Stayed here for three nights as a family on a dive trip. We have been local HIE and HI members for 16 years, but this place was disappointing. Staff: overall, there didn’t seem to be many employees at this hotel, except in the morning when the grounds crew was cleaning the pool deck from leaves and such that had fallen during the night. In three days, we had three different bartenders at the pool bar and they all had different interpretations of the kids meal situation. One told us that kids ate free always while another told us that kids only eat free if adults get a meal. I’m fine either way, but get it straight. Upkeep: the hotel has amazing potential due to its location and structure. The landscape is beautiful and the pool area is wonderful. However; the rooms have a way to go. It’s clear that they’ve renovated the rooms, but it was also evident that corners were cut. For example, we could still see carpeting which had been since ripped up and replaced with planks. The bathroom door hinges were solidly rusted, as well, and the walls were very thin, as we could hear kids next to us. Overall, we are not super picky when it comes to hotel rooms because we’ view it as a place to lay our heads; however, I would’ve expected more for over $200 per night. If you’re looking for a room with a good location in Key Largo and don’t care about the amenities, give it a try. Read less

Stayed there over 30 years ago with our then 12 year old daughter, now a career woman in her 40s. Decided to spend one night here on our way to a 4 star resort further south. Remembered the waterfall pool. Greeted at reception by a very professional staff person, Jennifer. She checked us out the next day also. Had a very nice accessible room with 2 Queen beds. Was able to get a bit later checkout and free Wi-Fi as s IHG member. Ample handicapped parking near room and a short distance to the pool. Yummy drinks at tiki bar and went to buy a toothbrush and the desk gifted me one, a pleasant surprise. 2 pools and did swim again under the waterfall. A bit of a sentimental journey. Clean and well kept. Got a member/senior discount. Hotel in the main hub of Key Largo. Very nice short stay and recommend if in you are in the market for a decent place with some nice amenities. Very pleased. Read less

Holiday Inn Key Largo 4-29-25 We picked this place as we booked a ride on The African Queen boat online. The boat is docked right beside the hotel, and they take reservations for a boat ride inside the hotel. You will have access to onsite scuba, snorkeling, African Queen boat ride and Bogie’s restaurant. We rolled in on a Tuesday about 10am. The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. Our rooms were ready and once inside they were very clean, and everything worked and was easy to use. A couple things I thought could be improved there was no workstation desk for laptops and such in our room. Also, between the bathroom door and toilet was a ¼ inch clearance so once inside the bathroom you had to step into the shower to shut the door or open it, kind of weird. Other than that, this room was very functional, and I loved the 2-rocking chairs out on the front patio overlooking the pool. Both pools were immaculate as was the hot tub. The surrounding grounds was beautifully kept, and it made you want to be outside. The bar near the pools was a nice touch and very cool as was the large patio area at the rear of the lobby area. The parking lot was large and near most of the rooms. At no time did we not feel safe going to and from our car. I am so glad we stayed here and would not hesitate to stay here in the future. I would have given this Hotel 5 stars but for the two items I mentioned I took a star off so I give this Hotel 4 out of 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Follow me on FB for more reviews. Gulf Coast Terry Read less
