Where is it

In the Raa Atoll, this 20 hectare island is surrounded by 1.5km of soft sand. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 30 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

Hotel information

120 villas (60 beach villas and 60 water villas). All with air-conditioning and ceiling fans, flatscreen TV, WiFi, tea/coffee-making facilities, daily refreshed mini-bar, walk-in and al fresco ‘under the stars’ showers, two-person bathtub, walk-in closet, hairdryer, bathrobes and safe. Beach Villas are 176m2, and have a private garden, covered and open patios with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults or 2 adults and 1 child.

Deluxe All-Inclusive: includes breakfast (at Aqua), lunch (at Aqua and Beach Club Grill), and dinner (at Aqua, Beach Club Grill, and at La Asiatique and Amazònico with reservation required), plus snacks (at Sunset Bar Living & Pool Area); set menus are included (additional menu choices available at a supplement). Room service available at a supplement. Mini-bar including selected wines, beers, soft drinks, in-house bottled water, and snacks (refilled once daily). Selected Super-Premium branded drinks, including spirits, international beers, international wines, and unlimited cocktails and signature drinks, plus soft drinks including in-house mineral water. Complimentary birthday and wedding anniversary cakes (on advance notice). High-speed WiFi, snorkelling equipment, use of fitness centre, indoor games, non-motorised water sports (lessons at a supplement), marine biologist and water sports team presentations, nightly entertainment in main bar (Mon-Sat), weekly ‘Bodu Beru’ Maldivian dance performance, weekly Management cocktail. One boat excursion per 7 night stay; two boat excursions per 10 night stay (selected from scheduled excursion centre activities; cancellations due to bad weather are non-refundable). Two weekly scheduled guided group snorkelling excursions. Bed and bath decoration (once per stay). Escorted transfer to private seaplane lounge by private bus (with snacks, beverages, and internet access at lounge), check-in formalities done at the Airport Lounge prior to arriving at the resort.

Jacuzzi Beach Villas are 176m2, and have a 2m2 metre Jacuzzi, private garden, covered and open patios with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults or 2 adults and 1 child.

Beach Villas with Pool are 187m2, and have a private 5x3 metre pool, private garden, covered and open patios with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults or 2 adults and 1 child.

Family Beach Villas with Pool are 280m2, and have a private 8x3 metre pool, private garden, covered and open patios, master bedroom with king-size bed, children’s bedroom (twin beds) and bathroom, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 child.

Superior Beach Villas with Pool are 280m2, and have a private 8x3 metre pool, private garden, covered and open patios, lounge, master bedroom, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 child.

Royal Beach Villa is 900m2, is set over two floors, and has a unique indoor/outdoor 10x4 metre pool, private garden, covered and open patios, gazebo, lounge with private bar and kitchen, 3 en suite bedrooms with closets (one also featuring a massage area and lounge), and 3 king-size beds, sleeping maximum 8 adults or 4 adults and 4 child.

Water Villas are 168m2, are located on the pier overlooking the sea, and have a patio over the sea, bedroom with walk-in closet, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Jacuzzi Water Villas are 168m2, and have a 2m2 Jacuzzi, patio over the sea, bedroom with walk-in closet, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Water Villas with Pool are 184m2, and have a private 5x3 metre pool, patio over the sea, bedroom with walk-in closet, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Superior Water Villas with Pool are 310m2, and have a private 8x3 metre pool, patio over the sea, lounge, bedroom with walk-in closet, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Presidential Water Villa is 640m2, sits at the end of the pier, and has a private 10x4 metre pool, patio overlooking the reef, lounge with private bar and kitchen, 2 bedrooms with walk-in closets, and 2 king-size beds, sleeping maximum 6 adults.

Aqua Restaurant (international buffet including Mediterranean, Japanese, Chinese, and Italian menus, on the beach with air-conditioned indoor and outdoor dining; open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Beach Club Grill (Mediterranean menu with pizza and pasta station, on the beach; open for lunch and dinner). Amazònico Restaurant (Latin American menu including Brazilian, Mexican, Argentinean, Peruvian, and Chilean dishes; open for dinner). Le Asiatique Restaurant (Asian menu; open for dinner). Sunset Pool Café (billiard table). Sunrise Café. 

Outdoor swimming pool. The Emerald Spa* (Balinese and Thai treatments*, Indonesian-style pool, and relaxation zone with Jacuzzi, sauna, and Turkish baths). Amazing resort and amazing staff we’ve been there at the end of May for a 7 nights stay .from service to entertainment everything was more than expected . Very easy to get in contact with the reception for everything that was needed and they been on top with everything

Our first Maldives trip was perfect because of Emerald Resort and our lovely host Sid. 5 star hotel with 5 star service and food. There are four restaurants and two bars in the resort, you can just eat and drink whatever you like, while enjoying the best water view ever. Five-day trip wasn’t enough, we would love to be there again.

There was a wine server in each restaurant, so it was nice that they recommended delicious wines that suited my taste. The butler in charge was SID, who managed my schedule well and saw me off from the first day I arrived at Emerald to the last day I left. Thanks to their detailed consideration, I was able to stay comfortably during my stay. I recommend this place as it is suitable for everyone, such as family trips and honeymoon. Read less

The place is simply stunning. They have a beautiful island. The spa is amazing. The villa host we had Mr Sid was so very helpful every step of the way. From check in to checkout you have comfort every step of the way. Even the check in process happens in the room. We stayed on an overwater villa with mesmerizing views. I loved the villa hammock which allows you to watch the fish in the water at night. The water around the villas is a bit rough so check before attempting any swim. Snorkeling here is a sky tty. We went to a turtle sighting and it was wonderful. You can also snorkel in the house reef outside the aqua restaurant. Food was yum and the seafood so fresh !!!!
