We stayed at the Yacht Club, which is a little piece of heaven! Amazing service, great views, rooms could use a little updating, but all good! We had rain, asked for a deck of cards, they found one and brought to us. Great service, food was delicious (not inexpensive), but worth every penny. A+ all around

I’m deeply disappointed with my recent stay at The Cloister. After a long day of work events, I went to bed exhausted, noticing an odd smell but too tired to investigate. In the morning, I discovered something horrifying: I had been sleeping on a mattress with an old urine stain. When I pulled back the sheet and mattress topper, the stain was clearly visible and absolutely disgusting. I immediately contacted the front desk but received no response for a couple of hours. Eventually, we went down in person to report it. Thankfully, Alex at the front desk was helpful and did assist in relocating us to another room. However, when we returned to retrieve our belongings, we were shocked to find that the housekeeping staff had simply replaced the mattress topper—leaving the stained mattress underneath. I had to remove the topper myself and point out the stain to the Director of Housekeeping, who unfortunately seemed to have trouble understanding what I was saying due to a language barrier. I made it clear that the mattress needed to be replaced. As for the room upgrade, we were told options were very limited. We were moved to a suite, but even that was underwhelming. The suite had no view and smelled extremely musty. We were left choosing the best of several poor options. This experience was appalling and far below the standard I expected from a property of this reputation. Needless to say, I will not be returning to The Cloister. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Lost our luggage. It took over 2.5 hours to find it We arrived at 3 pm no rooms ready. Guaranteed check in at 4 pm. Nope

We arrived at three tried to check in, have a guaranteed reservation by four, that didn't happen. I got checked in and took 20 minutes to check us in. We had reservations at 5:30, luggage got lost and no one had clothes to change into for dinner. Didn't know where the luggage was. This place is a joke.

Having been a dedicated patron for many years, I’ve always held this property in high esteem with many positive memories (regardless of owner group). This last visit, however, marked a sharp and unsettling departure from the hospitality and standards I once associated with this resort. The series of oversights, unacceptable treatment at the lounge and engagement with the Discovery staff—clearly reflect a broader issue under the current ownership: a clear devaluation of guest relationships and long-standing loyalty. It should be YOUR privilege to have me as guest, not the opposite. Ultimately that is how I felt while visiting... As such, I will be seeking alternative accommodations for my future visits to Boca Raton (which are frequent for both business and pleasure). It’s unfortunate that what was once a place of elegance, trust and comfort has now become a symbol of disappointment to me (and others I have shared my experience with). I hope this feedback is taken seriously and a closer look at what “hospitality” truly means, as I was offered none of it during my recent stay. AVOID Read less

A premier, luxe property where the service, ambiance, food, and amenities are all top shelf. We come here every couple of years for a professional conference, but this was our last year. I'm going to miss it so much! It's not a cookie-cutter chain resort but one of a kind and worth a visit
