We stayed at this hotel twice — November 3–9, 2025 and again January 11–16, 2026. Unfortunately, our second visit was much worse than the first one. We were offered a “free continental breakfast,” but it was mostly pastries, which my fiancé and I don’t eat at all. Since the buffet was closed, we were forced to order food from the menu at almost double the price for what used to be available at the buffet for much less. This was very disappointing, especially since my fiancé is a Marriott Platinum member. What truly saved our second trip was Jason from the water sports team. He was friendly, professional, and genuinely made our vacation better. However, it was frustrating that on a sunny, calm day the hotel closed the water sports area and told Jason not to work due to “bad weather,” even though conditions were perfect and we were really looking forward to paddle boarding. The following days were expected to be rainy and cold, but then they suddenly reopened water sports the next day when it was windy and the ocean was rough. We ended up paddle boarding in uncomfortable conditions because we didn’t know if we would have another chance to see Jason again. Overall, the hotel feels overpriced for the level of service. The beach is beautiful, and they did eventually find the missing boxes, but the entire situation caused unnecessary stress. We will most likely not return.
