This is a modern hotel with large modern rooms. The good: 1. The room had an infernal night light that was on all night and could not be turned off which, according to front desk, is a saftey feature that all the rooms have. I requested that it either be disconnected or covered. The hotel covered it but with a blue transparent tape that still let light out. I had to go ahead and use the room key card envelope to completely cover it myself, but some light still shown through. If you are like me and like complete darkness to sleep, I'd consider somewhere else. 2. We booked an Ocenfront room with a wrap-around balcony. The room we received, while it did have a great ocean view as well as a partial bay view, was not a true Oceanfront room which is what we paid for. Ocean front rooms presumably (and those I have previously booked) have unobstructed views to the front, left and right. Here, the view was obstructed to the left and right by buildings (see pictures). Not to be picky, but this should be disclosed given the premium price you pay for this room. I do not rmember the room number but it is the first room you say on the right when you get off the elevator. I did not complain since I was only staying a couple of nights prior to my cruise. The great service started with the professional and courteous car valet service! Peter at the front desk made check in a breeze! My room was generous, exceptionally clean and had a great view! The hotel is stylish, modern and welcoming - and located in an area with plenty of restaurant choices!

We had an ocean front room with a wrap around balcony for 3 nights. The location was perfect and the hotel was up to date and modern. My only problem with the room was that there was no where to store or sit your luggage or unpack some of your clothes. My only problem with the room was that there was no where to store or sit your luggage or unpack some of your clothes. So our suitcase was on the floor in front of the windows and we fumbled around it. The wrap around deck was amazing. The pool was small and not very deep but fine to refresh in and there was also a pool bar. There is a resort fee in which I understood to be for the beach chairs (which are down a block at the Ritz) and gives you a food and beverage credit at the hotel (watch your statement because I found that they did not credit me when I charged food/drinks) There is not a free breakfast but there is a small buffet that was a steep charge of $59 for 2 of us. Go to the Casablanca in front of the hotel instead for breakfast. We had a good time here but felt it was pricey for what it was. Read less

Anitra made our stay extra special. She made sure my bday celebration was great. The hotel lobby is nicely decorated. The gym had everything we needed for a great work out. The hostess at breakfast was so very nice and cheerful it made us smile. Thank you!
