We stayed at this amazing water villa for our honeymoon. Highly recommend it. The villa was very spacious with its own deck and steps directly taking to the beautiful ocean. It was the beginning of off-season but we were lucky and it rained only once. The beaches had amazing views and it was very calming. The hotel has everything you would need. Make sure to check out the diving center and join an excursion. The staff is very helpful and well experienced in diving activities. We didnt try the spa but they had beautifully designed cabinets on top of ocean. The food is very delicious in general. They have lots of options at the buffet and good quality wines. The welcoming staff made sure that we were comfortable on even the last day of our stay. They let us use an extra villa after our check out when we had to wait for the sea plane. We highly appreciate the efforts of our receptionist Aurora for our comfort. The hotel is very nature friendly and comfortable at the same time. Read less

We are just back from a truly wonderful and memorable holiday at Constance Moofushi which exceeded all our expectations. We booked through Angelfish Travel again, who guided us every step of the way in choosing this little piece of paradise. Their knowledge and insight helped us make an informed choice for a special holiday. With so many 5-star reviews if Moofushi, we wondered if it would live up to our expectations – it exceeded them - due large part to its natural beauty, understated luxury, excellent all-inclusive package and super-tasty food offerings. However, as stated in most reviews, what sets Moofushi apart are their truly exceptional staff whose welcome, warmth, dedication and genuine passion to make the guest experience a memorable one & sets them apart from any other resort/hotel we have visited. They are stars individually and as at team and Constance should be very proud to have staff working so diligently on their behalf. We can now understand why you have so many returning guests. From the moment you land in Male and are met and escorted to the Constance private lounge for the seaplane transfer, you are welcomed to the Constance experience. The seaplane transfer was efficient and one to tick on our bucket-list. Angelfish had recommended & requested Beach Villa No 17, which was ready on arrival – and was a lovely, well-located “home” for our stay. This was serviced twice a day by the wonderful, but practically invisible, Humbe – thank you for the superb towel & palm decorations! The staff get to know you so quickly – calling you by name, remembering your seating preferences, food, drink – their recall is admirable! I am going to be put to shame to remember everyone as they are all excellent & there are the unknown but equally friendly staff behind the scenes in the gardens, stores, back-of-house. We thoroughly enjoyed the interesting back-of-house tour. We do have to mention the wonderful Binju at Mantra restaurant – her hospitality, welcome and warmth, as well as wicked sense of humour, made us feel at home from Day One – thank you! Equally though, we want to thank Maeve, the Sommelier, for all her advice & fun chat on wines (& Mauritius!), Hissan (2 Peronis!), Gopan,Manager in the Bar – always so welcoming - along with smiley Saif and Sha, Nizz and Ricky. Luthi, Assistant Executive Manager, was also excellent at checking all was well – as were the front-of-house team in sorting any queries we did have. We knew we were going at low-season, but didn’t expect less than 50% occupancy. So when everyone else disappeared on a trip in the morning, we felt we had the island to ourselves – bliss! The windy weather did mean some cloudy snorkelling on the house reefs, and one was unfortunately a bit prohibitive during our stay. However, we had some wonderful days and saw a variety of beautiful fish & corals, but the highlight has to be swimming with magnificent Eagle Rays – very emotional and an experience never to be forgotten. We didn’t do any trips other than those in the all-inclusive package. We do feel the guided snorkelling on the house reef should be included in the all-inclusive as we did think the prices for the extra trips were excessive. One other bonus we feel worth mentioning is that there is restricted WiFi in the public areas. Having previously had that as a major complaint at other resorts, we truly appreciated relaxing in peace without constant pinging of message notifications or family & friends joining us all for a social online breakfast at other tables from around the world! We chose Constance Moofushi for the peace, no news, no shoes – a taste of paradise away from our working lives - & it more than delivered. Read less

It's always a gamble going back to somewhere that was so special the first time in case it's not the same. We were right. It was better! My husband Karl and I honeymooned here in 2022 and returned this year. I won't talk about the island itself as readers can see the wonderful pictures from other reviews, be safe in the knowledge the island is absolute paradise. It's understated luxury without pretentiousness, pure and simple its perfect. We contacted the island via WhatsApp before we arrived and that service is terrific. there's something reassuring about being in touch before arrival and the chat and responses were courteous and recieved swiftly. A great new service to use WhatsApp. Well done. We were able to secure the same Water Villa as last visit and this enhanced the feeling of 'coming home'. For us, it's the people of Moofushi that make it so darn special. Every single person seems genuinely delighted to see you, and determined to make your stay as special as it can be. Here are a few special people who made a huge impression on us. Binju, the Manta host. Promote this lady now! She remembered us BY NAME from three years ago. Absolutely incredible service delivered with genuine warmth. She is an asset to the island. It was tearful saying goodbye to her but she took photos with us and sent them on. Just a special human being. Shaa, Manta bar. Also recognised us and welcomed us back like old friends. Such a sweet lady and