St Pete Beach, Tampa and Clearwater/St Pete

Star rating

The hotel

A true home from home, the Sunset Vistas Beachfront Suites is a great beachside base on Florida's sun-soaked Gulf Coast. These spacious two-bedroom suites feel more like your own coastal condo, complete with a full kitchen, separate living area, and a private balcony where sweeping ocean views and salty sea breezes are your daily backdrop. Step outside and you’re only moments from the soft white sands of St Pete Beach, where you can dip your toes in the turquoise water or simply wander barefoot along the shoreline. Cool off in the beachfront pool, then head to the laid-back tiki bar for a sunset cocktail - it’s kind of a ritual around here. When you’re ready to explore, the artful energy of St Petersburg is just 20 minutes away, with its buzzing waterfront, galleries, and restaurants. But if you’re more into slow mornings and sandy strolls, you’ll find everything you need right here.

First, I would like to say this establishment Is great from check in to the room everything is good. The only complaint I have is that the pool was too warm as the ocean was too. There were not enough umbrellas in the pool area. But beside that I will be back and definitely recommend this place. The bar onsite and the restaurant is great I would… Read more

The bar onsite and the restaurant is great I would like to see the restaurant to stay open later than 5pm. Also let customer know that the restaurant delivers foods to the room. Read less

I really enjoyed the room- having 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen was amazing, and the beach was very close. The a/c was also VERY good. I'm always hot and had no problem cooling down. I had a Gulf-facing room so I could see my teenagers on the beach while I was working. There was a washer and dryer, which was a nice surprise and allowed me to get all our laundry cleaned on the morning of our last day- such a time saver for someone who is obsessed with emptying suitcases and doing laundry as soon as they get home. The room was great, however, it was on the 2nd floor, right above the bar. This made for some very loud times while we were trying to relax in the room. If I had small children, hearing the cursing and drunk behavior would have been a deal breaker, but as I said, my kids are teens. I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, after all, these people were just having fun at the beach, but if I had small kiddos with me- next time, I would ask for a room far from the bar and on a higher floor. I also hated my parking space- it was against the wall of the bar, with a support wall to the other side. A gigantic Yukon Dinali was across from us, and it made it so I had to do a 3-5 point turn to get in and out of my space. Lastly, I knew when booking the room that I would have to work, but the hotel stated that they had wifi. The wifi did not connect to my PC from the room. It required a 5-minute walk to the front office with my computer open EVERY TIME I wanted to connect. Not. Ideal. Overall, I was very happy and would book again. Honestly, if they had taken off even a small amount from the bill for the inconvenience of the wifi, I would have been completely satisfied and probably wouldn't have even thought to include the issue in this survey. Instead, I was told, "Well, no one else is having that problem." Doesn't mean that I wasn't! Read less

Luck of the draw: we booked five rooms and didn’t know what we would get until we walked in. Our room , 213N, was updated, beautifully decorated and clean except we had to ask for a broom to sweep sand up. Kitchen pans were horrible, could only cook with one sauce pan. Had only three bowls and five dishes. Other rooms were all gulf front and were all different. One room hadn’t been updated since probably 2000. Others had new cabinets, original granite countertops and tubs/sinks but old furniture- really bad. Their pots and pans were unusable too. Bring your own nonstick or order from Amazon. No cleaning service until we were there five days. The restaurant adds a tip automatically and sometimes doesn’t tell you. They close at 5pm! Bright note: Autumn at the front desk is helpful, knowledgeable and terrific! Ask for her for any questions. No true security for parking. You have an assigned spot but people park in it to go to bar. No one enforces it. Read less

We recently stayed at this resort and were disappointed in the condition of the room. The tub had peeling paint, the tile shower was in need of regrouting and the air conditioner filter was filthy. We had stayed here before over the years and noticed over the last two years the room conditions have declined. It’s a great location, but the the… Read more
