The hotel

We all know and love those Disney classics - The Lion King, Finding Nemo, Cars, The Little Mermaid - and Disney's Art of Animation is where you'll find inspiration from each of them. From themed swimming pools to family suites with themed decor, here you can become part of dome of your animated favourites. And it's the perfect balance if you're wanting a fun resort that's a little quieter - as it's pretty spacious, allowing for a few calmer areas. Be sure to check out The Big Blue Pool (the largest one in Walt Disney World Resort), complete with water jets and a play area for little ones. And one of our favourite perks of staying here is the Disney Skyliner Transporatation so you can enjoy a birds-eye view as you're whisked right to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios.

The table/bed was surprisingly very comfortable. It made getting up and getting ready so much easier with two bathrooms and having two TV's was an extra plus. We stay here for the option of having a microwave and fridge for my son who has Autism and is a picky eater. But we will definitely stay here again. Such a magical experience! Loved being so close to the parks, my husband went back and forth throughout our visit. We only took the Skyliner once but it was not busy and we were able to get back to the hotel pretty quickly from Hollywood Studios. Read less

My family and I are serial Disney visitors, having stayed in Caribbean Beach, Beach Club, and Dolphin. We were unfortunate enough to pick Art of Animation after hearing good things but regretted it almost immediately. Rooms are small, dark, and lack any real storage space— three tiny square drawers for a family of four, a few hangers, and no bedside tables or charging sockets other than the main unit in the middle, again one tiny drawer. The bathroom and shower are small, cramped, and dark with no towel rails, one small sink with very little room on either side. The air conditioning in the room was broken and had to be fixed; the people servicing the room were lazy, leaving multiple damp towels and didn’t replace any of the coffee, milk, or cups in the room. Reception was called to fix the above, but guess what, after returning to the room after a hard day at the park, nothing had been replaced…..yet another call to reception. A real disappointment and WAY BELOW what you expect from Disney. Do yourself a favour and try somewhere else. Read less

We stayed here for 6 nights recently. Theming throughout the hotel is AMAZING! Hotel didn’t seem that busy considering it was peak season. You could always get a table to eat or space at the pool. Restaurant food was good, but choice could have been greater. Also very loud!! Rooms were very clean and had everything you could need. Beds weren’t huge for 2 adults and 3 teenagers though!! Quite a squeeze in the room with suitcases as well. Everything worked seamlessly and great service. Would recommend. Read less

Cars hotel was filthy dirty! The pull out beds were nasty. Totally disgusting. Disney should really be ashamed and do some upgrading. Location is the best thing about this hotel
