My family and I have been vacationing yearly at Sheraton Vista Villages for 25 years. We recently stayed in the Keys location for one week following our one week cruise August 2025.
Con: This was the first year we’ve been asked to take out our trash and strip the beds of linens and run the dishwasher. This is also the first time we’ve had to pay $25 per night to park our vehicle. Every year that we’ve checked in, we’ve always been asked if we had a preference as to a location for our two bedroom room suite. This is the first year we’ve had such a negative customer service experience. For some reason, the associate behind the counter was insistent upon putting us where he wanted to put us rather than where we would like to be. After a lengthy back-and-forth, I eventually asked the situation to be escalated to management. Although I cannot remember his name, the manager was extremely pleasant and apologetic, and did accommodate our request. During our one week stay this was the one staff employee that we found to be very difficult and unfortunately, it was upon check in so that did not start our vacation off on a happy note.
Pro: the pools were very clean as were the grounds, hot tubs were very warm, which is just the way we like it. On site gym was great. Food and the restaurant was fabulous although expensive. Housekeeping was wonderful. The Keys location was quiet and peaceful, and when we wanted to have a little more involvement with activities we would take our teenagers down to the main pool.
Over our years of vacationing with our children, we have stayed at many resorts and we always find our way back to the Sheraton Vista Villages. It’s a staple with our family vacations. Like I said, in 25 years this was the first staff member who we nearly got into an argument with. I wish I could remember his name, I hate to leave a bad review but this person would should not be working the front counter. He was not pleasant nor accommodating, and for some odd reason, really wanted to dig his heels in with us. Again, an experience, we have never in 25 years encountered.
Overall, this resort is amazing and we will be back again next summer post cruise next summer.
