Riverside Hotel

Fort Lauderdale, Gold Coast Beaches

Star rating

The hotel

Full of Old Florida charm, the Spanish tile floors and and overhead fans means that this classic hotel fits in well within the Cuban feel of Las Olas Boulevard. The road is the forefront of everything from restaurants to fashion boutiques, art galleries to bars - so it's a great alternative to the oceanfront hotels of Fort Lauderdale, and the beach is still only a 10 minute drive away! There's a wide variety of dining options available within the hotel too - with Wild Sea featuring an impressive raw bar and a creative seafood menu, all of which can be enjoyed whilst watching the yachts sail down the river. The Golden Lyon Pub and Preston's Wine and Martini Lounge both offer happy hours for a pre-dinner tipple too. If you're not planning to spend much time in your room, the Micro room offers value for money, but upgrading will give you more space to relax in for families.

We were welcomed very warmly. I was very impressed by the staff’s courtesy and friendly nature. Yasin was extremely polite and respectful . He helped us with our baggages to our room. He inquired if we needed to be helped in anyway. The room was clean bright. We would definitively comeback again. The overstay was a pleasant experience and the… Read more

This hotel is in an excellent location. The personnel is friendly and tries to help with what they have to work with. The hotel is old and shows it. Room has no overhead light and lamp has dimmest bulb possible. I am literally writing this review by using the flashlight on my phone. No valet service during day. Very nice place, we would stay again. Great location in downtown Ft. Lauderdale right at the end of the Riverwalk, which we could see from our window. You could also catch water taxis there. Many excellent restaurants within walking distance and grab a gelato on the way back.

Our mini suite has an excellent view of the New River and the many boats and yachts which use this River. The hotel restaurants, the Wild Sea and Boathouse are excellent. The swimming pool area is well maintained. Management is serious about security . Ladarius is an example of the high quality of the security staff. I have limited mobility. Ladarius, aware of my situation, was very thoughtful and helpful. The desk staff is very professional. Renee,DeeDee and Elizabeth make sure that we are comfortable and that we have everything we need. The valet staff { includes bellmen } is efficient and very competent. Read less

We have stayed here several times over the last few years. This time the service levels seemed way off. We checked in and went to our room. Our room key did not work and we had to go back to the lobby only to find that the clerk keyed in the wrong room. Housekeeping came in consistently at times. I needed to ask three times for two extra pillows. The food quality was great and the service at the boathouse was fantastic. It just seemed like the hotel staff didn’t have it together. The worst was after I checked out and looked at my receipt, I was charged for a bottle of water that I never used. Very frustrating. Read less
