Where do we even begin?
My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of spending our honeymoon at Adaaran Prestige Vadoo in the Maldives, and to say that our experience exceeded our expectations would be an understatement. We had dreamed about this trip for so long, but nothing could have prepared us for just how incredible it would be.
From the breathtaking beauty of the island and the crystal-clear water to our beautiful overwater bungalow, everything felt like something out of a dream. But as beautiful as Vadoo is, we quickly realized that what truly makes this resort so special is the people who work there.
We arrived on September 29th and departed on October 6th, and during those eight days, we experienced a level of kindness, hospitality, and genuine care unlike anything we had ever experienced before.
We would love to recognize some of the amazing individuals who made our honeymoon unforgettable.
Midhun – Our Incredible Butler Who Made Everything Effortless
From the moment we arrived, Midhun made us feel completely taken care of. He was absolutely wonderful throughout our entire stay. Communication was effortless, and anytime we had a question or needed something, he was incredibly quick to respond.
What stood out most was how genuinely attentive he was. We never felt like we were bothering him or asking too much. He always made sure our needs were met and allowed us to simply relax and enjoy our honeymoon without worrying about a thing.
Having someone so dependable and thoughtful made our stay even more enjoyable.
Midhun, thank you for always being there when we needed you and for making our honeymoon feel so effortless. We truly appreciated everything you did for us.
Velu – A Truly Wonderful Person
Velu was our event coordinator, but to us, he became so much more than that. He was one of those people who could instantly brighten your day just by stopping to say hello.
He checked on us every single day, and whenever he spotted us walking around the resort, he would make a point to come over and chat. Those little conversations meant more to us than he probably realizes.
Velu also helped us arrange our romantic sunset beach dinner, one of the most memorable experiences of our entire honeymoon. What impressed us most was how much he cared about making everything perfect. He paid close attention to the weather and wanted to ensure we chose the best possible evening for our special dinner.
He genuinely had our best interests at heart, and it showed in everything he did.
Velu, thank you for treating us like friends rather than simply guests. Your kindness and thoughtfulness will always be part of our memories of Vadoo.
Nawoda – Making Our Sunset Dinner Unforgettable
Our private sunset beach dinner was one of the highlights of our honeymoon, and Nawoda played such a huge part in making that evening special.
The setting was absolutely beautiful, but Nawoda’s service was what truly made the experience unforgettable.
We could see how hard he was working, walking back and forth between the kitchen and the beach to make sure everything was perfect. Despite all that effort, he never once made us feel rushed. He was attentive, friendly, and genuinely wanted us to enjoy every moment.
Even outside of our special dinner, whenever we crossed paths with Nawoda, he would stop and ask how our day or evening was going. Those small interactions really meant a lot to us.
Nawoda, we hope you know how much we appreciated your hard work. You helped create a memory that my wife and I will cherish for the rest of our lives.
Atapattu – Our Favorite Familiar Face at the Dhoni Bar!
Where do we even start with Atapattu?!
He was absolutely fantastic and quickly became one of our favorite people to see each day.
There is something really special about visiting a bar and having the bartender remember exactly how you like your drinks. Atapattu did just that. He made us feel like regulars from the very beginning, and every visit felt like we were stopping by to see a friend.
His service consistently went above and beyond, but what we appreciated most was his personality and the welcoming atmosphere he created.
He was always friendly, attentive, and made our time at the Dhoni Bar something we genuinely looked forward to.
Atapattu, thank you for the incredible service, the hospitality, and for making us feel right at home thousands of miles away from home!
Manasi – Making Our Snorkeling Adventures Even More Special
We also want to give a very special thank-you to Manasi from the water sports team!
Manasi was the one who helped us with our snorkeling equipment, but what really stood out was how friendly and enjoyable she was to talk with. She took the time to share some fascinating history about the house reef and offered helpful advice on the best times to get out and snorkel.
We genuinely enjoyed our conversations with her. She made us feel comfortable asking questions and helped us make the most of our time exploring the incredible underwater world surrounding Vadoo.
The snorkeling was one of our favorite experiences on the island, and having someone as knowledgeable, welcoming, and approachable as Manasi made it even better.
Manasi, thank you for sharing your knowledge, your kindness, and your enthusiasm with us! We truly appreciated your advice and the time you spent chatting with us. You helped make our snorkeling adventures that much more memorable!
