I’ve stayed at this hotel several times before and have always been thrilled. While there were still some highlights, this trip fell short in a number of areas – and for the premium rates charged, these issues really shouldn’t happen. The Disappointments Construction During Peak Season – I understand refurbishments are necessary, but carrying out noisy foyer tile replacement in the height of summer was disruptive. The main restaurant was also closed, which felt poorly timed. Poor Guest Flow – Huge queues at check-in meant that by the time we reached the concierge desk, it had closed (8pm). Arriving at 7:30pm, meant we couldn’t buy park tickets and missed an evening in the parks. Tired Facilities – The hotel is showing wear: chipped paint along corridors, scuffs in lifts, communal toilets needing attention, and overflowing corridor bins that stayed full for two days. The pool loungers were uncomfortable and lacked cushions. Basic Amenities Missing – There’s no café or spot to get a simple cup of coffee within the hotel; the only option was takeaway from the tuk tuk market. Unacceptable for a supposedly top-tier property. Noise at the Pool – Our planned relaxing afternoon was cut short when a DJ arrived and blasted deafening music from 1–4pm. We had to leave. The Highlight The Orchid Court Lounge remains a gem. Special thanks to Giancarlo, whose impeccable service stood out – remembering guests’ preferred drinks after a single visit and crafting exceptional cocktails. His warmth and attention to detail delivered a true 5-star experience. Overall We still enjoyed parts of our stay, but the service gaps, maintenance issues, and poorly timed construction mean we won’t be returning. Read less

Would not recommend this hotel at all. Very dirty and cleanliness below standard. Renovation going on all around the hotel and was not told about it. Despite booking months ago. Had a 2 night complimentary stay due to so many issues last year but definitely no improvement from then to now, in fact worse. Will not be returning at all and would advise anyone to avoid this hotel. Restaurant closed due to renovations and again not told. Asked months ago our room not to be near club level lounge and had confirmation that a room was blocked off for us at the end of the corridor with no passing people. Was put in a room opposite the club lounge would you believe. Asked to be moved but nothing available even though a confirmation said we had a room so has to insist and then suddenly there was a room at the end of a corridor but was occupied. Was given the opposite room which 3rd time lucky suitable. So obviously reception have no clue if guests are in what room. As for Jack’s bar the food is terrible. Soggy burgers, cold fries and wrong order. The service was bad as we were constantly asking for things like water, mayo etc and having to wait. Then asking again. Sent the food back twice as well as guests on the next table also doing the same. Would not recommend at all. As for the Club level this isn’t worth it. Had to clean the table myself on two occasions in the morning as the staff just stood there chatting. Things not replenished as again staff just sat at the desk doing nothing. Asking for things each time so not really good or value for money as anyone can access club level via the elevator. As before you could only access with your keycard. Housekeeping not consistent with replacing tea, coffee and toiletries. Had to go to reception numerous times. At this point we have had enough. You are paying all that money and nothing is up to standard anymore like it use to be. So would not stay there again after returning guests for 10 years plus as loyalty means nothing. So looking elsewhere and suggest other people do to. Read less

Sam out waiter for breakfast was excellent although all members of staff were helpful and welcoming. Our room was on the ground floor which we wouldn’t usually be a fan of but it was like being in a tropical paradise with the view of the greenery outside. The beds were snuggly and comfortable, perfect if you’ve had a long flight. The entire hotel and grounds were immaculate. Plenty of sun beds, great staff taking orders around the pool from the bar. It’s was a great visit and we’d definitely return. Read less

A really disappointing stay the hotel is having construction work done this involved cutting floor tiles with a grinder (noise) a main door way to the tower/rooms blocked with workers, tools and "wet paint" signs up on all walls down the corridor the floor had been pulled up (to replace with new tiles) the doorway was uneven and covered over with a doormat got suitcase wheels stuck in this I understood work needs to be completed, but in a main doorway and laying floor tiles at peak holiday season is just not acceptable especially due to the pricing of the hotel per night the hotel itself has potential to be a really beautiful luxury place but is really let down by things that should be actioned some lovely features and a short walk to the theme parks and city walk some staff are not pleasant carpets and lifts are old and tired technology not as up to date as should be for bracket hotel sits in I am happy to "sort things for myself but the updates are not available" App not that advanced TV poor selection; attempt to put a welcome on the screen which is a good touch but repeated surname twice then forename water taxi good and boats look good well kept however long un-managed queues could just walk its quicker the main dining room is closed for refurbishment this closed last Aug 24 whilst we were staying there still no signs of re-opening making 1 restaurant crammed ticket counter staff rude just can't add anymore to that... speechless reception were slow and check in a long process room was available early which was a positive express pass included which I think is the one selling factor saving many more complaints to re-cap a hotel which should do better for the money charged per night and bracket it sits within a lot of the critics in this review would be overlooked if the hotel was not as expensive per night again this seems to fall on the fast pass however it would depend whether a cheaper well run accommodation and purchase of a fast pass would work better for you or frustrating niggles that could be overlooked? Other Lowes hotels are far superior to this one and cost less Read less

We spent 4 nights here as part of our 2 week holiday in Orlando. On check in we found that our room was ready and we were upgraded to a pool view room. The room was really nice with lots of space and a great shower too. We used the free buses to Epic and Volcano Bay and the water taxes to Universal and Islands of Adventure, however they do not run when storms in the area and took the walking path one night which was around 10minutes. All staff were lovely and the pool was great, open until 11pm with a movie showing around 8.30. We mainly ate from the Tuk Tuk market which had a good range of food and drink. Thanks to all the staff who made our visit memorable Read less
