In the Raa Atoll, this 20-hectare island is surrounded by 1.5km of soft sand. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 40 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

Amazing room, we had a pool beach villa , so beautiful, white sand and the beach was usually to ourselves. Zaa at Male airport assistant us leaving and returning, such a help and a lovely person , thank you to all staff ! We snorkelled every day , it is very beautiful, crystal clear , beautiful fish. The resort is a dream come true , I will be back ! Just go ! You will love it !

Everything was just perfect, the staff, the villa (we had sunset villa) the food, the drinks, everything was so clean! A special mention to Irman who looked after our villa for us, he worked so hard, he cleaned our villa twice a day, and even made the time to decorate our bed (amazingly!) and write us notes each day, he really was the best. Also special mention to Sairam who worked mainly at the pool bar, he knew our room number and drinks order after just a day, he went above and beyond for us, we couldnt have asked for more. All the staff were amazing! Our water villa was a dream, it was massive! All the food was up to a very high standard, even in the buffet, we couldn't fault anything. We have been lucky enough to stay in some amazing resorts all over the world, but this just tops them all by far! We cant wait to return in 2027!

It’s not often that you have an even better holiday the second time you visit somewhere! We certainly did at Emerald Faarafushi.
The island is stunningly beautiful with all the attributes of a small natural island. We enjoyed watching the birds and the fruit bats. However, the marine life is totally extraordinary. We were lucky enough to see turtles, eagle rays, a 5 foot nursing shark and smaller reef tip sharks. The snorkelling from the reef edge was wonderful with such a large array of beautiful fish. From our sunrise water villa there was constant life, with parrot fish and powder blue surgeon fish visiting us while we relaxed in our pool.
Our villa was very comfortable with amazing views. Our housekeeper, Irman kept it immaculate and made sure we had everything we needed immediately. He also created some amazing bed decorations. He is a lovely, gentle person who genuinely seemed to care about making sure we were happy. He is an absolute credit to the resort.
We had wonderful meals in Meditteraneo and the Aqua Restaurant. Thank you to Yasir, Hassan, Nabeel and Appe for looking after us in Aqua. We loved chatting with you all! Aniket prepared us delicious cocktails at both Eclipse and the Sunset Pool Bar and was always ready for a conversation.
Special thanks to Chef Fernando, for creating the best Sri Lankan meal for us (twice) because we missed the curry themed night. Chef Moreno also made sure he prepared cannelloni,as he knew it was my husband’s favourite pasta dish.
We had the most perfectly cooked tenderloin beef at Medditerraneo. Thank you to Joseph, the sommelier for helping us to choose the perfect wine to accompany it.
We were really grateful to Faya , our villa host for re-arranging our schedule, to suit us and facilitating a lovely breakfast in our room before we departed early on the seaplane.
This place is very special and we hope to return as soon as possible!
