“Spacious Room, but Serious Cleanliness and Hygiene Issues”

The room itself was very large and spacious. Our accommodation had two floors – downstairs there was a living area with a small kitchenette, refrigerator, and a toilet, and upstairs there was the bedroom with a bathroom and shower, which was very comfortable and convenient. Unfortunately, our stay was affected by several cleanliness and hygiene issues. We noticed ants in the room, including on the bed. During housekeeping, the cleaning did not seem thorough – crumbs and dirt on surfaces such as the nightstand were left from the previous day and were not wiped away. At check-in we also discovered that the water bottles in the room had not been replaced and appeared to be left from the previous guests. The breakfast area, which is very open, had a large number of flies around the food. Some of the salads were exposed and covered with flies, and we even noticed small insects on the chickpeas. There were also ants around the sauces and jams, and in some cases even inside the containers. In addition, finding a clean glass in the dining area in order to pour water was almost impossible, as many of the glasses appeared dirty. I reported these issues to the reception and even showed them photos, but unfortunately the same problems continued during the following mornings as well. Overall, while the room itself was spacious and comfortable, the cleanliness and hygiene issues significantly affected the experience.

Come on, management, this is simply not acceptable for a hotel that presents itself as five-star. The Wi-Fi has been unreliable every single day of our stay. It constantly disconnects, kicks you out, and makes even basic tasks frustrating. Video calls are impossible, and if someone needs to do even a little work while travelling, it becomes nearly impossible as you spend most of the time just waiting for the connection to return. Even the TV barely works because it relies on the same unstable Wi-Fi connection. In 2026, reliable Internet is not a luxury. It is a basic expectation. A real shame, because this is something that could and should be fixed. We will be sharing some few more points later. This is just about the Wi-Fi situation because it just drive us nuts.🥲

We have stayed at the Kalima resort for 10 nights, it has been an amazing experience and will definitely be returning. The resort is excellent and the staff have made the holiday even better. They were extremely attentive and were always looking to make your experience a special one. A special mention to Pada and Wut who have been amazing from start to finish, they went above and beyond for us.
