Where is it

Located on Ailafushi Island in Male Atoll, and connected to the neighbouring island OBLU SELECT Lobigili by a 270m long jetty. Complimentary speedboat transfer from Velana International Airport on arrival and departure, taking approximately 15 minutes.

Hotel information

Ocean View Rooms are snug, homey, duplex-style one-bedroom villas, smartly designed to maximise space and comfort, and with a veranda with comfy daybed. Beach Villas are just a few steps from the beach, with a private outdoor veranda and garden, inviting interior, walk-in wardrobe leading to a spa-like bathroom, double vanity, and a semi open-air bathroom. With 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Water Villas stretch into the dazzling lagoon, and are accessed by wooden jetty. Each water villa is shaped like a traditional Maldivian Boat – a ‘dhoni’ – creating a feeling of a romantic hideaway. With a private deck, and a staircase into the water, and a semi open-air bathroom. 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Ocean Family Two Bedrooms are the same as the Ocean View Rooms, with the addition of a second bedroom with bunkbeds in a story book theme for children, 2 bathrooms, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children.

Was an incredible experience! We saw a lot of sharks, several sting grays and fishs. Was amazing despite of when we returned to the hotel there Was a Storm. Thanks a lot sajaya, sofwaan, hashim, ibrahim and Adam. Also you have drinks no the boat and the tripulation récord a vídeo for you. Thanks again!!

Our stay at Oblue Experience Resort in the Maldives was truly exceptional. From start to finish, the logistics were seamless. The pre-arrival communication was clear and helpful, making the 20-25 minute boat transfer and check-in process stress-free. The resort staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist. We stayed in a family beach bungalow, which was perfect for our young children (ages 4 and 6). The separate spaces for kids and adults, bunk beds, two bathrooms, and the breathtaking ocean view made it an ideal setup. The proximity to the beach was fantastic, though there were some sharp coral pieces in the sand. The kids’ club was a standout feature. Our children couldn’t get enough of it and loved the staff, especially Nahu and her team, who made their experience unforgettable. The gym, set over turquoise waters, was the most beautiful we’ve ever seen, with excellent equipment for a proper holiday workout. Dining at the Bistro was enjoyable, with diverse options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We particularly appreciated the Indian dishes, though the international section could benefit from more variety and fresh salads. The all-inclusive drinks exceeded expectations, offering a wider selection than anticipated. A potential improvement could be a dedicated bar with premium, purchase-only drinks served in proper glassware. Activities like snorkeling and the underwater restaurant were highlights of our trip. The snorkeling tour was phenomenal, with sightings of sharks, a turtle, and vibrant marine life. The underwater restaurant offered a unique dining experience with delicious food and wine pairings. The app provided by the resort was user-friendly and informative, and the on-site clinic was a reassuring feature, especially when I needed quick treatment for a minor injury. A couple of minor points: the Wi-Fi was inconsistent, but it sufficed for basic needs, and the room walls were quite thin, making loud neighbors noticeable on occasion. However, these did not detract from the overall experience. While it may seem expensive compared to other Maldives resorts, Oblue Experience offers exceptional value. After thorough research, we found it to be one of the most competitive options, considering its proximity to the airport, included and well-organized transfers, all-inclusive package, and spacious family accommodations. The staff truly made our stay special, from the kids’ club team to Waheed, who kept our room spotless, to the friendly and genuine interactions throughout the resort. Oblue Experience Resort’s stunning location, beautiful water, abundant wildlife, and incredible aesthetics make it a destination we highly recommend. Read less

Pros: island is beautiful and well maintained. The beaches are amazing and the sand so soft. I couldn’t get my boy out of the sea, he was obsessed with snorkelling. We went on the trip to snorkel with turtles and to the sandbanks. The guides and snorkelling was amazing but the sandbanks weren’t that great, pretty dirty and full of rubbish. We were in a family room (800’s) on the sunrise side, if we were to visit again i would request sunset side. The room was really nice and spacious with 2 bathrooms, bunk beds and a big king sized bed. Cons: buffet is ok, it gets repetitive, its also frustrating getting up and down for food and drinks all the time. Drinking water is never cold, they need an ice machine in the buffet. The drinks at the bar are ok, its cheap liquor and i didn’t see them using any of the other spirits listed on the menu, just the cheap stuff. I even asked for a “gordons” and tonic but they just poured the cheap stuff. Would i go back? If i found a good deal then maybe but on holiday food and drinks is a major part of it and it just wasn’t up to scratch Read less
