Many of the elevators weren’t working so you had to wait 10-15+ minutes each time to use the elevators. The air quit working in many guest rooms and in the gym. It was HOT to sleep and to workout. Very expensive to have these problems…$600+ per night.

LOVED the decor and the vibe!! Shame reception staff have forgotten the old adage - first impression is what counts. The four receptionists present at our check-in were surly at best. Three were talking and kept us waiting - only when the charming Duty manager walked through and asked the ladies to look after us, did they break up their chat!! We are honours members and have had so many good experiences - not this one. Room type was not what I had booked and paid for "suite" and we were given junior suite. When I queried it i was told by the same receptionist that I had booked through expedia when I tried to explain that wasn't exactly the case, but was told categorically that I had and I would have to contact them!! Hmmm, whatever happened to the loyalty upgrade if possible? At this point, I gave up !!!! as I don't really need to be spoken to like that by a very young and inexperienced receptionist - whether she's on the late Sunday night shift and not happy about it or not !! So I moved on ...... The room layout and furnishings were pleasant - bed as usual very comfortable, however, one light in the bedroom didn't work (leaving only two bedside lights, so meaning the bedroom was left very dark). One light in the bathroom didn't work either. When my husband first stepped into the shower, he found the base full of sand, and then as we went to bed that night. there was sand on either side of the bed, which of course ended up in our bed, off our feet. Come on guys ......... you're a beach hotel ?? and in case you're wondering, we didn't go near the beach - we only stayed one night as we were meeting friends for dinner and leaving early the following morning, so we didn't bother to say anything. Check out - had a beach bar bill for the day of arrival for $66, which wasn't ours!! was taken off immediately, but just another reception error !! We did have dinner at the 3 s restaurant with our friends that evening - the hostess and server were fabulous and chatty and extremely attentive. The food was also very tasty and well presented, so our faith was a little redeemed until we got sand in the bed !!! Read less
