Riverside Hotel

Fort Lauderdale, Gold Coast Beaches

Star rating

The hotel

Full of Old Florida charm, the Spanish tile floors and and overhead fans means that this classic hotel fits in well within the Cuban feel of Las Olas Boulevard. The road is the forefront of everything from restaurants to fashion boutiques, art galleries to bars - so it's a great alternative to the oceanfront hotels of Fort Lauderdale, and the beach is still only a 10 minute drive away! There's a wide variety of dining options available within the hotel too - with Wild Sea featuring an impressive raw bar and a creative seafood menu, all of which can be enjoyed whilst watching the yachts sail down the river. The Golden Lyon Pub and Preston's Wine and Martini Lounge both offer happy hours for a pre-dinner tipple too. If you're not planning to spend much time in your room, the Micro room offers value for money, but upgrading will give you more space to relax in for families.

Unbelievable. This was a fairly good experience completely ruined by the staff upon checkout. As this was a business trip, I requested that a receipt be emailed to me when I checked out. I confirmed the email address and left. Later that evening, when trying to expense the trip, I realized that the receipt was never sent either to my listed email address of spam. I then called the hotel (evening of 8/3/2025 around 11:15) and asked that the receipt be sent again. The male clerk who answered told me he would email the receipt again. When the receipt again did not arrive I tried to call back and the desk clerk did not answer my call despite multiple attempts to call. I'm thinking that maybe management should let this clerk explore other career options? Read less

I had a co-worker staying at Riverside and we had a business breakfast at the hotel. I had an outstanding experience with Cassandra, the valet supervisor. Her warm, friendly and excellent customer service was delightful. Breakfast was great also!

We stayed here for 4 nights in a Junior Suite with a king bed to attend a destination wedding (of which we were part of bridal party). The hotel was recently renovated but still kept an old school South Florida charm to it. Our room was very nicely done. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was spacious for 2 people. Our balcony had a nice view of the river and sunsets. My husband utilized the desk area to do some work and he found it to be decently sized for his laptop. My only complaint about the room was our coffee maker did not work. We like the availability of restaurants on hotel property and walking distance. The Boathouse restaurant was nice for watching boats as we ate. It was an absolutely beautiful wedding venue. The ceremony was outside next to the river and reception was on an upper floor patio. The food and drinks at the wedding were all very good. The bride and groom were very happy with how the wedding turning out and it was a beautiful night. This wedding was our first trip to Ft Lauderdale, but we will stay at The Riverside again if we return. Read less
