a thoughtful gesture for our family of four with two boys aged 10 and 13. Last year we stayed in a Jacuzzi Villa, which was also very nice, clean, and comfortable, but this time the Family Pool Villa was ideal – spacious, private, and perfect for families. The boys absolutely loved it and were never bored. The entire resort, including the villas, is immaculately maintained and everything is spotless, tidy, and beautifully presented. All of the swimming pools at the resort are fantastic, but we especially loved the villa-side pool and having the option to use our own private pool whenever we wanted to relax and take it easy. The restaurant teams in both the main resort and villa side were wonderful – Ray, Tee, Book, Kik, and the many others made every meal enjoyable. The food was lovely and offered plenty of variety to suit everyone’s needs. Personally, I’d love to see a few more local Thai dishes, though I completely understand the resort caters to all tastes. We also really enjoyed the Krathong-making activity and the beautiful release ceremony that evening. Outside the resort, we loved exploring Khao Lak (Bang Niang), especially the local markets, and had a fantastic time doing ATV riding and river tubing, which can be easily booked through several local vendors in town. Everyone at Apsara went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We genuinely enjoyed chatting with everyone we met – from the wonderful staff tending the vegetable gardens and hens (who kindly let our boys feed them!) to Bom, who works at the villa-side massage cabanas and always greeted us with a smile. We also loved having easy access to Memories Beach for body surfing, surfing, and beach massages, and waking up each morning to the sound of elephants being fed at the nearby sanctuary was something truly unforgettable. On a practical note, the Wi-Fi throughout the resort is excellent which made it easy to stay connected. Taxis to Khao Lak town are quick and convenient, usually costing around 300–350 baht each way, and each villa has a safe in the room for added peace of mind. The only fault we can find with Apsara is that we can’t visit more often and look forward to staying again in the not too distant future.

Apsara deserves 5 stars! We booked this hotel for two weeks. Our tour operator, when offering this hotel, failed to mention that the "all-inclusive" option operated during peak and low seasons. We were therefore surprised that we could only use the all-inclusive option with a buffet and not à la carte, as it was peak season. This was extremely frustrating for us; we weren't prepared for this. We immediately contacted our tour operator and the hotel management. Unfortunately, our tour operator didn't offer a solution (very frustrating!). Fortunately, the hotel did notice our disappointment and, on their own initiative, gave us a FREE upgrade to a Jacuzzi Villa. This allowed us to dine à la carte every day! This is, of course, a considerable concession from the hotel. You immediately notice that they do everything they can to ensure their guests have a wonderful time! TOP-NOTCH SERVICE! My tip: book a Pool/Jacuzzi Villa and fully enjoy the all-inclusive experience! About the hotel itself: very clean, very quiet, good location, friendly staff, beautifully landscaped garden and pool, delicious food, and they do everything they can to make you feel at home! That last point is quite important.
