Constance Moofushi

We've just come back from 2 weeks at Moofushi and can only confirm all the very positive feedback by other clients. Constance Moofushi is definitely one of the Maldivian places we've been so far (5 in total). The island is beautiful with large beach(es), good reef, lots of fish including bigger ones which we saw every day (white/black fine sharks, turtles, eagle/sting rays, napoleon, morays, etc). The hotel manager Luthi and his team are very present, nice, helpful and professional. We felt very well taken care of at any moment throughout the 2 weeks. You can see and feel how much effort the team puts into providing clients with top service. And the All inclusive is fantastic and a real AI. Constance Moofushi is a small, beautiful barfood island – exactly as it should be. But what makes the island so perfect is its staff. Everybody is doing an extraordinary good job. The All inclusive is on a very high standard even including Champagne at lunch and dinner time. We stayed at one of their beautiful Beach Villas with an open bath room and a wonderful view to the turquoise lagoon. The style of the island is very cozy with a lot of wood – not super modern and sterile. When you have never been to Maldives and you think about how it looks like you have the picture of Moofushi in your mind. A special thanks goes to JB who works as a personal trainer in the very well equipped gym. He is doing an outstanding job there. Also a big thanks to Sha, Naas and all the other bar and restaurant members. We always felt very welcomed and enjoyed having a little chat with you guys. Just ask… This review will be probably longer, but if you do not want to read, here the shortcut – its wonderful place with wonderful people. You can’t go wrong here. The long version From the moment of arrival in Male we were taken with care even in the morning. The people just took care of us, getting the luggage into the car, driving us into the waiting area at the airport and bringing us to the seaplane. At no point we were lost. The check-in was extensive; the level of knowledge was exceptional. At this point I need to stress out, that everything we communicated before our stay was transferred and everybody known about our vegan/vegetarian preferences or the villa we wanted. By arriving at the hotel after 30 minutes of flight, we were welcomed warmly and even at 8:00 Male time we were taken to our villa. Here one hint – the time on the island is one hour ahead of Male time, so if you rely on your mobile, you need to add one hour each time. You get used to it. At about half past nine island time we were in our villa. We booked the sand villa and requested before some near the senior water villas. And we got the villa 43. Was perfect for us. The room even quite big does not have much room for storing your clothes and the luggage. The main bed was very big and comfortable. The child bed was OK too, daughter slept well on it. The wardrobes are a little bit small, but you really do not need much clothes on the island, most of time you are in your swimwear, so OK. The cleaning of the room was great. Safe is big enough for 13 inch notebook. To be honest, we felt so safe here, that we did not locked the safe and mostly the doors to terrace too. Never before we felt so safe anywhere. The beaches are great, clean, just with high tide are coming bottles from the ocean – please collect them. The coral life is really great. Even when we had no luck for the turtles and rays, other sealife was really great to watch. Including the sharks. Vinita – the local biologist is really great person and we talked a lot; we were on her tour around the reefs. I would like to consult with her our next visit to time it correctly. Wanted to plant a new coral structure, but the project is now changed. So maybe next time. When diving it’s good to look on the tide’s times for visibility and currents. We used kayaks, too – great fun. The food – as vegetarian/vegan family the offer for breakfast and lunch was a little repetitive, but we were all the time well cared. Especially my vegan preferences were taken in consideration very well and the cake chef (sorry, I do not remember names), it was fun to hang with. Thank you so much, man!!! Our daughter was really obsessed by the Pasta chef and they were good team! My wife enjoyed much the professionality of the sommelier team and the choices they had for her. Here the bad thing – I need to find some of the wines at home to buy 😊. I communicated about our food preferences before our stay, and everything was perfect. So again – if you are vegan or have other food preference which is somehow limited, just ask and the staff will handle it. The Bars – the guys I think Darma and Rajitha (sorry if I mix the names up), were really great to our daughter and we had a lot of fun. Thank you guys! Blue Tribe – go for Extravaganza – great experience with great guys. We have seen mantas, turtle, sharks,… We also went for Nurse