The Ritz-Carlton Sarasota

Sarasota/Bradenton, Sarasota

Star rating

The hotel

The VIP vibe at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota comes from indulgences like its bay-side location, its palm-dappled pool, and its celeb-worthy dining venues. Overlooking Sarasota Bay, you can watch the water as you laze by the chic outdoor pool and whirlpool, and as you tuck into coastal cuisine, cocktails, and craft beers at Jack Dusty. Venture across the John Ringling Causeway to Lido Key, where you'll find the hotels beach club, in the form of a tiki bar, alongside seaside-styled Ridley’s Porch restaurant, right on the soft sands (you may even get to enjoy it from your private balcony, as some have marina views). The luminary luxuries continue back at the hotel with opulent spa treatments - in a newly renovated spa might we add - and access to the exclusive Ritz-Carlton Golf Club.

Been coming here for over 17 Years love it. Kids have always played in the pool. Now kids can no longer play ball on the pool. Make sure if you bring your kids you send them onto the beach to throw a ball. Unreal! May think twice about coming back again! If you want no kids playing in a pool go to an adult inclusive resort. Never in my life have I dealt with a hotel like this. Wicked slow service, stale chips, low security. Other Ritz’s are much nicer, don’t spend your time coming to this one. When my family and I were spending time at the pool a group of young kids ventured into the pool area- they were DEFINITELY not guests at the hotel by the way they were yelling and fooling around. The security at the Ritz has gone way downhill. Dinner at Jack Dusty’s was the slowest service I’ve ever encountered in my life- we shouldn’t have to wait 20 minutes just to get our water filled in 90 degree weather and humidity. For a five star luxury hotel, their service is at best a 2 star. If you’re looking for just a name brand hotel, stay here. If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation, run for the hills. Read less

I’ve stayed at many Ritz Carltons but the staff here exceeds the rest! Special shoutout this trip to Chase on the beach and David working the valet at the beach club. Both exemplify everything the Ritz stands for and made our vacation extra special! We’ll be back, again and again!! Read less

We had a lovely Spring Break experience with our family at the Ritz Carlton Sarasota. The room was clean and spacious, even with the use of a roller bed to accommodate 3 kids. We had Club Lounge access with our room and it was INCREDIBLE! Ben, the lead Concierge there was incredibly helpful and wonderful to talk to. All of the staff treated us like family, even getting down to learning each of our kid’s names and food preferences! ❤️ The boys enjoyed the gym, the kids spent plenty of time in the heated outdoor pool and we ABSOLUTELY LOVED the Beach Club!! Even though it’s about a 10min drive from the hotel, you get the 5 star, exclusive vibe the second you pull in with staff awaiting to valet your car and the attentive service at the pool with foods and drink and shade whenever you need it. I also have to compliment the amazing locker rooms at the Beach Club to change in or out of your suit including super clean bathrooms and showers. The whole vibe was super luxurious and provided a much needed haven to decompress from a busy winter/spring! We cannot wait to go back and thank the Ritz Carlton Sarasota for such lovely and memorable Spring Break! ❤️ Read less
