“Friendly staff, great location, clean rooms”

We booked this hotel through Go Port bc we are cruising and arrived a day early. The location is great as it is walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. When we arrived at the hotel we were informed there was happy hour at the hotel bar and the entire staff was so friendly. The pool, tennis court, hotel bar and firepit added charm to the hotel. Amy and Krystel were extremely helpful, prompt and friendly in answering my text questions about the hotel and our room was very clean and exceeded expectations too.

Great stay at the Holliday Inn near the airport! Everything was super clean, I was impressed. The lobby was spacious and clean. They have a nice little bar and restaurant. The food was great and so were the drinks. Nice little coffee stop in the morning as well. Front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. The room itself was fresh, clean and well organized. Beds were comfortable! Bathroom was clean and they had nice Dove soaps! Honestly I found no major issues, it was a cozy stay over! Small gym and pool on property, although the pool was closed during my visit. Lots of walkable/short drive restaurants close by if you don’t want to eat at the hotel. They offer an airport shuttle as well. Overall very convenient!

“A grotty hotel with sullen staff”

We stayed here as the airline put us in here after cancelling our flight - these things happen - but we had been in an equivalent hotel elsewhere for the rest of our trip and are pretty easy going as guests so please don’t dismiss this review as from someone unreasonable. This is a really really grotty hotel with poor customer service and inadequate facilities. Air conditioning in lobby not adequate, mobile fans all over the place. The room was damp, smelt of it and could feel it. The bathroom wasn’t properly clean and generally the upkeep of the room - paint peeling, marks on walls etc - was well below what you would expect for a hotel of this standard. They couldn’t provide food at lunchtime because they were short staffed. The pool was dirty, and most of the sunbeds were broken. The staff were in the main unhelpful and sullen, it was an exception to get a member of staff who smiled! The room and food was covered by airline but we asked for a later check-out and were happy to pay extra to hold the room before our late flight. However, I’ve now had two separate charges to my credit card, and despite numerous emails requesting the invoice and confirmation of why I have been charged twice, I have had zero response or acknowledgement. I don’t think it was by accident that they have done this and are now ignoring me. However cheap a deal you think you are getting, still, don’t do it.
