I’ve stayed at this hotel on and off for many years via Virgin Holidays and always had a great experience—until now. This visit was a complete letdown. Our room smelled strongly of wet dog, likely from the carpet, and despite reporting it twice, no action was taken. When I requested a room across from my family member, the manager (Victor) was reluctant and tried to talk me out of it. That room turned out to be recently refurbished and far better—he claimed it wasn’t, which felt disingenuous. The second room we booked was left unlocked for hours with no explanation. On departure, we were charged for VIP parking we never used and told to resolve it ourselves. After already wasting hours dealing with room issues, I refused and the receptionist cancelled it down, but advised she was not supposed to do so. Its your error sort it out, I am not going from one department to another to resolve your mistakes, that is down to you, not me. Your mistake, sort it out. It's not too much to ask. The passing of Mr. Rosen, who used to personally engage with guests, may explain the noticeable drop in standards. It’s unfortunate, as I had planned to return next year—but I’ll be booking elsewhere. Florida has plenty of better-managed options. To me, the managers are covering up a whole mess in this hotel and come across as totally uninterested and lacking in experience and professionalism. Hopefully, Mr Santos will see this and request an internal review on procedures ? Read less

This hotel is absolutely fabulous! I was here for a conference May 6-10. Everything about this hotel is wonderful. The gentleman who checked me in asked if I wanted an upgrade from the typical hotel room. He put me into the Grand Suite. What a room; it had a small kitchenette, living area with a sofa and two chairs and a huge dinner table with 6 chairs. The room and bathroom were very clean. Thank you to him :) Staff- the staff is first class. I have never stayed at hotel where the employees are appreciative of their guests; this one loves their guests. I kept a do not disturb sign on my door the entire stay (I do every time I travel for various reasons) and a security guard came by to make sure I was okay. Restaurants- I live in the Cleveland, Ohio area and have nothing like these restaurants back home. I went to four of the restaurants on site and all were wonderful. Not a bad meal or drinks. The most impressive part of this hotel is they have a vegetable and herb garden on property to use in their restaurants. How much fresher can one get! Meeting facilities- very nice. Once again, the meeting staff and food were superb. In fact, my boss, coworker and I sat outside to eat and one of the meeting people came outside with glasses of ice water for us. I have never seen that happen before. In summary, I highly recommend this hotel when visiting Orlando. They pride themselves on taking care of their guests and making sure their stay is enjoyable. That’s hospitality!! Read less

The only reason it isn’t a 10 is the rooms are average and dated. They need to be redone with a lighter Florida vibe, they are dark with heavy furniture. There isn’t much around within walking distance but it is quiet and private. Would surely stay there again! Read less

Horribly overpriced hotel. For $259 per night plus tax and fee, there is no breakfast, no complimentary bottled water, a cheap set of miniature toiletries that would not last for a single shower, not even a shower cap and no complimentary slippers. Feels like a cheap 2 star hotel. There is nothing around so you are captive. No shuttle to airport.… Read more
