We decided to try this hotel after The Breakers at Palm Beach. The property is beautiful. The beach is better. We stayed in the bungalows but probably should have gone for the original hotel. The crowd and vibe are different than at The Breakers at Palm, but we still had a good time. This property overall is one notch below The Breakers, but… Read more

This was our first time at this hotel and it was top three worst days of my entire life. From the time we checked in, we were supposed to be close to a room with the rest of our family and not only did the man at the front desk immediately shut me down before looking he also had an attitude, and it wasn’t until one of the managers stepped in where he even attempted to look at the system to see if he can make anything work, which he could not. Time after time even before we arrived. We were trying to get restaurant reservations, and they assured me that they would follow up with confirmation about us sitting together or reservation times and never once did I ever get any form of communication whether it was a call an email or a text message like they assured me and this happened no less than 10 times While we were staying on property and before we even got there. Over and over they gave a bad attitude when we would get to the restaurant and requested for us to be sitting together, even though one person would say we were and then we would get there and they would say we wouldn’t but like I said no one would even return my call or communicate with me for any form of confirmation. When we got to our room, the fruit that we requested was not there and instead they gave us little oranges which is the one fruit. I said my son gets inflammation so they didn’t even read the notes and did not care. The childcare services are ridiculous spending $50 per child per hour is more expensive than any other luxury hotel and not only that no one was even available so for me to have childcare options so I could go work out in the morning doesn’t exist there because the kids club doesn’t even open until 10 AM! There was zero options to make that happen so that is a major flaw and problem and honestly they should have something complementary for kids so adults could go work out, which could even be separate from their kids club and maybe cap the time to three hours so adults can go work out in the morning otherwise there are no options for this and the lack of concern or care for anything that had gone wrong on the trip was very very noticeable. The first night we went to the sushi restaurant and it took two hours for my kids to get their food and we got there before anybody else had gotten to the restaurant at 5 PM in the entire restaurant was completely full and people had gotten their food by the time my kids got their food, which was Ridiculous and the manager would not even come over to apologize or see if there was anything that they could do he just did not care at all. We finally left and took the kids somewhere else to eat.The experience just kept getting worse and worse worse Read less

We stayed in the Tower the Sunday to Friday before Easter, which was a very busy week. The crowds detracted a little from the experience, though the we knew going in it would be a busy holiday week. Rooms: Our family of four did the two adjoining room option in the tower. Technically we had a “resort view” but the room with the king on the corner could see the intercoastal waterway and the ocean in the distance. We enjoyed the view. You could also see the grounds and people below which was fun. The king room was not big, but conveniently laid out. I really liked how the rooms had a table to sit and eat. My only complaints: the bathroom smells seemed to linger and there was no fan. Also, I wish there was an option for hot tea in the room and not only nespresso. Crowds: The Tower and pool area were jam packed with families. This is not a week I would recommend to adults without children with them. There were both hotel guests and club members, all with many kids, including tons of babies in strollers. We felt right at home with our kids. Sometimes, the kids did seem to invade a few places reserved for adults, mainly the bar seating. But they didn’t go into the adult pool. Our kids loved the pool area, but we learned after our first morning that we had to be ready to rush for the chairs right at 9 am when it opened. This pressure detracted a bit from the experience. You could more easily get a chair arriving around 3:30 pm, but by then it felt a little like a tailgate party, and the chairs we claimed from another family had a lot of drink-related litter everywhere, like straws, wrappers, cups, and the smell of spilled coffee. My husband said he could deal with all of this but what he hated were the elevator lines. And because the tower was so tall, taking stairs wasn’t really an option. I will be hesitant to ever book a high hotel room in a resort again. I’d prefer having the option to take the stairs. The food exceeded my expectations, and all the eating and drinking areas were incredibly pleasant. You wanted to linger everywhere. Even getting a pizza, you could bring it to the beautiful area by the water taxi and eat it while drinking champaigne, people watching and looking at the water and the boats. A really good option if you don’t want to sit in a restaurant. The beach was our other big complaint. The water was spectacular and wonderful to swim in. But, even though we arrived around 9:30, and could sit in the second row of chairs, our chairs were right behind a huge cabana tent that completely blocked our view. With kids, I really want to be able to see them in the ocean, which was impossible from our chairs. I took my towel and put it on the ground close to the ocean where I could see better. There were several cabana tents all blocking the views behind them. They should all be in the same area, not blocking views. I prefer the free for all seating at the Jersey Shore! The staff were all wonderful and doing their best. There was some slowness at the poolside restaurant, but the crowds were just overwhelming them. I would say we overall had a really nice time. The weather was spectacular. I was glad we left on Friday before the holiday weekend really kicked into gear. I would recommend this hotel to others for a less busy week. Read less

I give this resort 5 stars all around because there are very few places around this world that have so many different hotels behind their security gated property that can keep up a level of excellence the way this property does. For starters, the valet is extremely well run; checking in and checking out is seamless- you can request a time that you would like for your car to be upfront and it will be there. Secondly, while waiting for our room to be ready at The Cloister Hotel we had Champagne and Caviar in The Palm Court, a gorgeous bar space/lounge overlooking the intercoastal and the yachts that are docked at The Yacht Club Hotel, we also had the pleasure of visiting a room at The Tower Hotel, which offers an incredible panoramic view of the ocean and intracoastal. Milton Brown, Nespresso brands in the room. Read less
