Disney's Beach Club Resort

Walt Disney World, Orlando

Star rating

The hotel

Situated on a sparkling 25-acre lake near Disney’s Hollywood Studios and just a leisurely stroll from EPCOT, discover the casual elegance of this charming, New England-style Resort hotel. Disney's Beach Club Resort shares a host of amenities with it's more formal sister, Disney's Yacht Club Resort. Most noticeable of these is the mini water park Stormalong Bay, featuring a sand bottom pool, water slides, a lazy river and whirlpools - keeping the little ones happy when you're not at the parks, and giving you time to chill in the sun too. Why not reserve a poolside cabana for extra comfort, or head to Hurricane Hanna's for a frosty beverage! There's loads of other dining options for the family to enjoy too, with a highlight being the character breakfast at Cape May Cafe. At this hotel you're located right next to the marina where, in addition to renting boats to sail around Crescent Lake, you can board a ferryboat for direct transportation to EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s BoardWalk. It's worth looking at the options to upgrade to a club level room for access to the lounge with refreshments available throughout the day.

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Decent, not great

Overall it was a decent hotel with a nice pool, but my room had a balcony with a view of the roof. It would have made more sense to just put a wall there than a balcony with an ugly view. I ordered a grinder sandwich at the gift/food shop for $14 and it was terrible. The bread was bad and the scant filling was not good. The Cape May Cafe was… Read more

Our room was robbed of cash in my wallet and that of an 8 year old. In total they took about $300 cash and clearly went through our bags and drawers. Though the value of the robbery was small, it is extremely disappointing. Though the value of the robbery was small, it is extremely disappointing. The part that makes me especially sad is that a Disney employee went though what is clearly a child’s backpack into a child’s wallet to steal $60 of allowance money - simply heartless! We stayed on the club level, would not stay here again and do not recommend this hotel. Read less

Early access and not so much extended hours were good love you can walk, mono, boat to parks others a cab or bus.. for me only could this on dining place as so expensive to eat. Yachtsman amazing but expensive beaches and cream too much food but fun. Only downside was not enough refillable drink places and getting a bed round pool no chance but would love to go back in a few years. Read less

Needs free fast pass back. So it was hot and busy, but it's July and school hols so that was expected. I know it's down to Disney greed but if you are paying to stay on Disney (14 thousand pounds for the 4 of us) you really should't need to pay another bunch of cash to go on the rides. I calculated that to use the now pay for fast pass would have added another thousand pounds to the holiday. So, still Disney, still some great restaurants, but queue or get saving even more ! Went on morning walks daily right before sunrise before heading out to the parks. The relaxed ambiance of this hotel is wonderful and I appreciate the staff for all they do to provide this experience for guests. It goes without saying that the pool here is one of the best at Disney. Food choices at the resort are plenty since Yacht Club is attached. If you’re on the fence about choosing Beach Club, I think you’ll be glad you chose this resort. Read less
