This resort nestles along a ¼-mile stretch of sugar white sand at the tip of Estero Island on Florida’s popular Gulf Coast. The resort is spread out over a generous 12 acres on which you’ll find the fun-filled Octopool freeform pool featuring waterfall, giant shells, sponges and more. Relax around one of the three swimming pools or for the more energetic, enjoy a sailing lesson at the resort’s exclusive offshore sailing school.

195 rooms and suites in 3 buildings each with 2 lifts. All with private balcony, air-conditioning, flat screen TV with on demand movies and Chromecast streaming device, coffee/tea making facilities, in-room safe, kitchenette with hob and fridge, complimentary WiFi access, iron and ironing board, and hairdryer.  

Deluxe Gulfview Rooms overlook the Gulf of Mexico and pool, with 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 people.

2-Bedroom White Sand Villas are located in the main building above the Octopool, with a fully-equipped kitchen with washer/dryer, large living and dining room, and a private balcony with gulf and pool views, with 1 king-size bed in the master bedroom and 2 double beds in the second bedroom, sleeping maximum 6 adults or 2 adults and 4 children.

Rae's Real Italian (beachfront dining, wine and specialty cocktails, open for dinner). Bongo’s Bar and Grill (open for lunch and dinner). Jack's Restaurant (serving complimentary daily breakfast buffet with waterfront views). Bob's Beach Bar (serving cocktails and small plates directly on the beach). Pool and beach waiter service.

Live music at Bongo's Bar and Grill (selected evenings). Daily events schedule which includes dive-in movies, arts and crafts, nature discovery walks, and pool games.

3 swimming pools and 2 hot tubs (one pool and one hot tub are in the Adult only (17+) section). Secluded beach with beach chairs and umbrellas. All the reviews mentioning how wonderful the staff are —are 100% correct! There’s elevator issues, but signs are posted letting guests know elevators are slow as they’re still recovering from hurricane. We needed housekeeping ( our messy fault) they were there right away. We had a family member experience a medical issue during wedding reception and staff respond immediately and sensitively. Ft Myers beach is still recovering so not a lot of hotel options and Times Square shopping area still looks like it has a ways to go before fully recovered, but if you’re looking for a family resort that you don’t have to leave the resort to have fun- Pink Shell is THE BEST family resort I’ve ever stayed- lots of activities for kids, plus FREE breakfast with lots of options including made to order omelets. Tip: Pink shell beach bag- complimentary in rooms is durable and waterproof and very large- 2 or 3 beach towels, lotion, snacks fit great. Don’t bring a beach bag unless you have a large family as pink shell’s works great. Also, I was worried about the wrist bands to get in/out of beach due to wedding (didn’t want to have a plastic wrist bands on at reception). However, these slip off on easily so slipped it off for wedding reception. Only suggestion— bathtub in White Sands is extra deep, and also extra high. It is raised up a step, so as an older person with knee issues- it was a little tricky getting out and since it’s raised up- there’s only a narrow step to put your foot on first— then you step onto the bath floor- it would be nice to have a grab bar mounted next to tub to grab onto for more stability. The resort is great. Everyone is helpful and nice. The rooms are clean and very spacious and the views cannot be beat. We went on the backpack tour with Ranger Rob this am and it was wonderful. We saw a lot of wildlife and learned many things but our favorite was manatees swimming right up to us and under our kayaks. We worth the tour!

Dony, our fantastic wedding planner from 10 years ago, had champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries delivered to our room to commemorate our anniversary. The highlight of our trip was the unforgettable beach dinner experience. The setting was breathtaking: a beautifully arranged table on the sand, complete with elegant décor and soft lighting that added a romantic glow as the sun set. The view of the ocean was mesmerizing, and the sunset created a picture-perfect backdrop we’ll never forget. Dinner itself was phenomenal. We started with a refreshing shrimp cocktail appetizer—plump, chilled shrimp with tangy cocktail sauce. For the main course, the filet was melt-in-your-mouth tender and cooked to perfection. The grouper was fresh, flaky, and delicately seasoned, offering a perfect taste of the ocean. Dessert was just as memorable, with a flourless chocolate torte and a creamy slice of cheesecake that ended the evening on a sweet, indulgent note. The addition of a Bluetooth speaker at our table made the evening even more personal and special. We were able to play our own music, which added a unique, intimate touch to the evening. It felt like our own private celebration under the stars. A special shoutout goes to Myra, our beach dinner server, who truly went above and beyond to make our evening unforgettable. She was gracious, attentive, and kind, constantly checking in at just the right moments without interrupting our celebration's flow. And thank you again, Dony, for curating this special dinner for us - it was so special and memorable. The Pink Shell is not cheap but I felt very good about the cost after our stay. When you drive up to the property, it is very nice looking. Friendly staff is there for you from start to finish. The kindness and attention to detail from the staff from the valet to the front desk to the breakfast team to the grounds team is second to no place I've stayed. Free breakfast each day and it's not just waffles and a banana, it's a solid buffet that varies each day and made to order omelette station. Staff was kind and able to accommodate some dietary allergies. Pool and bar area was very clean with numerous activities. Beach was well maintained. Rooms were well laid out and clean. Free bike rentals available on site as well as kayaks. Jet skis and golf carts available for paid rentals. Free movie nights by the pool, free margarita party's. 3 pools with one being adult only. We just returned home from the Pink Shell. What a wonderful week. It was a place to relax and enjoy the sun. A special shout out to Devin who was our breakfast host. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We are already anxious to return!
