Food is good and has plenty of options but a bit pricey if not on the dining plan. Negatives which are fairly minor 1. Bus shuttle collections seemed a long wait to get back to the hotel from all parks and Disney springs. Most took us (including wait time for bus) 30/45 mins on a bad day. All other resort shuttles had 2/3 before our one came! 2. Pool is extremely busy and full of children no quieter area, your always next to someone annd no area to swim. 3. Air conditioning is extremely loud and still the old motel style! The negatives above are minor and we had a great stay. With Disney getting rid of the early access in 2026 it won’t be worth staying onsite. Read less

Port Orleans French Quarter would be a perfect Disney hotel for any family with a manageable size and easy transportation to Disney Parks and more. The pool is very beautiful with a slide perfect for all and a fun splashed, the lifeguards are very attentive and helpful at all times (with roughly 8 lifeguards supervising the pool at all times). This hotel also allows for easy transportation by boat to Disney Springs and Riverside. We stopped in Building 2 which is the perfect place, directly next to the pool and Boat Dock. The only small problem is that the housekeeping is a bit tricky as it can be done at awkward times such as 6,7 O'Clock. And can sometimes be done not to the best standards. Read less

Having previously stayed at Disney Deluxe Animal Kingdom lodge resort twice before this trip I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was blown away with the Disney Moderate stay at Port Orleans French Quarter Resort. Just wow! Check in crew and all staff are so helpful and friendly. Walking through the resort late at night after a long day of travelling was lovely… we saw lizards, frogs and rabbits amongst the wildlife and gardens of the French quarter. Two massive queen beds in our room is just what we needed for our party (x2 adults and x2 kids age 9 and 12). Big massive comfortable beds which were so needed after our flight and also at the end of very busy long days out at the parks. Air con was a bit temperamental at first but then worked fine for the duration, although a little noisy… big large rooms with amazing bathroom facilities and powerful warm shower. We had quick service meals and that all worked well at the lovely dining area. Lots of food options… everyone loves the beignets but personally I loved the fresh Mickey shaped cinnamon rolls. The cafe where you get the beignets I found the small coffee was quite expensive for what you got… The freestyle refillable mugs are brilliant for drinks at the resort. Shuttle buses to the parks are right outside and very prompt and because it’s a small resort we always got on a bus and waits. Hotel is a great location to all parks. You can also get a shuttle boat to Disney Springs which makes a nice change. We had to use guess relations while we were there and they were very helpful and efficient. Swimming pool was gorgeous and we used it at night on one of our down days after revisiting our favourite parks - warm water, gorgeous space with a fun water slide and the lifeguards were on point. Hotel is gorgeous to look at, nice and quiet and very family friendly. We had the best time and this is now our favourite Disney hotel yet! Read less

French Quarter was smaller than riverside in Port Orleans and work very well overall due to this. Pro’s Buses - one stop to get to parks. Never too busy bar two reasons, 1 being preempted and two MK buses rolled up for one morning slot. Resort mugs , had with our package saved loads. Dining plan for quick service, worked really well for us but is a downside. Again got in our U.K. based booking. Location, well placed for all parks and springs. Staff in the main. Cons Buses - never enough put on for peak return times from parks, E.G. post fireworks. Longer waits compared to other hotels but the pro ‘s might be the reasons. Busses to water parks. No direct bus makes zero sense. Dinning plan, why can you not swap adult meals to kids meals. Not everyone wants to pig out on the 75% fast fatty food on offer. Also when you have meals credits, you should be able to swap those to snakes. We had loads left over and server said he would get in trouble putting snakes through as meals and no option to swap. So we literately binning food to get drinks . Total waste Disney and you’re trying to promote recycling and sustainability. Well your policies, process and systems don’t live up to that view. Restaurant staff management l. Poor, don’t bother ordering a birthday Mickey Some cake here. Ruined wife’s birthday surprise. Ordered a week in advance any they never put the order in. Not there anymore n the morning. Then after looking around and saying that riverside hadn’t sent it, the manageress said she could get it that day but I explained we were out all day so do not bother, they then charged my room for the cake after the details the manager Robi took were used as the lady didn’t listen. Only glade I went to complained lain to the front desk later that day as there is no opposite to a cast compliment in the app, the chat service said talk to the desk. They must have wipe the charge as was zeroed out when checking on check out as showed. The manager at the front desk when I asked to make sure we were not charged and no the cake was no longer wanted as we source another in Disney springs , must have arranged some snacks with a mug that were left in the room with a birthday message which did put a smile on my wife’s face after the ruined morning. Restaurant is too small and not enough table and chairs. No outside social areas other than a few park benches. Nothing near the rooms. Weird room layout. Cons always seem to take up more text. Overall great choice to stay. Nice staff in general, great facilities and location. Not perfect but what is? Read less

We stayed as a family of 2 adults and 1 child, for 1 week in July. We came from a universal hotel so it was nice to experience the difference. The room itself had everything we needed. Bed was comfy. Nicely decorated and seemed quite new. The shower had good water pressure and there was plenty of space for storage including all of our food and snacks and the fridge as well. The AC was great and TV had good channels. We had a quick service dining plan which we used for dinner several times at the hotel - particularly enjoying the pizza and pasta options. The dining hall was busy at times but all the staff kept on top of things well and it was never a long wait considering the amount of people. The pool was lovely and had a nice water slide, though it did get busy and finding a lounger at certain times was a struggle - I think they need more umbrellas for shade which was the only draw back. The staff were all really helpful and friendly. Only 1 bus stop which was great (last time we came we stayed at Riverside which had multiple bus stops, so this hotel was my preference it was more compact). A nice boat trip to Springs too which was closer than Riverside. Rooms are Tiana themed (I've not seen the film personally but my family liked it).b We got an Uber to Walmart which wasn't too far to stock up on snacks for the parks or evenings if that's what you need I can't really fault it to be honest so would recommend it and would definitely stay again next time. The only negative was there was a random alarm in our block one day and we had no idea what was going on neither did the staff for a while which was kinda alarming but eventually it all got sorted (some sort of false fire alarm). Final tip is there is a water and ice machine if you keep looking around each block. Oh and how can I forget the Beneuites (unsure if I've spelt that right, Mickey shaped donuts essentially) I don't have a sweet tooth but they were delicious! Read less
