We had an all inclusive package and there was a vast selection of food to choose from every day! The Tikki bar serves the best Pina Colada’s! Our favourite waiter is Ashraf, he made us laugh and is also a very talented magician! Every day he treated us to a new magic trick! The beach front apartment we stayed in was very spacious and comfortable and the fridge was stocked daily with soft drinks and lager. We were amazed at the huge variety of fish we saw and the sea was crystal clear and warm! We stayed 14 nights and spent the last 3 nights in an ocean villa which was amazing! The room was beautiful ( see photos) and was a great way to end our stay! We will definitely return! Read less

Our second stay here so I guess that tells you straightaway that we enjoy staying here. A big pull for us was the Kids Club and one staff member in particular who our kids absolutely adored on our first stay (we knew she still worked there). The resort itself is 4 star and well maintained. I seem to remember last year the hotel was listed as a 5 star establishment which it isn’t. I only make the point to manage expectations. If you arrived expecting a 5 star hotel experience you’d be disappointed. If you realistically expect a 4 star experience you’ll be happy. As I mentioned the whole place is well maintained and looked after. Lots of staff ensure the walk ways etc are brushed/leaves cleared etc. If the sea has brought excessive stones/coral onto the beaches for example you’ll see workers raking the sand to improve things for guests. The rooms are pleasant and adequately equipped. We stayed in Delux Beach Villa. I’d avoid the lowest class of room if you can as they really are quite basic. I haven’t seen/experienced the more expensive water villas. Positives. The staff are fantastic. Literally every single staff member we interacted with was great. Attentive, polite and genuinely willing to help. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They are a credit to the island and deserve to be commended. Some particular staff members that really do deserve a word of thanks. Imali. She is one of the Kids Club ladies and, as mentioned, one of the main reasons we returned. Our daughter (now 6) who is very shy adored Imali last year and was actively wanting to spend time at Kids Club. After lunch we’d offer the kids different options. Beach play/snorkelling/playground/kayaking/etc and she would often say - Kids Club please! Imali has a wonderfully calm, caring and friendly demeanour. We all loved her and can’t thank her for the care she took of our kids enough. I hope the hotel group realise what a great staff member they have in her. Saaidha is the other lady that was also working at Kids Club. She too was wonderful. Fun, caring and friendly. Both kids (son, 8) also really liked her. KK. KK is one of the staff (possibly manager) at the Sunset Restaurant. He is absolutely fantastic. So welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The rest of the staff working there were also great. Ashraf is one of the staff at the Hiyala Bar. Again, a great staff member as were his colleagues. Ashraf performed a magic show one evening. He had everybody in the audience captivated. Grown-ups and children alike. He really has quite a talent! If we return to the resort, it would be great to see him having more of a feature spot in the resort’s entertainment schedule. Thanks to him for such a good show. Puran Singh is one of the chefs in the Banyan restaurant. He specifically prepared Indian food. All of his dishes were absolutely wonderful and his naan bread to die for. I could very easily (and often did) have his Indian food three times a day. The other staff at Banyan restaurant, in the kitchen and serving stuff were also great. Two of our party are gluten-free and they accommodated us well. Ruiz. Another one of the serving staff. Very helpful and friendly. An asset to the hotel. Other pros. The food is generally very good. As long as you are not expecting five star, à la carte, fine dining. Grilled fresh prawns/fish/meat available every day. Extensive buffet, the Indian food already mentioned and some decent gluten-free options. The facilities are fairly good. Badminton, tennis, kids playground, a gym, water sports and a very pleasant spa. Specifically the water sports area. I was impressed that they would lend you snorkelling equipment for free. Also, kayaking was not an additional charge. Very friendly/helpful service from the staff there. The spa was reasonably priced (they offer specials most days) we enjoyed couples massages and reflexology. The evening turned down Service was very good and appreciated. We liked the size of the island, Not too big, not too small. It had that nice Maldives relaxed, calm vibe. Negatives. The rooms are getting a little tired. Fixtures and fittings in the bathroom for example could benefit from modernisation. Not to the point that it is too much of an issue especially if, as mentioned, you are not expecting a five star experience. The curtains/blinds in the rooms are not good enough. The room was not far off full daylight in the mornings once the sun had risen. Drinks selection was basic. Again, not too much of a problem if you are managing your expectations. Wines were adequate but low quality. Again, perhaps what you would expect from a four star hotel so not a showstopper. The mini bar is only beer and soft drinks. My wife is not a beer drinker so she was a little restricted here. No fresh squeezed juices available at breakfast. Food options at the beach bar were limited and a little disappointing. Very little for guests who required gluten-free food. The snorkelling/reef is not a particular reason to visit this island. Swimming is obviously pleasant as you are still in the Maldives but there is little to see in the sea. The kids were happy as of course there are fish to see but there is practically no living coral. We did see sharks, rays, pufferfish and moray eels but from previous experience other islands have more to offer in this area. Read less

Perfect in every way. Great food and drinks. Wonderful snorkeling in warm clear water right off the beach. In particular we had great service above and beyond by Sandali. She organised everything for us. Nothing was a problem. She is a gem. Also the bartender at the Beach Grill was terrific. But really All the staff were kind and caring.
