The hotel

There are far too many facilities at this marvellous 1,500-acre resort to detail here. The swimming pool is the kind that has kids gasping with wonder - waterfalls, grottos, whirlpools and a 124-ft long water slide tower, as well as a new water jet splash zone and rock climbing areas for kids, creates an aqueous wonderland. On the lake, you can practice kayaking, canoeing, or just simply pedal away toward the sunset. There is even a white sand beach for those waiting to sit back and relax, and 45 holes of top golf, with a pitch 'n' putt for non-golfers to enjoy. There are some great restaurants and bars; the pool bar, On the Rock, is located by Lake Windsong, offering views of the lake and the pool, four 60" TVs, a full service bar and food service options. Leave everything behind to enjoy the happiest of hours under palm tree canopies and moon-drenched evening skies at Four Flamingos, a Richard Blais Florida Kitchen that provides an immersive dining and drinking experience reminiscent of a dreamy, tropical oasis. Be one of the first to enjoy their newest recreational features: New Water slide, Water Jet Splash zone, rock climbing for kids and the pool bar!

We are currently at the hotel, been here since 22nd August, it’s now the 30th and Labor day weekend. Been great so far, fairly quiet as you’d expect, breakfast really nice, hotel staff pleasant, and attentive, even put the football on for us in the lobby! We decided to try a pool day (today 30th) and unfortunately there are tonnes of people who look like they’re not even staying at the hotel using the pool, no wrist bands no pool towels, but reserving loungers all over the place, drinking in the pool, and not using the toilets very much… gross!! We had to find shade early on as all the loungers were taken, so took shade in the pool bar area, we didn’t need a drink as we’d just had breakfast, we were asked to move on by the server, you can guess our response!! We were at the pool for around 3 hours after finally finding some free loungers. Once we’d had enough, I’ve just ask in reception if they know who actually uses their pool, they said the security and pool staff ask if people are part of the hotel, not once did we see that, and said all the people at the pool were part of the hotel… no way is that the case!! We have been to Florida for the past 10 years and if your coming from the UK out of the US school holidays when you think it’s quiet, I’d suggest avoid this hotel around long US weekends as it’s overrun and not controlled… A bit disappointed! 😞 Read less

Pool was awesome but a little too deep for our toddlers. My grandson loved the large slide. Would have liked splash pad to be more integrated into the pool area instead of being walled off from all other pool areas.

We have stayed at this hotel in two different stays in a two week period as we toured Central Florida. The hotel rooms are okay when they work properly. The first room started with a leaking AC that was dripping near the closet when we woke up. The USB charging station did not work, the toilet handle seemed broken, but we made it work. Probably the biggest thing to be aware of with the Double Queen rooms: there is no way to lock the bathroom door and there is no separate door for the toilet space between the bathroom sink and tub shower area. So if you want any privacy to use the toilet while someone else is using the shower or sink, you will not get it. The hotel phone essentially don't function. If you try to call any of the hotel services, you get a busy signal. They want you to use the texting number, which is fine when they are responsive, but that's also spotty. Sometimes you get a decent response time. Other times you have to keep prodding and then 30-40 minutes later you get a response. Or at least one time, they just never replied. I have the receipts on this... THES SECOND ROOM WE ARE STAYING IN HAS BLACK MOLD ABOVE THE DOOR IN THE BATHROOM. Clearly has been there for a while. Which is telling of the overall age/experience of the hotel. I would bring it to the attention of the hotel, but honestly, I just want to finish this stay without further interruption. If I do tell them I'm sure they'll just send someone by and wipe it up with some Clorox wipes. If I thought they would put us in a better room, l'd consider it, but even with the leaking AC dripping water out of the ceiling, they didn't want us to move rooms. I'm not sure another room would be any better either. The idea that I found the one unicorn room with black mold is unlikely, I'm sure there are others. UPDATE: A previous version of this review gave praise to an employee. This updated version removes that due to the fact that I am now in a billing dispute with Hyatt over charges said employee told us were complimentary. Now I’m continuing to waste time dealing with this hotel. This place is a mixed bag of problems. BE WARNED! Read less

Stayed a couple of nights on business, for an event happening at the hotel. Overall, a nice experience. It's a large resort hotel, but as those go, I was impressed. The resort grounds are sprawling and well-maintained. I enjoyed the artwork and landscaping, into which great effort had been put. Service was welcoming from all team members, including banquet staff. I appreciated the market; there was a nice variety of food, and the prices were not astronomical, as is sometimes true at resort hotels. The room was just fine. It had a nice decor, a nice view of the pool (and the Disney fireworks) and, considering the size of the hotel, minimal noise. Water pressure was good, wifi was fast, and everything was clean. I self-parked. The self parking is not very close to the lobby, so expect a walk, and it gets crowded during events. The meeting rooms were in good condition, and the food provided for the meetings I attended was, as hotel banquet food goes, well-presented and tasty. Overall, a good experience. Would not hesitate to return. Read less

It was incredible and there is a bench about 3/4 to a mile in where you can watch the sunrise over the lake. It was beautiful. We loved it. Read less
