I honestly wish the hotel looked like the photos online – but those were clearly taken about 20 years ago. Walking in, it gave me total “The Shining” vibes, like an 80s horror movie. I honestly wish the hotel looked like the photos online – but those were clearly taken about 20 years ago. Walking in, it gave me total “The Shining” vibes, like an 80s horror movie. Nothing has been updated since it first opened. The rooms were really basic and had a weird smell I can’t even explain. It wasn’t pleasant. I tried to figure out where it was coming from and found a damp, dirty towel (with brown stains!) inside the fridge. The bathroom also smelled like someone had been smoking in there. Later in the stay, water even started coming back up through the bath plug hole – not great. The restaurant and bar? Closed. If you want food, there’s a tiny shop near reception that sells noodles and pizzas, but that’s about it. There is a pool though – small, but clean enough and kept the kids happy for hours. Location-wise, it’s close to Universal, which is a plus. Only about $10 to get there, and they do have a free bus service. I’d recommend an Uber back though – the buses get packed at the end of the day. The area around the hotel… not great. Lots of places are boarded up, and some look like they should be. Businesses with broken windows and overgrown weeds, yet somehow still open. It feels like this whole part of International Drive has been forgotten about, especially since Universal are building fancy new hotels nearby. We were even approached by people asking for money or offering things we really didn’t want – not ideal when travelling as a family. The iTrolley is handy and cheap if you want to get to a better part of the strip, but honestly, I wouldn’t stay here again. It feels like the owners are just milking it until it shuts down. Spend an extra £15 a night and go somewhere clean, comfy, and modern. Totally worth it. Read less

Fab hotel, has everything you need. Always stay in Rosen inn’s whenever we go to Florida. Shop is handy onsite as is the restaurant should you wish to grab something quick after a long day.

This is the WORST hotel ever!! Outdated and run down. I was in Bldg 400…the toilet had a small toddler seat on top with a huge gap in the front! The visitors that hang around look questionable. Honestly, I was afraid to sleep in my room. They charge $10 per night… per car!

We could not continue to stay here and checked out early. The hotel will hold bags as a first come first serve which allowed us to enjoy the parks before check in. Evening check in with the manager was pleasant. He was filling in as staff had called in. Bathroom is very small. Literally just the toilet and shower tub. Morning staff member was not friendly. Asked for her name as my travel rewards company asked for it for a refund. The hotel did credit my stay due to an early check out. Read less

After staying previously at the Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista Location and the Rosen Inn international drive location which were both very good choices, i decided to try this location on International drive, closet to Universal Studios to see if i would get the same good service, room & decent rates. Well, the verdict is officially in......YES, This Rosen Inn was perfect for my needs, great rate, great room, great pool area, friendly staff and another great location. YES, The rooms are a dated, but maintained better than some newer resorts i have stayed at. It is 100% obvious, the Rosen Hotel Chain knows what they are doing in the hospitality industry. This location is within walking distance to many, many restaurants, shops, etc. They also provide Free Parking and NO bogus resort fees. This hotel is a terrific value.
