Spent 4 nights at Old Key West from 8/15-8/19 2025. As a Disney veteran and my 1st time here, I would say I was very pleasantly surprised. I had read about the negatives including the size of the resort and the transportation issues but I really had no issues. We stayed in a 2 bedroom in the 45-46 building area which on the map looks very far from the lobby and pool but it only took 7-10 minutes to walk and was easy to access. The buses definitely were a slower way to go. 1 night I took the bus to Disney Springs as the weather kept the boats from running. The trip was long since mine was one of the 1st stops on the loop but even then it wasn't too bad. I enjoyed taking the boat back to the hotel. It was convenient and a change of pace. The room was large, clean and had all the amenities. Despite being an older resort, we saw no signs of aging. Everything appeared fresh and clean from the furniture to the drapes to the appliances. My favorite part of the resort had to be the peace and quiet. When we returned to our room, there was no screaming, crying, running or bustle. It almost felt like we were in a vacation rental off property. There is definitely less Disney theming here but enough to still let you know where you are. Last thing, we did have a car rental which made it easier to get around for things like getting to the parks and groceries. Regardless, I would highly recommend this resort.

We had a wonderful time at Disney’s Old Key West Resort. We stayed in Villa 1612 on the first floor (we normally ask for high floors but since no elevator we took our chances). We had a wonderful time at Disney’s Old Key West Resort. We stayed in Villa 1612 on the first floor (we normally ask for high floors but since no elevator we took our chances). Beautiful 2 bedroom very spacious villa with fantastic views of golf course. The patio was elevated slightly and actually a balcony rather than ground Patio. Amenities were good, pool area was also nice but we wish there would have been concessions in pool area. However it was located just outside gate so not terrible. Used bus transportation to Disney once. Otherwise, drove into parks for free (early access) Great amenities. Parking at resort can be difficult to find at certain times of the day. Staff was fantastic. Ready to go back.

Stayed at many through the family’s DVC membership over the years, but this one just always feel special. Is it the staff? Yes. Is it the layout? Yes. Is it the eating boating and gift shop? Yes. Home away from home! Easy wait for the buses as well now either etas in case you have to run back to your room for something. Highly recommended!

We loved this hotel and had a brilliant stay at Old Key West.
We were in block 62 which was convenient and close to Hospitality House but also easy walk to Peninsular bus stop if we wanted to get on at the first bus stop in the morning.
My children loved the main pool and we enjoyed the quick service grab and go. We would love to stay at OKW…
