This hotel is a work of art. Quite literally! As you walk into the hotel you'll instantly notice the distinctive artwork and creative decorations surrounding you, and during your stay you're likely to see curated gallery exhibitions as well as art and wine tours on offer - so you can really ignite your creative mind! Whilst the art is a key factor in making this hotel so great, there's a host of other facilities to enjoy too - one of our favourites being the rooftop pool and bar where you can enjoy lovely views of Sarasota and the marina whilst taking a dip or enjoying a cocktail. The perks continue in your room, with colouring pencils and a sketchbook as well as a ukelele! Opt for a high floor room to enjoy more beautiful views, they're definitely worth it. The hotel is in the heart of Sarasota so it's easy to explore. Sarasota farmers market is just a couple of minutes walk away, and you're only 3 miles from the beautiful Lido Key Beach on the Gulf of Mexico. Complimentary bicycles are available too, so you can whip around the town to find some great restaurants and shops.

Family Spring Break in Sarasota
Apr 18, 2025Nicholas MStony Point, NY
Art Ovation was a truly magnificent experience for me and my family. John and Josh made it so easy for us to get from the hotel to areas in Sarasota by the shuttle. Really great people and took care of us. Will be back for the third time in the fall.
Long review - but worth the read!

PROS:
- Beautiful ambience, clean, friendly staff
- Free cooler & beach chairs to take to the beach
- Rooms are really nice & modern
- 15 min from Siesta Key Beach / Restaurants
CONS:
- paper thin walls. If you are OK with hearing the person in the next room talking, etc and are a heavy sleeper then this won't be a problem for you. To further this point - during the first night of our stay I was literally startled out of my sleep, heart racing, etc bc I thought a frat party was happening in my bed. Turns out it was the room next door - party room - all completely inebriated. I literally felt like I was in there with them. I called the front desk and they immediately sent security. I went out in the hallway and my neighbor across the way was also out there and had placed a call. Security came very quickly and informed the party room that one more complaint and the police would be called & they would be evicted from the property. He escorted the partyers downstairs to the lobby. Things were peaceful until he came back and I heard him say "where the F am I?". I called the desk again and it was handled. Long story longer, the hotel did everything they could to improve the situation - they are not responsible for people's bad behavior.
- parking will come with a fee. Valet is $40 and the parking garage behind the hotel is $23 per day. You park on the 3rd floor and then there is a bridge on the 2nd floor of the garage that takes you to the 3rd floor of the hotel. The parking situation involves a lot of walking and isn't terribly convenient.
- they only had one working elevator the 3 nights we were there. This really was quite inconvenient bc you were waiting sometimes 10 min for an elevator to squeeze into.
All in all it was nice. I would give them a chance if the price is right. Don't overpay to stay here.

Loving the gallery bar!

Had a fantastic time in the gallery. We had the best experience mainly because our bartender Kelly made sure to give us our girls difficult drinks just as they asked. Had a fantastic time in the gallery. We had the best experience mainly because our bartender Kelly made sure to give us our girls difficult drinks just as they asked. And while serving a crowded bar, and was taking orders from other large groups... She seemed to give everyone the same attention to detail. A simple nod and thumbs up and she was preparing our next round.
Granted, the private party music made it a bit hard to communicate, she didn't miss a beat.
Thank you, for a professional crew. And a great experience. We look fwd to returning soon.
