I had the absolute best time at the Cay with my dog Yoshi. Deanne was the sweetest at the front desk. She was so kind to me from the moment I checked in. I also loved seeing Stacy’s bright smile every morning for breakfast, it made my day. There is LOUD construction going on, the website tells you nothing when I booked for 90,000 points a night. The walls are paper thin so you hear everything. If you’re going to do construction start at 10.

They thought it would be a great idea to put us in a room right next door to drilling and dust!! We didn’t even bother to go in. We were given another room which was better. However that was in the noisy building so we had to listen to loud karaoke with a woman who sounded like a strangled cat! That beach was so noisy with few umbrellas. We went to the. “quiet “ beach which had no wifi and no soft drinks like water or coke. Also had the drilling right behind us. I suggested to the receptionist not to put anybody near room 303 bur what did they do!! I overheard them putting new guests there! I witnessed 3 guests who checked in come back. If u want a relaxing stay avoid at all costs!!!! Read less

The hotel has nice rooms, bar/restaurant and beach, but we wouldn’t stay here again. The reception staff seemed poorly trained and some acted like they couldn’t be bothered. There were often queues. Frequently on being asked a question they had to disappear into the back room for ages to find the answer. There were ‘company policies’ which we felt were at odds with the (high) price we had paid for our stay - we were a family of 5 but they would only give us 4 bottles of water because it was ‘company policy’ to only allow 2 per room, and they charged 10 dollars a night to use the hotel car park. This all seemed very churlish when we’d paid over a couple of thousand dollars for a 2 night stay! It left a bad feeling. There are significant building works going on at the moment, for 8 hours a day. The noise was so loud that I couldn’t hear myself think in my room. The guy on reception suggested I use ear plugs! We eventually got moved to a slightly quieter room but not without a fuss and the peace was still disturbed by the works, and hammering going on elsewhere. One of the positive things about the hotel is the bar, which is on the beach. However it was closed on one of our nights for a private function leaving us with nowhere nice to sit for an evening drink. There is an obligatory ‘resort fee’ of 50 dollars a day. In return you get to use kayaks, paddle boards and fish from the dock. In short, could have been lovely but it was very disappointing. Read less
