Makunudu Island lies in the North Malé Atoll of the Maldives surrounded by turquoise lagoon, coral reef and open ocean. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: approximately 45 minutes by speedboat.

36 bungalows, all with open-air garden shower room, air conditioning and ceiling fan, writing desk, rocking chair, pull-out minibar, tea making facilities, bottled water, slippers, hair dryer, complimentary WiFi and in-room safe.

Beach Bungalows are 40 sqm and dotted along the edges of the island, with the lagoon a short walk away.

Deluxe Beach Bungalows are 50 sqm, with a private patio with canopy and ocean views. These bungalows also benefit from a coffee machine, plus daily afternoon canapes delivered to your bungalow, and a complimentary daily sundowner per person at the Sunset Bar.

Ara Iru Restaurant (buffet breakfast and lunch, and a diverse set menu for dinner, with a BBQ twice a week). Sand Bar (cocktails, hand-picked wines and bar snacks, with music on select evenings). Absolutely the best island to relax and recharge. The staff couldn’t be more cheerful, helpful and accommodating. The food was also excellent. The dive centre are the most enthusiastic, kind and caring centre we’ve ever used. Nothing was too much trouble and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this very special island.

My scuba diving experience was absolutely unforgettable.. From the moment we began the briefing, the team made me feel safe, confident, and completely at ease..even underwater. The instructors were extremely patient, explained every step clearly, and stayed right beside us throughout the dive.

Our second visit to this Beautiful rustic island, after visiting last year we immediately booked again for this year and will be booking again for next year. This trip was even better than the last one, it is one of the original tourist Maldivian islands and they have deliberately kept it unspoilt with no water villas or swimming pools and no TV's in the rooms, it is just total relaxation. The house reef is amazing and I recommend the night snorkeling with guide from the dive centre where you can snorkel with the nurse sharks among the many other night creatures, i also highly recommend the spa for great massages the masseurs there are wonderful. The resort staff are all superb and the food is excellent. The bungalows are a few steps from the beach and sea and the beds are really comfortable . It is the perfect getaway.
