Hyatt Coconut Point has become our go-to family getaway, and for good reason. This resort checks all the boxes for a memorable, stress-free trip with young kids. The pool area is incredible, with plenty of space, waterslides, and activities that keep our children happy and entertained all day. There’s a real sense of thoughtfulness in how the resort is designed for families while still feeling like a relaxing escape for adults. We use Chase Sapphire points to book our stays, and it’s been an excellent value every time. The booking process is smooth, and the resort staff has always gone above and beyond—most recently, they were able to check us in early, which made a big difference with two little ones in tow. We’ve stayed here multiple times now and each visit reinforces why we keep coming back. The staff is warm and welcoming, the property is beautiful and well-maintained, and there’s a great energy throughout the whole place. Highly recommend for any family looking for a mix of fun, relaxation, and quality time together. Read less

The Hyatt Regency Coconut Point is a nice property, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the expectations set by its website or its premium nightly rates. There were no real activities geared toward teens, and the overall atmosphere in the evenings felt chaotic. At one of the pools, kids were jumping off a nearby roof and behaving disruptively, with no staff in sight to intervene. This lack of supervision reinforced the impression that the hotel is understaffed. Even the adults-only pool and hot tub weren't monitored, making it feel more like a free-for-all than a relaxing retreat. Worse yet, those “adult” areas were underwhelming, plain and unremarkable, with nothing that made them feel like a special or upscale escape. Accessing the beach turned out to be more trouble than it was worth. Getting there was fine, but returning involved long, inconvenient delays—at one point we were stuck waiting for nearly an hour. We also opted for the breakfast package hoping to indulge a little, but it was a letdown. The offerings were basic at best—nothing we couldn’t have picked up elsewhere for a fraction of the price. For a hotel that brands itself as upscale on Florida’s Gulf Coast, the lack of variety and quality at breakfast was disappointing. Read less
