The hotel

Just a short hop from the international airport, Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru offers it's guests an intimate oasis retreat. The resort is boutique with just 48 villas across the island, each of which comes with it's own private plunge pool and adjoining jet tub. The open plan villas each provide their own unique and picturesque view of the ocean and are intimate enough to make you feel as though you are on your own private island. Spend your days relaxing on the golden sandy beach that surrounds the island or enjoy a range of blissful treatments in the resort spa. Enjoy all day dining in Ilaafathi, serving delightful international cuisines and an evening tipple... or a mid morning refreshment from Naiboli Bar. Located in the North Male Atoll, just 20 minutes away from the international airport by speedboat transfer.

Hotel information

Consisting of just 48 villas across the whole resort, each with direct access to the beach and a private pool with an adjoining jet tub. Rooms feature tea/coffee-making facilities, indoor and outdoor showers, complimentary WiFi, mini-bar* and an in-room safe. Oceanview Pool Villas are 110sqm and feature all of the amazing amenities mentioned above. Villas have 1 king bed and sleep a maximum of 2 adults.

Half Board option: includes breakfast at Saffron, and lunch or dinner. Bottled water and selection of coffee/tea included for lunch and dinner.

Beachfront Pool Villas are also 110sqm in size and feature a wooden walkway to the beach along with all the amazing amenities previously mentioned. Villas have 1 king bed and sleep a maximum of 2 adults.

Grand Beachfront Pool Villas are 132sqm and feature a separate living area and open plan design with fantastic views of the beachfront. Grand Villas have 1 king bed and a sofa bed and sleep a maximum of 5 people.

This resort is one of the best Ive ever stayed at. The entire guest experience to me was so well thought out. From the time you arrive at the airport, with the seamless transfer to the resort, how they greet you on arrival and provide direct personal "concierge" access to your own host who will take care of all your needs. All the staff are well aware of your name (i mean all), where you come from and your plans during your stay. This allowed them to be so approachable and often led to them being able to ask about your experiences and have a good conversation. This make the resort feel so personal. Like you are a guest of a family home. Special mention to Liu who looked after me during my stay. She went above and beyond to ensure I had the best time, from arrangingii all my plans/activities during my stay. She even ensured my anniversary surprises for my wife were all arranged in secret and in the background. She did all the thinking for me so that I could relax. Read less

Wowwwwwww The moment we arrived at the airport we got assisted right away to the lovely hotel boat and took us direct to the hotel in around 30 minutes enjoying the sea smell and fresh wind .. then when we arrived we got very warm welcomed by Liu and another lovely trainee asian lady .. spectacular.. they gave us the villa very early as we arrived around 9:30 am .. we were very thankful for them.. they showed us around and helped us to settle down very quick. We felt welcomed and the feet signature touch were very nice once u arrive and they helped us take lovely pictures. Liu was with me on chat on WhatsApp and was amazingly helpful and replying immediately and help you fast❤️ We were just had our dive Padi open water course and got certified but actually we still a bigginers but god so excited to dive 😆.. then we met the lovely man ( Ali) and his lovely team, they were very very helpful and friendly and we learned alot from Ali,, Ali was with us in every dive , as we did 4 dives in two days and we wanted to do more but next time ❤️ we did two dives in each day and wowww we were soooo happy , the corals, the sharks, turtles, the Manta, octopus, shrimp and the colorful fishes absolutely beautiful ❤️❤️ The hotel GM Mr. Hery is so sweet man , very friendly and talkative, we spoke to him few times and he was very caring about his guests and making sure all are happy. When you see him u get positive energy and this was lovely 🥰 and thank u for the gesture and your warm welcome and the lovely cocktail party we really enjoyed that ❤️❤️ Can’t forget the hotel lovely lady Fatima .. so sweet girl and she is very much show u care and following up and making sure everything smooth and done.. once she knew that i am Arabian like her when we arrived , she was looking for me specially and that’s felt like home ..
