“Kalima Resort”

We changed to the Kalima after renovation on our originally booked hotel, very last minute. Our booking agent made lots of mistakes but luckily the reservation team at Kalima resolved our board basis and room type quickly. 😊 Thank you! We are currently here, and, although this hotel was our not our first choice, we have not been disappointed.This is particularly due to the staff. The hotel itself is beautiful to look at, but is not as quiet as we would normally choose- this being the third time in Khao Lak. Rooms are spacious and we have been cleaned and replenished everyday, our maid being lovely and saying hello when we see her around the hotel too. The whole hotel is spotless and lots of activities like kayaking, table tennis, basketball. We have eaten breakfast and dinner or tea, being half board. All of the staff are lovely, but the standout staff member has been the wonderful Pada, who has been not only polite and friendly, but also a complete professional. She remembers our drinks orders and always checks how our holiday is going, taking a genuine interest in myself and son as a family. She really is a credit to the hotel and brand. I hope our holiday continues like this for the our remaining 6 days!

It was an amazing stay. The premises are very nicely designed and the combination of sea and pools and green tropical forest is shunning. The food and the service all great. An amazing island get way. We had a villa on the beach front nicely designed and very welcoming.

Absolutely fantastic stay in June 2026! Arrived around 9pm reception was great lots of information given downloaded the resort app! Driven to our room which was a pool suite. Welcome drink was lovely. As we had been travelling since the day previous we ordered room service which arrived in a timely fashion. Also had 2 items from the mini bar fridge. The room was excellent on first look as it was late and dark . All facilities and amenities in the room were great, robes, slippers, pool sliders , umbrellas and a beach bag. The only downside was the lack of storage only a small area for hanging clothes and one drawer. We had a 13 day stay so had an amount that couldn’t be stored. We found this odd as the room was large and there was ample space for additional storage. Even the bathroom lacked storage no hooks to hang robes or towels. We communicated with mgmt via the app and were offered a larger room but at a cost . This we found unnecessary as we were just a couple . We found a drying rack in the room a few days later. All the staff we met were absolutely fantastic all so polite and friendly even a gardener working nearby would smile and greet us. Our room was serviced daily our housekeeper was great, always plenty of towels bath and beach. We had breakfast daily and it was great an amazing wide selection, fans were efficient as well. Big shout out to the barista as after a couple of days had my coffee order as I made eye contact! I fell in love with the butterfly pea tea drink on offer every morning! We didn’t eat at the restaurants but did avail ourselves of the cocktails on offer especially during happy hour. They were beautifully presented and tasted great. We used the main pool only a couple of times and one day it we were unable to get a lounger so returned to our own pool from the suite . That would have been an upgrade if we had loungers instead of chairs! We used free shuttle to the centre and night market many times it was very efficient and easy to book a space using the app. I also visited the spa for a manicure it was of high quality- comparable to UK prices but a higher level two nail techs finished with a head neck and shoulder massage and some lovely jasmine tea! The surroundings of the resort were well kept. We visited the private beach which was a scenic walk across a bridge over a river. The beach was quiet but there was a bar and toilet facilities which was good. Especially in low season. We stayed away a couple days as we travelled to a wedding in Ubon and that was ok the room was serviced and all ok. The daily sweet treat delivered with fresh water was also a nice touch.
