“A great place to get away !”

We loved our stay at the JW Marriott. The staff was so friendly and gave us great advice on where to eat and play. They gave an open air buggy and offered to drive us around Clearwater Beach to local attractions and restaurants. The beach area in the hotel property is BEAUTIFUL!! White sand, comfortable chairs, umbrellas ! And you can rent jet skis. It’s a perfect mini beach vacation. Several good restaurants within a short walk. We loved our stay.

I'm a local who just decided to head over to Clearwater Beach last minute for a Friday night stay with my husband. We used our Bonvoy points and when I was trying to book, I wanted to upgrade to get a gulf view, but didn't grab it quick enough so we booked the room without the view and I was still hoping to upgrade when we got to the property. However, they were full for the night, so I was unable to. I probably would've enjoyed my stay better with the upgraded room, but I did still have a balcony and could see water across the parking lot. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub that evening and overall everything else was nice. Got carry out at Hogg Daddy's Beach Bar and Grill. Not bad, and it was close by. I think this hotel is expensive though, whether you are paying for it or using points. I don't believe it's the nicest on the beach either with the Wyndham Grand and Opal Properties all just as nice and sometimes at cheaper price points.