The Sunset and Dolphin Cruise Crew – Creating Memories We Will Never Forget
We also want to give a very special thank-you to the wonderful crew who took us out on our sunset and dolphin excursion aboard the traditional dhoni boat!
This was another unforgettable experience during our honeymoon, and the crew played such a big part in making it special.
Not only did we get to enjoy the beautiful ocean, breathtaking sunset, and excitement of seeing dolphins, but we were also incredibly impressed by how attentive and thoughtful the crew members were throughout the excursion.
What really stood out to us was how they went out of their way to help everyone capture those special moments. When dolphins appeared, crew members would take guests’ phones and help record videos so they could enjoy the experience while still having those incredible memories to look back on.
They also happily helped take beautiful pictures of us together with the sunset in the background, giving us even more wonderful memories from our honeymoon.
It was such a thoughtful gesture, and something they certainly didn’t have to do. Rather than simply taking us out on a boat ride, they genuinely seemed to care about making sure everyone had the best possible experience.
To the entire sunset and dolphin excursion crew, thank you! Although we unfortunately didn’t get everyone’s names, we want you to know how much we appreciated your kindness, helpfulness, and enthusiasm.
You helped turn an already beautiful excursion into an experience we will remember for the rest of our lives. We are so grateful for the memories you helped us create!
Tina, Rosemary, and Ismitha – Three Amazing Servers
We also want to give special recognition to Tina, Rosemary, and Ismitha, who made our dining experiences so wonderful.
Each of these ladies stood out to us because of their genuine sweetness, kindness, and attentiveness.
Every time we came to dinner, they made us feel welcome and ensured we had everything we needed. They always had such pleasant attitudes, and their hospitality made the atmosphere feel warm and inviting.
It was never just about bringing food or drinks to our table. It was about the way they treated us, the smiles they shared, and the care they put into making our evenings enjoyable.
Tina, Rosemary, and Ismitha, thank you for being such wonderful people. Your kindness did not go unnoticed, and we truly appreciated each of you.
Ankitha – The Sweetest Welcome Every Time
Ankitha was the hostess at the main restaurant, and she was an absolute sweetheart!
Every time we arrived, we were greeted with her big, beautiful smile and such a warm welcome.
She always helped us get situated at our table and made us feel like she was genuinely happy to see us.
It may seem like a small thing, but when someone greets you with that much kindness every day, it makes a lasting impression.
Ankitha, thank you for starting so many of our meals with a smile. Your positivity and kindness made every visit to the restaurant even better.
Nadia, Han, Rishita, and Jane – Our Wonderful Reception Team
We want to give a very special thank-you to Nadia, Han, Rishita, and Jane for the incredible hospitality they showed us throughout our stay.
From helping us sign up for our included excursions to assisting with our checkout arrangements the day before departure, they made everything feel completely effortless.
Every interaction was met with genuine kindness, patience, and a welcoming smile. No matter what questions we had or what assistance we needed, they were always happy to help.
What stood out to us was how comfortable they made us feel. We never felt like we were inconveniencing anyone. Instead, we felt like we were being looked after by people who genuinely cared about making our honeymoon perfect.

Maaniu – The Incredible Care of Our Bungalow
We have to give a very special thank-you to Maaniu, who took care of cleaning our overwater bungalow.
I honestly could not believe how spotless our room looked every single time he cleaned it.
His attention to detail was unbelievable. Everything was always beautifully organized, clean, and refreshed.
One day, I even noticed that he had taken the time to neatly fold my clothes and place them in a tidy pile. I was genuinely blown away.
That small gesture spoke volumes about the level of care and pride he puts into his work.
It is easy to overlook the people working behind the scenes, but Maaniu deserves every bit of recognition for the incredible job he does.
Maaniu, thank you for treating our bungalow with such care. Your hard work made our stay incredibly comfortable, and we noticed and appreciated every bit of it.
The Incredible Gardening and Groundskeeping Team – The Unsung Heroes of Paradise
We also want to recognize a group of hardworking individuals whose names we unfortunately never had the opportunity to learn, but whose efforts certainly did not go unnoticed.
The gardening and groundskeeping team deserves an enormous amount of appreciation for the incredible work they do every single day.
