Walt Disney World, Orlando

Star rating

The hotel

Get ready to be transported back in time, to a late-1800s New York. With its unique charm, you'll be sure to love Disney's Saratoga Springs the moment you step foot through the front doors. Your surrounds are rolling golf course greens and the calm Lake Buena Vista - sounds tranquil doesn't it? Talking of tranquil, you can treat yourself in the spa, and enjoy evening movies under the stars. But if tranquil isn't your thing, no problem! There's pools and waterslides galore, and you can be in the hustle and bustle of Disney Springs in no time at all, it's just a short boat ride away. If you're holidaying in a family or group, opt for a villa for plenty of room for everyone - the treehouse villas are particularly fun if you've got little ones (or even if you haven't!).

We stayed in a new bedroom villa that was newly refurbished and super clean. It sits on a beautiful golf course, has 5 pools, splash pads, endless activities for the kids and the horse theme is so classy. I do wish it had a few more food options but overall it was a great stay and super accommodating for a family with a 1 year old. As far as transportation, we drove to the parks to avoid the busses with a toddler/stroller but parking was a breeze and made our time more efficient to and from the parks. We are booked to stay again this year! Read less

My experience at this hotel ended terribly. I forgot something in my room and it was impossible to get in touch with ANYONE at the hotel to retrieve my item. Disney's process is flawed and has no consideration for its guests. Its like once you check out and they took your money they don't give a damn about you. They tell you to fill out a form online and there is no follow up, no explanation on what was done. ANY other hotel , you would be able to call someone at the front desk and they would send someone to help you. NOTHING from DIsney Saratogo Resort. The only reason I see is that someone stole the item ( it doesn't mean that it was forgotten that you can just take it!). I would have expected them to send someone in right away and give me an update ( specially that i disclosed the exact location and even sent a picture). I would never recommend staying at this hotel and my experience with Disney World has been tainted by this. Read less

However, there was very little wardrobe / storage space to properly unpack, which meant we had to live out of our suitcases for the 11 nights we stayed there, which wasn’t great. The bathroom configuration was also strange & they definitely didn’t make the most of the available space! Transport to the Disney theme parks was very easy via the Disney buses on site & also easy access to Disney Springs. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay but a few rearrangements of the suite layout would make a massive difference to the quality of the accommodation. Read less

We arrived at Saratoga Springs for a family vacation. When we arrived we were very impressed how beautiful the grounds were kept. The check-in process was so easy thanks to Jean. Our 2 bedroom villa was clean and spacious. This hotel is perfect for.

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the treatment and service my family and I received during our recent visits, which have fallen far below the standards expected from Disney, especially for a loyal member with over 15 years of ownership. Firstly, on the day of check-out, a cast member knocked loudly on our door and then entered our accommodations without invitation. This invasion of privacy was not only unprofessional but extremely inappropriate. She proceeded to remove our accumulated trash and lingered at the end of the hallway, occupying her time on her phone for over an hour while we were trying to depart. Such behavior is unacceptable. Secondly, during our second stay, we encountered serious issues with the check-in process. The key cards and website access did not work. I contacted the front desk via the house phone to report that we had an ADA door but no ADA shower facility, and I clarified that I did not request any ADA-specific products. Due to the malfunctioning keys, we were forced to cancel a dinner reservation at Charley's Steakhouse, sweating through our shirts in the heat and experiencing significant frustration and stress. After multiple attempts, Brandon, the front desk manager, finally acknowledged that the door mechanism was faulty and provided Magic Bands, which did work four hours later — causing additional stress and health concerns, including raised blood pressure. Furthermore, during our check-in with the family part of our trip, it took over an hour to link and add all members on the website. For two family members, the process was unsuccessful, and we were repeatedly advised to contact Member Services. This level of inefficiency and lack of support is inexcusable for an organization of Disney's stature. Read less
