“Perfect weekend getaway”

Great hidden gem. Everything was first class. All the people who worked there are super friendly. Que our waiter was so friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Food was very good and a wonderful place to relax and get away.

The staff were all welcoming and nice and helped as much as they could. The room showers were moldy and in need of deep cleaning. There were dirty poofs in the room that were easy to remove, not sure why they even put something that bad in a room. Bed was lumpy but not completely uncomfortable. I just didnt care for it. Getting to the hotel was easy. Communication on extras was ok. We paid extra for the cabana dinner but when the time came we were served food from the bar because the main restaurant was closed. And then were charged again for the food on that menue. So warning, the 600 to 700 you pay for the cabana dinner, will charge you for the food separately. Full disclosure...I paid for the cabana and sister inlay paid the final tab and didnt show me the bill. Paid for the private tiki but when we showed up there was trash and leaves all over it. It was dirty and no cushions. Staff apologized and attempted to clean it up while we stood there. Seems it should have been ready. The wait staff showed up late but seemed to have been called in at last minute. Staff for the tiki tried but couldnt really clean the area well. At one point even suggested that we should have showed up around noon like everyonelse does. So just not prepared for the time we scheduled. The cushions were absolutely nasty...I took photo because I couldnt belive they would put a cloth bag of rotting foam out as cushions. When I showed it to staff they didnt don anything. I suspect they didnt have anything else. As I watched them dig the one they gave us out of a dirty shed. Ants swarmed the area. Staff took a blower to the ants and sprayed them with cleaner. Just not worth the money. This place is ok to take the kids to play but it isnt a couples kind of place. Wish I had known that before booking here. But way over priced for that and you would be better off just going to Disney. I think there is a lot of potential in this hotel but it needs some TLC. Location is beautiful but the facilities are run down. Roof leaking inside the bar so they tied up tarps to slow the water down. And lastly, if you have a catch they do a nice job on prepping your catch but if is half the cost to do this at snooks just down the road. The resort charges 40 per person. I just thought that was steep for fish tacos, when we brought the fish. Snooks only charges hald that and they have live music. We stayed at three diggerent hotels in the Keys, the other two were stellar, but was disappointed in this place.

“Nice Views, Good Location”

We enjoyed this hotel. Good location. This property is right on the beach. We stayed in the coconut wing which gave us a beautiful view. We tried to snorkel other places but to be honest, the snorkeling was the best right here at the hotel. The water was calmer and cleared of most seaweed, we saw a stingray and some other fish. The pool was far at the other end of the hotel, we never saw it. They have giant floaters to lay on in the water and a pier, which we really enjoyed and also daily activities. A bar, nice chairs. Inside there is a pool table, library, scrabble board, bikes. The room was somewhat small. We had a nice patio. I was disappointed there was no microwave. I found that challenging. There was in room coffee and a small fridge. Housekeeping did a good job. There is a restaurant, it’s a bit pricey but good.
