This was our second visit to the Maldives, but our first time staying at the RIU Islands and WOW, what an unforgettable experience it was. Everything about our stay was simply flawless. The hospitality we received was truly exceptional. A special thanks to Mr. Shafaz, the Assistant General Manager, whose warm welcome and attention to detail made our stay all the more enjoyable. The entire island staff were incredibly friendly, and a few individuals deserve a special mention… Sanjay, Aimee, and Sanju from the Entertainment Team were outstanding, constantly working to keep all guests entertained, even recognising my 50th Birthday celebrations! Their vibrant personalities, engaging conversations, and genuine love for their work made them a joy to be around. It’s rare to meet an animation team (and I have met many) that are so passionate about what they do. They are a real asset to RIU. Our housekeeper, Mohamad, was also wonderful. He kept our Water Villa (3018) spotless and surprised us with beautiful towel art and decorations to mark our special occasions. His efforts did not go unnoticed — another gem on the RIU team. We also want to thank the many waiters and bar staff who took the time to make our visit special, far too many to mention, but a shout-out goes to Singhe and Kelvan on the bars making the best drinks! Thaney for arranging a memorable 50th birthday meal at the Italian restaurant, and to Abu from “London Town!” (Joking) whose sense of humour added so much fun to our meals. We are loyal RIU guests, with lots of Riu experiences but this location truly stands out, it really is the best of them all, made truly special by the islands beauty and the amazing staff. We would definitely (and hope to) return in a heartbeat. Read less

amazing experience, from arrival to departure, this was by far the best holiday we have ever experienced, done most Caribbean Islands and loved them , Bali , Thailand etc but the Maldives are another level ! Just amazing hotel , beach fabulous, sea stunning, apartments (beach Villa) beautiful and walk straight onto beach! Food great and varied only slight moan , the Italian and steak house rarely open at same time so buffet restaurant a bit too busy at times and felt we had to move on pretty quickly. Not a lot to do bar sunbathing, few beers and a swim in gorgeous sea so better get on well with your partner lol! Staff just soo lovely especially the guy whom meticulously cleaned our villa each day ,sorry i can’t remember his name but what a fella ! Plenty of entertainment in the evening thou the Russian guests did get a bit over excited and a tad annoying! All in all , a 5 star experience all round , love the Maldives so much , booked for next year but at a more traditional Atol as the Riu is very new and modern thou beautiful. tips : TIP! a lot don’t , very mean ! Avoid buffet at busy times , shop very expensive so bring what you need , finally… enjoy paradise!!! Read less

This was our second trip to the Maldives but the first time staying. at this resort. This was a quiet , peaceful location that had atmosphere but without feeling overcrowded. The staff were all amazing Nisan in housekeeping who looked after our room and decorated it for our anniversary.Shah , Rose & Mohamed in the restaurant were attentive but in particular our thanks go to Thaney who became a really good friend during our two weeks stay. There is however room for improvement in terms of the evening entertainment which was dull and repetitive , even the famous Tui while party (although beautifully decorated and set up ) never really got going and needed more interaction from the entertainment team. This is an amazing place which is perfect for relaxation and unwinding . On a final note the toilets around the resort were kept immaculately clean by the male attendant, not something everyone would look out for but something that tells me a lot about attention to detail . Everything was amazing We loved the whole island but were really glad we didn’t book the RIU palace as the RIU atoll was definitely the best We didn’t rate the snorkelling trip as it was a complete waste of money Snorkelling was far better off the island for free Luckily for us we did get half our money back
