Where is it
Located on the private island of Maafushi, which is part of Dhaalu Atoll, and is connected to neighbouring Riu Palace Maldivas by walkway. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 40 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

Everything from start to finish was perfect. The staff are so polite and friendly. They all made us feel so welcome. The food was great, plenty of choice in the buffet and of course you have the Italian and steak house too. Drinks great also.
We stayed in block 24, by the house reef. We liked being there. It was about 10-15 minute walk to the restaurants/buffet. We didn’t mind that.
The reef is amazing, so many fish. Baby sharks swim close to the shore line.
We have done the Maldives once before and much prefer RIU Atoll.
Can’t wait to come back April 2026.

The staff were always warm and welcoming, greeting us with smiles throughout our stay. A special shoutout goes to SHAFAZ, whose exceptional customer service stood out from the moment we stepped onto the island. He went above and beyond to ensure my birthday was truly memorable — he absolutely deserves recognition!
I’d also like to thank Sanjay and Sanju for keeping the fun going with activities like bingo, aqua fit, and unique beachside jewellery-making sessions. All in all, we had an amazing time and can’t wait to return!
