A dreamy escape in the Maldives

We had a wonderful stat. The staff were incredibly kind The villa was clean and view was amazing thank you for Everything and making our trip unforgettable. It would ne better if there were glasses on the bathroom roof to prevent lizard from coming in 😉

We had a fabulous time at Oblu H. The beach villa with pool was perfect. If you like one of those, book the one, close to the beach. Oblu itself is a stunning island. Everyone was friendly, great food, plenty of selection. Great coffee. The drinks in the all inclusive package are great. The snorkelling is amazing. Go from the jetty and snorkel towards the restaurant. You will see two poles in the water, they indicate that you can swim towards the shore. Do not attempt to snorkel anywhere else to the shore as the water will be too shallow and there is lots of coral reef. If don’t know, you can choose your pillow. We had a massage, very nice and not too pricey. The weather was fabulous even though, it showed rain every day. Be careful if you choose to use the photo shoot option. Agree the final price and make sure all service charges are included. If you would like to tip, USD is the preferred method. You get snorkelling gear in the resort. If you want to book the sunset or fishing tour, you could combine it in the fishing tour. You see the sunset, while fishing. Shampoo and conditioner is included in your room. This is our second visit to Helengeli, Maldives and it didn’t disappoint! We arrived to a decorated room wishing us a happy anniversary with a bottle of champagne and some fruit for four years marriage! So thoughtful, and for our first meal on the island we had a decorated table welcoming us back! As before, we made quick friends with the staff who looked after us so well, they work so hard to make your holiday a happy and special occasion. For example where you like sit, what you like to drink, this is remembered to make your holiday memorable. We’d like to thank:- Bar staff Mamnu, Dulan,Anjali , Wita, Haikai, Midhun, Siddhu Room cleaners/ decorators Rushi/Suthin Restaurant staff Ajay, Vivien, Sam, Anni - Simpa and Zaama. You all made our holiday so special and we miss you already! The house reef didn’t let us down. We saw 3 turtles, a variety of small black tip sharks, 2 adult black tip sharks (around 4-5 foot) and a large Bat ray amongst all the other beautiful tropical fish and creatures, beautiful! The food buffet as always was plentiful and diverse, the kitchen chefs always try to please their audience depending on which country is visiting and over two weeks we had a lovely variety of dishes. On our last night, again we had a special table decorated by the staff and the kitchen also made us a large plate of delicious fish, this was a real treat and so special. The only thing we would recommend would be maybe an equal amount of meat/vegetarian dishes. It was just a little too vegetarian for us. I personally missed the chicken curry’s, they only came out twice over two weeks but it was delicious as always. We were also invited to an exclusive cocktail party on the beach which was lovely, we enjoyed meeting the management team very much. We are already saving to go back for the third time, and now it’s on our records that we love the same room when we visit so we never have to ask. Maladies is great for kids!

The reefs here are beautiful. So many fishes, there are lots of turtles,rays,sharks,eels,triggerfish,hermit crabs etc. The diving experience was great! You even get a private swimming pool in your villa. The kayaking is very cool,they even have jet skis , and paddle boarding! The restaurant is really nice, there is a buffet with different food every day! The staff are very kind, don’t be afraid to ask them if you need anything! You can even get stuff off the menu! The only downside is that the experiences like jet skis and diving are heck expensive! The diving is allowed for 8 yrs and older! Read less
