Where is it

Across the street from Fort Lauderdale's 7-mile stretch of sandy beach. On the corner of Sunrise Boulevard, minutes from the Las Olas Arts & Entertainment District. A 20-minute drive to Port Everglades and 1 hour to Miami's South Beach. Driving time from Miami International Airport: 45 minutes.

Hotel information

240 rooms and suites on 13 floors. All with ocean views, air-conditioning, WiFi access, 49" flat-screen TV, safe, alarm clock with USB charging station, mini-fridge, hairdryer, Keurig coffee machine, Coco Mango bath amenities, and iron and ironing board.

Deluxe Rooms are 300-350 sq ft, located on the lower floors, and offer views of the grounds and the ocean, with 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 4 people.

Ocean Curved Rooms are 350 sq ft and have views of the beach and ocean and either 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 4 people.

Superior Deluxe Rooms are 300-350 sq ft and offer panoramic oean views, with either 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 4 people.

Superior Ocean Curved Rooms are 300 sq ft and offer a panoramic ocean curve, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Preferred Rooms are the same as above but are located on higher floors.

Junior Suites are 385 sq ft and have views of Birch State Park and intracoastal waterways or the ocean, with 1 king-size bed plus sofa bed, sleeping maximum 4 people.

Junior Romance Suites are the same as above, with the addition of a separate bathtub within the room.

Master Suites are 635 sq ft and feature a living room with sofa bed, sining table and six chairs, wet bar, and bedroom with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 4 people.

Steelpan (Caribbean-American fusion, open for all-day dining and drinks, with daily happy hour). 2ONE2 Breeze Lounge (speakeasy bar, open on Friday evenings).

Daily entertainment including cheese and wine evenings, ice cream hour and yoga on the beach (selected days and times, enquire at reception).

Infinity-edge outdoor swimming pool with sun deck, cabanas* and lounge chairs. 24-hour fitness centre. Access to Evara spa* (located off-site). Beach yoga.

My wife and I had a weekend getaway at the Sonesta Fort Lauderdale and celebrated our anniversary. I want to say that it could not have been more perfect. At check in the front desk staff Andrea greated us and was incredible. She took time to explain every amenity including free wifi. This hotel is modern, new feeling, extremely clean, rooms are perfect with waterfall showers, mini refrigerator, safe and incredible views of the beach which is right across the street. Two beach chairs per day is included, we also received 25 off at the restrurant, nice pool, towels, nice bar you can use inside or out and the breakfast was incredible. Several small restrurants are right next door along with sovenier shops. This hotel is literally minutes away from the marina, Los Olas Blvd and in a perfect location. I would highly recommend this hotel. Valet parking is available as well. We were so surprised they even gave us totally free breakfast and 2 drinks for our anniversary. Going on a cruise and coming early or staying afterward the hotel is about 8 miles away from Port Everglades and airport. We will definitely be back!! Thank you for a wonderful time. Terrance was super helpful with pool umbrellas! Very friendly and accommodating! Whenever I visit South Florida I stay at the Sonesta. The food here is amazing - Tropical pancakes are the most delicious.....................great staff!😃👍🏾
