Buses were decent when we used them the boat was also good although very crowded and hot. Will be back in September! Read less

The wife and I spent 5 nights at POFQ in early May to do an adults trip. We had stayed there around 14 years ago with our son, and remembered that we liked the smallness of it and location was good for EPCOT and MK. We also had read the rooms were updated and that was a draw, they were which was why I almost gave it a 5 star. The room was so freshly updated it smelled pleasantly of fresh paint. The renovation to new furniture, updated bathroom, USB ports in several spots, raised bed for easy luggage storage, hard surface flooring as opposed to carpet were all well thought out and imagineered. The bed was comfortable and a/c worked really well. The shower water pressure was also good and we always love a double sink. There is plenty of storage too. We had a corner room and the morning light was great, the hot tub and main building was right across the street from us. Zero complaints about the room. The resort had some good points as well. The pool area was large for a small resort and we never had a problem finding a lounger. The pool bar was great! The regular day and evening bartenders were very friendly and knowledgeable about lots of things Disney. The frozen Irish Coffee was my favorite and reminded me of Molly’s on the Market’s version in NOLA. The hot tub area had a lot of debris in it, and I feel like could have been better maintained. Also, I think they should keep the last hour open as adults only as younger kids were in there until close every night and took up the whole tub. The food court area was just okay. We realize they have to mass produce food so our expectations were not super high. However, if they promote authentic food they have some work to do. The bread for po boys is way too dense and soft. The beignets were just donuts with powdered sugar on them, very bready. The beef po boy has almost no gravy and that’s what makes the sandwich. The fries and basic breakfast options were good (when warm) tho, and we always found something to eat that did the trick. The drinks area was good, although they could use a second ice machine. The inside bar was hit or miss. The advertised music didn’t happen a couple nights. We had one great server, one disappeared for a long time and another who was just inattentive. The drinks were okay. The staff were all friendly as you would expect from Disney, although some seemed like they didn’t want to be there. Bus service worked well, and the video boards with ETA’s was fairly accurate. We wanted to take the boat to Disney Springs but both times they were not in service due to weather issues. If you need to get to a different resort, using an Uber is an efficient option. We had dinner at the Yacht Club one night and it cost like $8. Way worth it. We also cane back from the Polynesian via Uber after a monorail bar crawl. And it cost about the same. Read less

A solid 4/5. I liked it quite a bit. You can get the boat to Disney springs and get the bus pretty much anywhere. The rooms are manageable/okay as well. The grab and go is goo but there was a lady who was a bit rude, it’s fine though. I recommend this place for everyone on a budget and it’s manageable. I certainly liked it. Just please get… Read more

We have just returned from a week at the French Quarter. We had a lovely time and the accommodation was good. The location of the hotel to the parks is excellent. In the past we have stayed offsite and would never again. French Quarter is only connect by the buses but we found the service good, not having to wait to long for a bus. The longest journey was around 20 minutes to a park. The only downfall was we went to Animal Kingdom for rope drop to do a quick safari ride and then our plan was to head into Magic Kingdom. The buses only started to run at 10.00am from AK to MK, we had a reservation booked for 10.15am so would have been late. We took a Minnie Van (our driver was Phil) which was a bit costly but we did get to out breakfast date. Phil also was friendly and chatty. The only downfall would be the food, quality etc was good but choice was minimal. If we had stayed for two weeks to eat at the hotel every night you would struggle to choose something different. But there are loads of places to eat in the parks 😃 The hotel is beautiful and a lovely space to get some Disney release after along day in the park with Mickey. Overall we would defiantly return to the French Quarter. Oh one last thing we took the river boat to Disney Springs and returned by bus! We were not to impressed with the river boat, its extremely noisy, uncomfortable and not the pleasant relaxing chugging along the river we had expected. Read less

As per the title, this was one of the best family holidays we have ever had, and a lot of this was down to this hotel. The hotel itself just had such a wonderful feel to it when we arrived. Whilst we were early and the room not quite ready, we were able to go grab some food and go and have a swim. The pool area is lovely, but probably could do with some more sun loungers. We weren't actually there that long, and our room was lovely. The rooms are not huge, but they are perfect for you need. They feel new and fresh and having the fan and ac is a blessing. The AC is probably a little bit old and quite noisy, so having the fan once the room is at the temp was great. The beds are also comfortable and being higher up means you can stick all your suitcases under them and create more space in the room. I am still a bit confused on the cleaning routine as we would get 3 or 4 days in a row of fresh towels, cleaning and then nothing for about the same. The resort is also a great size and all the transport either to the parks or Disney spring just works so well. We jump on a bus at another resort once and it just took ages. We loved being able to come back from the parks and jump in the pool in the afternoon. And being able to walk round the whole resort was lovely. The food in the QS was ok. Nothing special, but of course everyone goes there for the Beignets. These were awesome and made a perfect snack to share. We will definitely be back. Read less
