Your first stop.....Maia restaurant to see the world famous Dolly! Not only a waitress as she works so hard to make sure you have the most amazing experience, but I'm grateful to say I can now call Dolly a friend. My husband and I returned to the JW Marriott for an extended weekend and overall the trip was wonderful. We previously ventured to the JW Marriott in October 2024 for a business trip of mine, but Milton decided to pay a visit and we left 24 hours later. The most amazing part of our first, short trip was breakfast at Maia. Do yourself a favor and go see Dolly, Vishal and Sean. Ask for Bianca as well who is so lovely and will ensure you have a wonderful start to your day. If you aren't sure what to do at the resort, do stop by the concierge and see Janine and Linda! The most lovely ladies and they made sure we ate very well the entire stay. You have to check out Snook Inn which has a salad bar and some of the prettiest views. I had Mahi tacos and my husband had a grouper sandwich. It will surely spoil you!! We didn't care for Nacho Mama's, so you probably could skip that restaurant. Do stop into the t-shirt store next to it and see Debbie. A wonderful lady with a lot of funny t-shirts you can bring home to family. A second amazing spot was Cocomos! We both had Grouper Luis which was the fish with a crabcake on top and delicious doesn't quite cover it. Our waitress Amaya was lovely and took exceptional care of us! The homemade key lime pie for dessert has ruined us and we can't wait to see if they will ship it to us. The resort does have a lot of kids and some were more behaved than others. It would be really nice if the resort had an adults only section. One of the restaurants (Tesoro) is adults only, but we didn't have any meals there. The staff at the jewelry store (Ivana) was super friendly and gave us so many recommendations. Prices were a bit nuts, but to be expected for the convenience. If you don't have a car, look into The Wave! This is a one man company (Mike) who will drive you around in a golf cart for free, tips are welcomed. My husband and I used Mike a lot and it was such a pleasure. Lastly, we were spontaneous and went to The Spa! Last minute decision which we hadn't planned but I'm so glad we need. I had a facial with Sharon (INCREDIBLE) and my husband had a massage and could not stop raving about it. You do get access to the facilities which is nice and I didn't feel the services were that outlandish. Great place for a long weekend but there is not a ton to do. The hotel has an arcade on premises called 10-K but a good amount of games were not working. Even late in the evening there were a lot of kids. I love kids, don't get me wrong, but when you want some alone time with your husband, it makes things a bit tough. Thank you again to DOLLY, Vishal, Sean, Bianca, Janine and Linda. I feel nice and refreshed and maybe ready to go back to work. Read less

My husband and I were really looking forward to our stay at the JW Marriott Marco Island, but unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations. The issues began even before we arrived. Trying to arrange a birthday amenity for my brother’s 40th was a frustrating ordeal. I was kept on hold for long stretches, hung up on multiple times, and had to repeat basic information like my name and the reservation number over and over. Even after providing a screenshot of the reservation, they couldn’t locate it. When I arrived early, I wasn’t allowed to check in because the reservation was under my husband’s name, even though we share the same last name. I offered to have him send a copy of his license, but the front desk refused. Only after tracking down a manager was I finally allowed to check in. At check-in, I requested a lightweight blanket. Hours later, it still hadn’t arrived. That evening, I called down to follow up, only to be placed on long holds and disconnected multiple times. My husband then messaged through the Bonvoy app around 10:30 p.m. We were told a blanket was on the way, but by 11:15 p.m., it still hadn’t arrived and we gave up. Meanwhile, my brother, who had rented a $500+ cabana for his birthday, received almost no service. Despite being promised dedicated staff, a server only stopped by twice the entire day. They essentially paid for water and a crappy cabana. When we shared our frustrations with the front desk, one agent actually laughed when my husband said he wasn’t enjoying the stay. That level of disregard was the final straw. We ended our vacation early and checked out a day ahead of schedule. On the positive side, the guest room was lovely, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the resort itself is beautiful. The valets and breakfast servers were also fantastic, friendly, attentive, and professional. If the rest of the service had been on par with those teams, this would have been a very different review. Unfortunately, what should have been a relaxing getaway turned into a series of service failures that completely soured the experience. Read less

Very nice room with great bed and pillows. Younger crowd here. Beach is super wide and nice. Food and service is very good. Getting to Valet dropping off the car at 2 pm will be a challenge. Perfect for sunsets. Balconies all around are generously sized.

Terrible front desk service. I was there for a conference and when we checked into our room it was warm (thermostat said 82F). We turned on the AC and went to dinner. Came back and it was no cooler. Called the desk they sent someone from Engineering who simply kept repeating the phrase "I adjusted on the computer" but could not explain what was adjusted or how that would help. An hour later no cooler. Go to the front desk and explain the situation. They say there are no other rooms available but they can give me a box fan. I tell them that is not acceptable and suddenly they do have a room we can switch to. It may have been a small upgrade but if it was I am not sure why. The next day I lost my bracelet room key. There was 1 person working the desk and 1 customer in front of me. After waiting 10 minutes, I asked if they could get someone else to help at the desk. They stated that they had already tried and went back to helping the customer. However when they went into the back room I could see 2 additional staff back there. I finally got a new key but it was frustrating. Read less

If you want a chair by the pool, you’ll need to wake up around 6 AM to get in line and wait roughly an hour for it to open. Then, like everyone else, you rush in and try to reserve a seat with a towel. It’s chaotic and far from a luxury experience. This process needs improvement. I shared my concerns with Marriott but never received a response. Read less
