The hotel

Welcome to this stunning Fort Lauderdale getaway! With a prime beachfront location, stylish design, and plenty of luxury amenities, it’s the perfect spot for a road trip stop, a romantic escape, or a fun family beach holiday. Step out of the modern lobby and you're just steps from the sandy shores of central Fort Lauderdale beach, where the hotel has a beach concierge on hand to tend to your needs. You can even pick up a carefully curated picnic basket beforehand at Honey Fitz to take with you! Speaking of food and drink, you can enjoy delicious meals back at Evelyn's Restaurant, accompanied by elevated ocean views. But if you're looking for something more casual then the poolside dining is for you. Take a dip in one of the two pools on the ocean sun deck, then enjoy some fresh seafood and an innovative cocktail from the comfort of your sun bed. Make sure to check out the hotel's complimentary activities, from barista classes to tequila tasting - there's plenty of fun to be had. The same can be said for the little ones. The kid's club is also based on the sun deck, and with scavenger hunts and arts and crafts just the tip of the list, they'll be entertained for hours. You can spend hours in the spa or the salon or simply sunbathe with a good book. Whilst you're on the doorstep of central beach, why not use the complimentary bicycles to take a ride down to Las Olas Beach, and the boulevard, famous for its cuban influences, which are reflected in the many shops, bars, and restaurants that line the area.

The hotel is situated on the beach in a row of upscale hotels. Check in was fine, but there was only one person working the desk and there were several people waiting to check in. The lobby area is small but well appointed. The desk clerk was extremely friendly and pleasant. I had a special deal through Chase called "The Edit" which provides a hotel credit of $100, free breakfast, a space-available upgrade and late checkout. The clerk was aware of that and informed me that the Maasa restaurant was not on that plan since its privately owned. We could use their restaurant, where we ate for dinner and breakfast. Parking was $60 per night, which seemed very high but similar to other properties on the street. The resort fee was about $60 as well and we didn't use any of the supposed amenities that the fee covered. It was basically a way to get more money from us for absolutely nothing. I usually won't even stay in a hotel that charges a resort fee but made an exception. So, before even checking in we had already spent $60 on parking and $60 on the resort fee in addition to the $800 our room cost for the night. Our room was not available so we explored the hotel. A few hours later we received a text that the room was ready. We did not get an upgrade. A bellmen helped us up to the room, showed us around the room and was very nice. The room was very clean, well appointed with a nice bathroom, two sinks, a nice touch, a private toilet, a bathtub, another nice touch, and a shower . It was all marble and very attractive. There was a very large balcony with a nice view of the ocean. The beds were very comfortable, and the furnishings were very nice. There was some complimentary water in addition to the a minibar where a small packet of M & M's were $12. We went to the gym which was very basic with a few machines, towels, lockers which I couldn't figure out how to use, several treadmills, a few weighlifting machines, and a nice water dispenser. It was nicer that a basic motel gym but for the cost of the hotel, not up to expectations. After the gym we went to the pool. There are two pools, one was "adult only" but was directly next to the all family pool. The adults-only pool was surrounded by cabanas, which apparently were available for $400 rental, but there were no signs indicating that. We found out by sitting down and being told we couldn't sit there unless we paid to rent the cabana for the day. it was sunny and all of the "free" seating was in the hot sun and that was not going to work for us. There were many empty cabanas and it was quite irratating to pay $800+ for a hotel room and not be able to use the cabana without paying more. The family pool was not large and there wasn't enough seating for non-cabana guests. Kids were screaming and it was an unpleasant experience so we left the pool after a few minutes. Hardly the experience we were expecting for the price we paid. We ate in their cafe for dinner. It was nice with very wonderful service. Drinks averaged $25 and we ordered a house red wine, which to our surprise, was $38 a glass. The dinner was "small plates" and averaged about $25 per plate, We ordered roasted chicken which was $52, plus an eggplant spread which came with pita bread, and the most delicious dessert ever, a Dubai chocolate cake thing that was to die for. Our dinner was $235 with tip for the above-listed items. Very overpriced but very good. The next day we had breakfast in the same place and it was $84 for a waffle, a cup of coffee and a smoked salmon plate that was served with what they call a "jerusalem bagel" which was OK but very small. They gave a very decent amount of fish on the plate, but the bagel was so tiny I needed to ask for more and the waiter brought another bagel at no charge. We were given late checkout but ended up leaving at noon. We tried to go to the pool again but it was crowded and full of kids screaming. All in all, for the money, there are much nice and more luxurious places to stay. I feel that the value for the money was very bad and I would not stay here again. Read less

FS FTL is becoming our easy getaway spot. We’ve stayed several times since it opened. The property is immaculate. Great for families with kids. Highly recommend. Go for ocean view. Views in general can vary, do not book Lauderdale view room. Lowest floor level and looks straight back (street not water).

It all starts with the service. If you don’t feel, pampered and attended to, you must be dead. I have never met so many happy workers in one place. Every single person we had contact with was polite, asking about our stay, and if there was anything they could do for us. This started the front desk and continued with the pool staff, housekeepers,… Read more

Every single person we had contact with was polite, asking about our stay, and if there was anything they could do for us. This started the front desk and continued with the pool staff, housekeepers, spa personnel and waitstaff. We had a King ocean view room that was well appointed and comfortable. Both restaurants are great. Drinks were a bit high priced but were very good. Can’t wait to go back. Read less

The property has the potential to be amazing, the staff could not be more professional and kind , unfortunately the room quality has much to be desired as my pictures show . Had I just been moved to a different room I hope this review could be more positive. We experienced no hot water two broken irons and endless time explaining the issues. As well as a traveling soccer team walking through the lobby with no shoes no shirts and towels with massage tables and cooler’s. Is this the Four Seasons? After speaking with Chris from house keeping as well as Drake from room assisting, we were offered a complimentary night on our next booking. I’m somewhat disappointed that I’m being offered a complimentary night as long as I spend more money? I would think if I paid for a two night stay at a 5 star hotel like the Four Seasons I would enjoy two nights . I did reach out to Chris from housekeeping to decline his offer and explained that per our conversation I was insulted by his misleading offer. I have yet to have a response? I booked with American Express Platinum, I received all the perks it offered, this is my issue, I’ve stayed at the Four Seasons International and Domestically many times before, things happen just address it make it correct don’t waist my time. Came on vacation for my honeymoon leased some chairs from a beach employee named Kevin, was offered complimentary water. Went swimming in the beach worked up an appetite and purchased some food due to the service we received was delightful. Since my experience was so lovely I told my husband we must book for the hotel on our next trip to Florida.