sharks – were lucky, have lots of them incl. rays. A little bit tricky, but good. Tried also the stargazing, but the weather was not good. We lent their equipment for schnorkeling too, was OK. Shop – the shop is quite small, not so many choices, but we found some memorable things. They have some clothes too and UV shirts. All expenses you have in the bill visible on the TV app – so you have all the time possibility to check your current status. The Blue tribe and shop bills are there too; you pay everything at the check-out. We paid partly cash and partly revolut – no problem. We have had no issues with mosquitos – not in our villa, not in the main areas. Really great. All repellents we took with us we did not need at all. Very good is that there are not many places for smokers. So, this was great to feel because in other resorts in Europe we experienced different situation. This is quiet resort. Not much “fun” to have. For us great, maybe for others not so much. And no speedboats and other noisy things – really great for us. Just the hydroplanes landing. Sustainability – the resort is really focused on this topic. No single use plastic, paper, only think were biodegradable straws; great achievement. Its really good to have a resort which thinks this up, especially what we experienced in the past in many European resorts. And you feel it, the resort is so clean! The biggest issue here are the switches in rooms. And visitors who let the villas shine even when they are not in. That’s a pity, but guests are the same everywhere. The same behaviour as we had during the meals – guests are mixing meat and non-meat food tongs. That was not very pleasant, especially on sushi day. But this goes back to guests, this is not a complaint to the staff or resort. What to say for the end. It was paradise, each step on this island felt like step into heaven. The motto “no shoes, no news” we really lived. Overall, this was our best holiday ever. And we plan to return as soon as we can. You really feel the difference. And when you see that even the general manager helps with luggage, you feel like really valued guest. We really need to thank all the staff for a great experience. Unfortunately, all our future hotel visits will be compared with Moofushi and probably will fail the level we experienced here. If you need something – just ask. Tips: - If you do not want one single duvet on the bed, ask directly for two single duvets. Just ask - On the wooden walks – use flip-flops or be prepared that in the shiny days the walks are really hot and you will have some splitters in your feet. - The shop on the island is really small. Do not count with a lot of presents to be bought. - Communicate about your needs, the staff will try to do their max to make your wishes happen - Do not book star gazing tour in wet season. Pure Heaven - we just got back from Moofushi and it was hands down the best holiday we've ever had. Truly exceptionally! The restaurant staff both waiting, chefs and sommelliers were of the highest standard, as was the food and drink. The manager was so lovely and obviously its a beautiful island and the accomodation is luxury. However its the little unique differences that really make it special like the welcome off the seaplane and the tour of the island on arrival. The extra towels pillows and robes we requested appearing straight away. The onsite doctor who sourced my forgotton unusual medication within 24 hours of me asking him. What really made this holiday for us was the dive team who patiently spent time talking us through the trips and experiences we could do reassuring us and accomodating our many questions. More than this they went out of their way to reach out to our daughter, engaging her in all the activities and experiences in such a way that we felt comfortable enough letting our 12 year old go off with them on boat trips, snorkelling adventures as well as teaching her to scuba dive - Venita ? the marine biologist talked to us every day advising and encouraging her to get involved. Stefania and Gaia? were amazing with the scuba diving and Miles, Tiger and the rest of the team on boat and snorkelling trips so much fun and so patient and supportive - we cannot wait to come back next year and see everyone again - it really felt like one big happy family - we felt really relaxed and at home - i forgot to mention the spa - Anna's treatments (facial and foot massage ) out of this world - and we made some lovely friends with the guests - next year it will be 2 weeks rather than 10 days as we did not want to come home - thank you so much Moofushi XXXX Read less

We had 2 great weeks of holidays on wonderful Moofushi Island. From the time of arrival at the airport to leaving on the final day was an experience in itself. After having seen many other Islands, we can not recommend this place and the people who run it high enough. Great diving, wonderful villas, fantastic food and kindness of staff are on another level.
