Spacious Gulf Front Rooms (previously named Premium Gulf Front) are 360 sq ft with large balconies that boast views of the Gulf, with either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, plus sofa-bed, sleeping maximum 4 people.

Clearwater's 'Jolley Trolley' goes around all of the hotels in Clearwater, show your hotel room key and ride for free. Valet parking $40 plus tax per day (payable locally, subject to change).

Please note: There is currently a new hotel being built across the street from Opal Sands. The project is anticipated to be finished towards the end of 2024, and work will take place between the hours of 7.00am-4.00pm Monday to Friday. There may be some minor disruption, but no significant noise should be heard. All of the Premium King and Queen rooms face the Gulf of Mexico and do not look over the construction site.

Please note: An additional rollaway bed is charged at $25 per night plus tax, payable locally.

“Great location and service”

Our family had a great time at Opal Sands. The resort’s beachfront location was perfect — just steps down the stairs and we were on the sand. Breakfast at Sea-Guini was outstanding. The breakfast buffet included freshly-made omelets, fluffy pancakes, golden waffles, and fruit smoothies. Special thanks to Stanley for his warm and attentive service at breakfast — he truly made us feel welcome. When it was time to leave, the valet team, Joel and Marco, went above and beyond to help us with genuine kindness. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and professional, making our entire stay unforgettable. The great food, unbeatable location, and exceptional service made this a true 5-star experience. We can’t wait to return!

“Deceptive practice”

Upon checking in the front desk advised they had a special $100 Spa credit offering which we agreed to. When asked for our credit card to charge us additional $332.55, I asked what it was for..they advised auto valet, taxes, resort fee and $100.00 refundable incidental charge(i.e. security fee). Upon checking out hotel accounting dept(J.V.) advised it was non refundable as it was a part of the Spa charge. Our invoice had already credited the Spa...Be careful what the Front desk is telling you...it is a deceptive practice.
