We had the most amazing time at this island, which has only **recently opened**, and we genuinely feel so lucky to have experienced it so early on. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this is a truly special five-star resort, thoughtfully designed with families very much in mind.
Villas
We stayed in a **two-bedroom overwater villa with a private pool**, and it was absolutely huge. There was so much space for all of us, with a clever layout that allowed us to be together while still giving everyone privacy. The lounge area separated the children’s sleeping area from ours, which worked perfectly for family life.
The villa was beautifully designed — I particularly loved the lighting and textiles — and the bathrooms were incredibly well equipped. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the large terrace and pool became the heart of our stay.
Pools & facilities
Our private pool was used constantly by the children, who loved being able to swim safely and then head straight down to the sea. The **main pool near the restaurant** was also fantastic — large, beautifully designed, with different depth levels and a shallow baby area. There was plenty of seating, and the bar team were attentive, regularly coming around to take drink orders.
Food & dining
The **main restaurant** was excellent for families. The buffet-style setup meant the children could try lots of different foods without pressure, which is ideal when travelling with kids. The variety was impressive, and everything was beautifully presented.
A special mention must go to **Sameer, the Restaurant Manager**, who was consistently warm, attentive, and genuinely cared that we were happy throughout our stay. He took the time to check in with us regularly and even showed us around the new underwater restaurant on our final day, which was absolutely breathtaking.
We would also like to recognise the wonderful restaurant team members who made every meal feel relaxed and special:
* Rihaan
* Kalhu
* Meekail
* Uney
* Xeem
* Myke
They were all exceptional and a real credit to the resort.
Children & activities
This resort truly excels when it comes to **children and teenagers**. There is so much to do, and it never felt repetitive.
The **recreation and teen lounge area** was a huge hit with our children. It includes:
* A bowling alley (two lanes, perfect for kids)
* Air hockey
* Table football
* Pool table
* PlayStation
* Table tennis
It’s brilliantly located in the centre of the island near the tennis court and football pitch, and it’s open all the time. Drinks can also be ordered here, which makes it an easy place for families to relax while children play.
The **kids’ club** is well set up, particularly for younger children, with activities like cupcake decorating, outdoor Zumba, and great climbing frames. While our children were slightly older, they still enjoyed dipping in and out, especially as it’s right next to the teen recreation area, which worked really well.
Bikes are also available to use around the island, which added another layer of fun and freedom for the kids.
Padel tennis & sunset bar
The **padel tennis court** next to the Sunset Bar was fantastic fun for the whole family. The Sunset Bar itself is beautifully designed, with lovely interiors and a relaxed atmosphere. Sitting there with cocktails while watching the sunset was one of my favourite moments of the trip, and the glass-floor section was a big hit with the children.
Practical notes for families
* **Seaplane transfers** are an additional cost and take around 30–45 minutes from Malé. The children absolutely loved this experience.
* **Green tax** is payable and added at the end of your stay (approximately $20 per person per day), which is worth factoring into your budget.
* We also transferred between islands by boat, which took around 30–40 minutes and was very smooth.
### Final thoughts
This is a **sparkling, brand-new resort with exceptional facilities**, especially for families. The staff across the island were genuinely warm, attentive, and fantastic with children, which made all the difference.
This was honestly **one of the best family holidays we’ve ever had**. Both the children and adults had an unforgettable experience, and I cannot recommend this resort highly enough. The Maldives is far more family-friendly than people realise, and this island proves that travelling here with children — young or old — can be truly magical.
We would return in a heartbeat ❤️