hard worker. A delight. Ifhaam, our housekeeper. A friendly and talented man who made us feel so welcome in our villa. It was a joy returning to the villa after dinner and finding that he had made wonderful animal creations with towels or had left us a message with leaves and flowers. The towel lobster and turtle were amazing. This is going above and beyond to delight your guests. Get Ifhaam into your training team so he can share his skills! Vinita, Marine Biologist. Friendly, cheeky and knowledgeable. The work she does on the island with passion is inspirational. What's lovely is that she is always visible. On seafood evenings she explained the sustainable fishing which was a nice touch. She spends time with guests outside of her role and is a great ambassador for the island, The Maldives and the planet. An asset! Ali, waiter in Manta. Another guy who needs promoting! So so very kind. He saw one morning that we were enjoying watching the crabs from the deck and presented us with a woven banana-leaf sculpture of a perfect crab! So unexpected, and delighted us! This is going the extra mile to delight guests. On the day we left he had made us both manta-ray necklaces from woven leaves too. Just incredible. Shamu, waiter in Manta. Genuine service with a friendly smile for all. Lovely chap and another asset to Moo. Thank you Shamu. Nithin and Maeva, Sommeliers Manta. Such passion and knowledge without pretence, you can tell it's a joy for them to help you pair wines to get the best from your meals. And they are happy to just get you a beer on curry nights! Gopan, Dylan and Saif, Manta. Lovely guys, always smiling and welcoming, remembering our names and doing everything to make our time with them special. Ricky at Totem Bar. We met Ricky on our first day and he asked our names. He then went on leave but returned on our last day. He had remembered our names and what we like to drink by the (or in the) pool! The drinks kept coming without us having to ask. Incredible service. Thank you Ricky. Finally to Mevin, General Manager and Luthinan, Executive Assistant Manager. Congratulations! You have an incredible team, your recruitment and training is clearly second-to-none. We plan to return in 2027 but to be honest I don't think we can stay away that long. We will see you again asap! The service ethic is not often the first thing that springs to mind when thinking about the Maldives. The service ethic is not often the first thing that springs to mind when thinking about the Maldives. The white sand, the turquoise sea, the coral reefs through which the entire cast of Finding Nemo bobs quietly along, the gentle rustle of the palm trees in the breeze and the tranquil sound of the water lapping at night. That’s the Maldives and Constance Moofushi has it in spades. However, now that we’re home with a couple of weeks of work under our belt, we find ourselves longing for the people as much as the place. The staff at Constance Moofushi are just the best. Everyone has a smile on their face, no-one can do enough for you, everyone appears to be genuinely passionate about what they do and there is a palpable team atmosphere. We stayed in an over water villa which was meticulously looked after by the wonderful Dhona. On our last night the bed was decorated with some beautiful cut outs of sharks and swordfishes which I think Dhona also designs and makes. You’re a talented man Dhona! The bed was extremely comfortable and the place was very well equipped and maintained. The deck was spacious and secluded with a refreshing outdoor shower and our mini bar was always stocked with wine, beer, soft drinks and snacks. The food is excellent. We ate twice in Alizee which was superb and the rest of the week in Manta which is a delicious and ever changing buffet with a grill station from which I ate the freshest tuna and calamari I’ve ever had in my life, and possibly the hottest chilli sauce I’ve dared try. The cocktails were varied and delicious, and champagne and canapés at sunset is a very special memory. Everyone was genuinely friendly and attentive in the restaurants and bars but we’d like to say a special thank you to Sinaz, Maiz and Saif who looked after us wonderfully and always with a huge smile and a few friendly words. Constance Moofushi has a mind-boggling range of wine and we were really grateful to our sommelier, Nithin, who introduced us to wines that we had never drunk before and took us round the ingenious wine cellar. He also led a wine tasting standing in the lagoon with baby black-tip reef sharks gliding past. Another amazing memory from someone whose enthusiasm and passion for wine really stands out. Thank you Nithin! The snorkelling on the house reef was great and my husband did one of the excursions to snorkel with nurse sharks which was an amazing experience. We attended one of the many short lectures available in the early evening and learned about the painstaking efforts to restore the coral following its bleaching from high ocean temperatures a few years ago. One tip if you’re going out there - ensure that your sunscreen is reef-friendly. I made use of the large and well equipped gym where I came across JB, the personal trainer who is literally buzzing with enthusiasm. He even had me in boxing gloves on my last day. Now that I’m home and stumbling out of bed into a Joe Wicks workout before work I’m mindful of JB’s saying “Train like a tiger, eat like a pig”. Thanks JB - that one is staying with me!! Finally a big thank you to the general manager, Mevin Ramasamy, who was always visible and always interested to know whether there was anything else that could be done to make our stay even better. Honestly, there really wasn’t. The seaplane trip to and from Constance Moofushi is also a treat. It’s hot, sweaty and noisy but the view of the little light blue islands scattered in the dark blue sea is beautiful, and where else in the world would your pilots be flying you barefoot? This was our first time in a Constance hotel, but if Constance Moofushi is anything to go by, it won’t be our last. Until next time folks and thank you once again for everything. Read less