Throughout our stay, we constantly noticed team members working tirelessly to keep the island looking absolutely beautiful. Whether they were watering plants, raking leaves, trimming bushes, or carefully maintaining the landscaping, there was always someone putting in the effort to make Vadoo look like paradise.
It would have been easy to walk around the island and simply admire how beautiful everything was without thinking about the work that goes into maintaining it. But we noticed, and we genuinely appreciated it.
The lush greenery, beautifully maintained pathways, and immaculate surroundings were such a huge part of what made the island feel so magical.
To every member of the gardening and groundskeeping team, thank you! Even though we may not know your names, please know that your hard work was seen and appreciated. You are a huge part of what makes Vadoo so breathtaking, and you deserve just as much recognition as everyone else!
Sohan – A Friendly Face at the Gift Shop
Sohan was another wonderful person we had the pleasure of meeting during our stay.
Every time we visited the gift shop, he was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely helpful.
He happily allowed us to try things on to make sure they fit properly and would even check to see whether other sizes were available.
We never felt pressured or rushed. Instead, it felt like visiting a little shop run by a friend who truly wanted us to find something we loved.
Sohan, thank you for your kindness and patience. You made even our little shopping visits memorable!
Azam – Capturing Memories We Will Treasure Forever
We cannot say enough wonderful things about Azam, our photographer!
He took photographs of us during our honeymoon and also created a video that completely blew us away.
We were genuinely amazed by how beautifully everything turned out.
Azam has an incredible talent for what he does, and it is obvious that he takes pride in his work.
What made the experience even better was how much fun he made the entire process. He made us feel comfortable, relaxed, and able to simply enjoy the moment.
The photographs and video he created are things we will treasure for the rest of our lives. Long after our honeymoon, we will be able to look back at those memories and remember just how special this trip was.
Azam, thank you for sharing your talent with us and for capturing such an important chapter of our lives so beautifully.
Ray – The DJ Who Made Our Nights Unforgettable!
We absolutely have to give a special shout-out to Ray, the DJ, for keeping the nightlife alive and making our evenings so much fun!
Ray brought such great energy to the resort. Whether we were enjoying the atmosphere, listening to music, or making song requests, he always helped create a fun and welcoming environment.
We loved that he was willing to take requests and play songs that meant something to us. It made the evenings feel more personal and gave us even more reasons to look forward to the nights at Vadoo.
But there is one particular moment that we will never forget.
On our very last night at the resort, we had the opportunity to dance together to our wedding song.
After spending an incredible week celebrating our marriage in paradise, being able to share that dance one more time was such a beautiful way to end our honeymoon.
It was one of those moments when you wish you could freeze time and stay there just a little longer.
Ray, thank you for helping us create that memory. You may have simply been playing music, but to us, you helped create one of the most meaningful moments of our entire trip.
We will always remember dancing to our wedding song on our last night in the Maldives, and we are so grateful you were part of making that happen!
What Truly Made Vadoo Special
There is one thing we really want the management of Adaaran Prestige Vadoo to understand.
Your employees are what make this resort extraordinary.
Yes, the island is stunning. The overwater villas are beautiful. The ocean, marine life, restaurants, and atmosphere are everything someone could dream of when imagining a vacation in the Maldives.
But what made us fall in love with Vadoo was how we were treated.
Every single day, people would stop to ask how we were doing, wave as we walked by, smile when they recognized us, or simply take a moment out of their busy day to have a conversation.
We never felt like just another couple staying at a resort.
We felt like honored guests.
And as the days went by, we honestly started feeling like we were making real friendships with the people there.
That is something money cannot buy, and it is something we will never forget.
By the end of our stay, we found ourselves wishing we could spend just a few more days with the wonderful people we had gotten to know.
We arrived expecting a beautiful honeymoon in paradise, but we left with so much more than that.
We left with incredible memories, beautiful photographs, unforgettable experiences, and a genuine appreciation for the people who made it all possible.
In fact, before we had even left the island, my wife and I were already talking about coming back for our 10-year wedding anniversary.
Not simply because we want to return to the Maldives, but because we want to return to Adaaran Prestige Vadoo. We want to walk those same paths, enjoy that same beautiful atmosphere, and hopefully see some of those familiar faces who made our first visit so special.
To the management: We sincerely hope every employee mentioned in this review receives the recognition they deserve. Their hard work, kindness, and dedication are the reason guests like us leave with such wonderful memories and a desire to return.
