“Perfection”

Our stay was amazing, just perfection. The view from our room is indescribable. The beach is beautiful. Our room was spacious and welcoming. The room and the property is immaculate, so clean. The staff was attentive accommodating, and became our friends and knew our names we even gave each other a group hug when we were leaving. We were sad to go. It was worth every penny I would do it again and again. Crystal and Marsha gave us amazing service at breakfast and made us feel so welcome. Ask for Shannon at the front, she is amazing. She will give you the best tips on activities and food. 🩷 Hernandez

“WARNING FOR DISABLED GUESTS”

In the last two weeks, I spoke to Maya Burdette, Rooms Operation Manager, about obtaining an accessible room for our stay in August. When I inquired about a certain amount of inches under the bed to accommodate our portable Hoyer lift, she said that all of the beds are on platforms and that we could not be accommodated. I said that I thought that went against ADA guidelines, to have zero beds in the entire hotel that would accommodate us. I even suggested doing what other hotels have gladly done for us -- changing out a bed to put it on a bed frame or using bed risers. She quickly changed her mind and said she thought maybe there was a suite that could work. I exchanged emails with Maya and asked for photos so that we may see how an accessible room can meet our needs. She has ignored my follow-up emails and phone call. I am unable to make a booking because of her failure to get back with me. Today, I called and asked for the General Manager, and was told I would receive a call back. I haven't. In 2024, Marriott settled a lawsuit agreeing to better accommodate guests with disabilities. My experience is showing that Marriott is not complying with this settlement. We are long-time Marriot Bonvoy members, and have never experienced this before - a complete failure to accommodate disabled guests.

“Poor Family Resort”

I have been to beach resorts all over the world, I have never paid $38 for a beach chair. Especially a poor quality broken beach chair. This is not a good family resort as only 2 chairs are included in the resort fee, even the first night when we arrived and the beach was mostly empty at 4:00 we had to pay $38 (30$ for the chair, $6 for a service fee, $2 tax). For a chair for our teen. By the end of our 4 days here we have surely paid for a chair for the year. On top of it service on the beach is slow so you don’t get anything extra for your money. I expected more from a JW than to be milked for whatever fee I am willing to pay.
