I had an overall enjoyable stay and appreciated many aspects of the property during my short 4-day visit. Everything went smoothly until my final day, which unfortunately left a disappointing impression. On that day, the pool area was disorganized, so I headed down to the beach instead. At the main beach hut, I was met by an employee named Zehra who came across as dismissive, as though I was interrupting or inconveniencing her. When I was eventually seated by a gentleman, I was mistakenly placed in another guest’s reserved area. This led to an uncomfortable exchange, where I was accused of taking someone else’s seats and their belongings. I returned to the hut, and fortunately, another staff member there quickly acknowledged the mistake, apologized, and helped me get set up properly with fresh seating. Unfortunately, the issues didn’t stop there. Ordering food was a frustrating experience—despite trying to flag down the cart staff multiple times, I had to approach them myself, and it still took 20 minutes to receive a drink and nearly an hour and a half for my food to arrive. This was quite surprising, especially considering the excellent service I received during the earlier part of my stay. To top it off, as I was checking out, the front desk staff engaged in an argument with me, adding further stress to what had already become a disappointing final day. While my overall experience was mostly positive, the service and organization on the last day did not reflect the quality or standard I expected, especially considering the price paid. I hope this feedback helps highlight areas for improvement—perhaps a refresher in customer service training could help ensure a consistently positive experience for all guests moving forward. We had an amazing family stay at JW Marriott Marco Island! The beach was beautiful, pools were perfect for all ages, and the food and drinks were excellent. A highlight was our photo session with Chris from the Photography Concierge—he captured stunning family photos we’ll cherish forever. Highly recommend for a fun and relaxing family getaway!

Outstanding service, solid food, excellent pools for kids, beautiful beach! We traveled with a 5 and almost 4 yo and found the resort perfect for our kids ages! Oh my goodness what a surprise, this island and this hotel is gorgeous. Very welcoming staff. We had dinner and drinks beach side, it was a delicious meal and great drinks. The pool is large clean and beautiful. The resort fee includes beach chairs and an umbrella which is setup for up by the beach attendants. We were upgraded to a king bed ocean front room, it was large, very clean, wonderful bed and pillows. Beautiful large bathroom. We would definitely recommend and will most definitely return. Absolutely the Worst Experience – Food Poisoning, Overcharging, and Alarms with No Notice My husband and I had an absolutely horrific experience at this property, and I feel compelled to share so others can be warned. We had dinner at the sushi bar located on the second floor, and within just 30 minutes, both of us began to feel violently ill. We barely made it back to our room before experiencing severe food poisoning symptoms — vomiting, fever, chills, and weakness that lasted through the night and well into the following day. It was one of the worst nights of our lives. To make matters worse, instead of offering any assistance, the bartender took advantage of our situation and outrageously overcharged us. When we attempted to bring this to the attention of management, we were met with silence. The General Manager was completely unreachable throughout our entire stay — no returned calls, no email responses, no accountability. As if that wasn’t enough, a fire alarm started blaring at 8 AM the next morning — nonstop for TWO hours. No prior notice, no communication from the property, and absolutely no consideration for guests, especially for those who were as ill as we were. Any decent hotel usually informs guests of scheduled alarms, but not here. This was, without question, the most poorly managed and inconsiderate hotel experience we’ve ever had. Between the food poisoning, the blatant price gouging, and the total lack of guest communication or care, we will never return and strongly advise others to stay away. Read less
