Hi, My honest review of the hotel is that I always wanted to stay here to see the grand reception/entrance and we booked a year in advance and the grand lobby was under construction which was an eyesore when we went and it was such a bummer… but can’t be helped as Edna Mode says “I don’t look back darling, it distracts from the now” things have to progress and be updated. We stayed in DVC and tbh, the light fixtures are not that cute (tacky) and the carpet was ugly, it gave modern vintage, more than vintage back in the day, and the ornaments are giving TJ Max vibes in the entrance area to the building. The bathrooms could be grander, a role top bath would be nicer, but they are clean, minimal limescale, well stocked with towels and you get the highest standard of cleanliness and the bed is the comfiest ever. I do like the updated rooms better, but when comparing with the most luxurious hotel in france, the chandeliers in disneyland hotel in paris and rooms are nicer and it doesn’t even have the word “Grand” in it, however i’m unsure if it’s fair to compare these hotels together, so sorry but my brain did. But I do still love the hotel and the theming is still kept throughout. The one thing I hated was that they store the wastebins and towel bins outside the room and sometimes the corridors of the building between the rooms smell, because of this, maybe they should install automatic febreze or something like they do in carehomes to block out the smell of this, but the convenience of them was handy because you can just dispose of your unused towels. We also got housekeeping and we didn’t know you werent entitled to this as we were new to DVC, so very thankful for this! Maybe they do at Grand Floridian no matter what, but we learned in other DVC hotels that you don’t get this. Still had a pleasant stay, so thankyou, staff are lovely and the restaurant and amenities were lovely. Bathbomb store is cool and the stores inside the hotel were also very presentable and had nice things to purchase (All 3) The monorail was kinda annoying as its only convenienct for Magic Kingdom and we actually found that it felt further out than other hotels we stayed in. (You have to change over for Hollywood or EPCOT at another station and its time consuming in my opinion) we thought it would be in a prime location and the monorail would make things more convenient but I don’t feel this way now. I’ve experience a few hotels and Idk if i’d stay here again, but it was Good. Read less

Just spent 4 days at the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian. I have been a Disney vacation club member for 24 years and always wanted to stay at this resort. This extremely upscale resort is quite luxurious. The rooms are over the top. The resort is clean and well-maintained. The staff is wonderful. It has several upscale restaurants and a few quick-serve places. Every night you can watch the fantastic fireworks from the Magic Kingdom in a designated viewing spot on the property. There are three pools. One is for kids under 12. One has music, games, a water slide, a quick-serve grill and 3 lifeguards on duty. We rented one of the 4 cabanas for a day. It was awesome. The other pool is bigger and quieter. One end is a shallow wading pool. There is a hot tub as well. Also has a quick-serve place. This resort's proximity to the Magic Kingdom is great. The Floridian is a stop on the monorail. Simply walk out a door from the second level, through security and onto the monorail to go to the MK, the Polynesian, the Contemporary or the Transportation Center where you can switch to another monorail to go to Epcot. There are buses to go to the parks as well and a boat launch from the Floridian to the MK. If there is a con, it would be that I was surprised to find a resort as big as the Floridian only has the 3 pools. This resort is absolutely gorgeous. Read less

when you stay at the Opal Grand Oceanfront Resort, Delray, FL - be sure to make contact with Hannah Moran for your pool experiences. This great young lady is always smiling, pleasant, and anxious to make your stay pleasant. She adds much to the experience of vacationing at this beautiful hotel right on the Atlantic Ocean beachfront.

We stayed in building eight, which was very convenient. We had a pool and a resort view plus it was a short distance from the lobby. From there, you can take the monorail, of course, but also buses to other parks. I highly recommend this hotel and any Disney resort on property in Orlando. Read less

*cue angelic choir music* “Ahhhhhhhhhhh” This place is the Mecca, the pinnacle, the high bar, or as my teen and pre-teen would call it, “The Shiz”. The Villas at Grand Floridian is officially the resort I will stalk reservations to try and get from now on because EVERYTHING about this place (ambiance, room, decor, service, location, in room bathrobes) is the Disney dream. We just finished a split stay between here, the Beach Club, the Boardwalk and Kidani Village and our group was unanimous in choosing this as our first pick. No, the pool doesn’t beat Beach Club’s, but our two bedroom villa and the service and ambiance we experienced here made that category a moot point for us. The walkway to Magic Kingdom is a lovely way to start the day and you’ll never struggle to find a staff member eager to help you (or simply welcome you home). Definitely make sure you have a charging block for your devices because our 2 bedroom villa only had one USB port, but it’s a small deficiency when you look at the big picture. If you’re on the fence about the villas, hurl yourself over it. You won’t be sorry. Read less
