Where is it

On the beachfront, a short stroll to shopping, dining, and nightlife of Clearwater Promenade, and half a mile from Pier 60. Distance from Tampa International Airport: 21.5 miles.

230 rooms and suites. All with Gulf of Mexico views, private balcony, floor-to-ceiling windows, air-conditioning, flat-screen TV, mini-fridge, coffee maker, safe and hairdryer. 

Spacious Gulf Front Rooms (previously named Premium Gulf Front) are 360 sq ft with large balconies that boast views of the Gulf, with either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, plus sofa-bed, sleeping maximum 4 people.

One Bedroom Gulf Front King Suites offer views of the beachfront and the Gulf of Mexico, and feature a separate living room with queen-size sofa bed, dining table for four, kitchenette, bathroom with separate shower and tub, and master bedroom with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 people.

Clearwater's 'Jolley Trolley' goes around all of the hotels in Clearwater, show your hotel room key and ride for free. Self-parking $25 plus tax per day, and Valet parking $40 plus tax per day (payable locally, subject to change).

Please note: There is currently a new hotel being built across the street from Opal Sands. The project is anticipated to be finished towards the end of 2024, and work will take place between the hours of 7.00am-4.00pm Monday to Friday. There may be some minor disruption, but no significant noise should be heard. All of the Premium King and Queen rooms face the Gulf of Mexico and do not look over the construction site.

Photographers were so amazing!! They made us laugh and smile and were great to work with. Easy going no stress photo session. They worked with us on poses and even made the husband comfortable! We highly recommend!!

Get the ribeye, thank me later. Also, the resort has some nice amenities and you can use Opal Sol’s amenities and restaurants too. Very grown atmosphere, not many young kids but even so, well behaved kids and very pleasant. We’ll be back :). Only downside is the city shuts down at 11pm basically, prepare for that. Read less

Also the evening sunsets , nothing else compares to these views . This was our third visit , excellent as previously . It was our anniversary during our stay and this was made very special by Lucas , spoiling us with treats . It’s all about the details to me . Pool staff great especially Antony , extremely helpful . Breakfast in the sea guini was superb . Rooms are beautifully decorated , spotless , beds super comfy , excellent toiletries. Pool food and drinks excellent . With a number of 5 star hotels now along Clearwater beach in competition, I would still always choose this one hands down . There is one small point where improvements could be made ,by having a courtesy room/ facility once you have checked out to shower/ change at the end of the day ready for the late evening flights back to the UK . Again I find myself trying to shower by the pool and change in the public toilets which isn’t great ! Apart from that absolutely amazing . Read less
