“Best Beach and Sunset!”

Had a beautiful time with me and my Mom. Easy trip bc JW Marriott has everything you need in one place, beach was incredible. No waves, super calm. Felt like a salty pool. They gave us an oceanfront upgrade without us asking, super super kind. Friendly staff and the accommodations are beautiful. Stood for the incredible sunset, truly amazing. Will definitely return. Nick was also incredible, gave us great advice on local places to grab a quick bite or enjoy the scenery. Always bubbly and friendly every time we came back from our explorations.

“Do not stay at this hotel”

⭐ 1 STAR — EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE AT JW MARRIOTT CLEARWATER BEACH If you are considering staying at the JW Marriott Clearwater Beach, I strongly recommend thinking twice. We arrived at 3:00 PM for our stay and were told that our two-bedroom suite was not ready. The front desk employee was extremely rude and told my husband that check-in was at 4:00 PM. We understood that early check-in is not guaranteed, so we decided to wait. However, 4:00 PM came and went. By 4:30 PM, we still had not received any call or notification that our room was ready. My husband went back to the front desk and asked to speak with a manager. The manager told him that the suite was still being cleaned and that they could not honor the 4:00 PM check-in time. When we finally got into the suite, we were shocked to find that there were still basic maintenance issues. One of the electrical outlets in one of the bedrooms did not work, and the bathroom door would not lock. We then tried to get help by calling the front desk multiple times — no one answered. We also called housekeeping — again, no one answered. This is simply unacceptable for a hotel of this level and price. A luxury hotel should provide professional service, responsive staff, properly maintained rooms, and basic communication with its guests. Instead, we experienced delays, rude customer service, maintenance problems, and an inability to reach anyone when we needed assistance. At that point, we decided that we did not want to spend our vacation dealing with these problems, so we left and returned to Orlando, where we have had much better hotel experiences. What makes this even more disappointing is that we specifically chose the JW Marriott expecting a high-end luxury experience. Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite. The price and reputation of this hotel create an expectation of excellent service. Unfortunately, JW Marriott Clearwater Beach did not come close to meeting that expectation during our stay. ⚠️ My advice: Save yourself the frustration and consider staying somewhere else. I hope Marriott management takes this complaint seriously because guests should not have to experience this level of service at a property carrying the JW Marriott name.

“Perfect for a quick family getaway”

My family of 4 spent 5 days at the JW Marriott Clearwater Beach and couldn't have had a better family vacation! We booked through AMEX and got some extra perks such as free breakfast buffet each morning which was a great benefit. Our 1bedroom suite was on the top floor, giving us a beautiful, relaxing view from each of the balconies (there were two). The suite was spacious with beautiful, comfortable furnishings, and the extra half-bath was very welcome, along with the kitchenette. We loved having access to both the pool and the beach, and the staff at both were very helpful in setting up chairs and bringing ordered refreshments. Everyone from the valets to the waitstaff to the housekeepers were so friendly and helpful. We can't wait to come back and enjoy more time here!
