Ozen Maadhoo, was more than what we imagined it would be. An amazing island. From start to finish perfection. We had 2 beach villas which we loved. We were where the sun rises. It seemed that this side of the island was a bit more sheltered from the wind. So I would recommend it. We loved the bikes that came with the beach villas. Fridges were filled daily, same for the snacks. Beautiful toiletries. The food in the restaurants was incredible and we had plenty of choice. My daughter is celiac and GF options are available. Most things could be made on request. The massage was very very nice but we found it overpriced. I think if the prices would be a little bit more reasonable they would get so much more business. A special thank you to Samrat, Ayush, Siri, Therisia/Theresa, Erin, Anil. Your exceptional service was appreciated and Samrat your cocktails were delicious. Sunny the chef - thank you for checking on us every day. It made us feel very special. Ayush you were a fantastic concierge! If you want to tip staff they prefer USD. Read less

Well, where do I start….. This was our first time to the Maldives and we settled on Ozen Life, mainly based on previous reviews, the resorts website, videos via social media & research. Additionally after 2 flights from Manchester UK, another plane ride didn’t really appeal. The 45 minute ride via air conditioned luxury speed boat was just enough for us. From the moment we were greeted at Male airport by a friendly member of the Ozen team, our luggage was swiftly taken charge of to save us lugging it, to the end of our holiday, once again no lugging of cases through Male airport, it was all taken care of so we could relax right from the start. Nothing was too much trouble for the attentive staff, all staff genuinely pleased to take time to make us feel welcome, something which continued throughout our stay. During our time at the Ozen I did have a concern about one small thing, my husband mentioned this to our butler who immediately dealt with it to our full satisfaction. We stayed in a sunset beach villa with private pool (402) and couldn’t want for anything. The super king sized bed was so comfortable, I’m really fussy about having a good supportive mattress due to a low back condition, but the bed was perfect. Although knowing the Ozen if this wasn’t the case they would have probably replaced it. So much has already been said about this beautiful pristine Atoll and its splendid views, cleanliness throughout and serenity, yet there are always things to do if you want. From spa treatments to scuba diving, boat trips and so much more. However, I don’t think a great deal has been said about the gym, especially for those wanting to burn off a few calories after all of the culinary delights from around the world and prepared by top chefs. Chefs who will take the time to come out and chat to you if you want to know about a recipe or the best way to cook a particular dish. Regarding the gym: Imagine a clean, calm well equipped gym looking out over crystal clear waters. Perhaps watching the young black tipped reef sharks, sting rays and other colourful fish going about their day, or simply looking ahead at the Indian Ocean / Arabian Sea beyond the reef as you work out. What an incentive to either walk, cycle, cross train, row or lift some weights. A member of the gym staff was always there for you if you needed any assistance, but not obtrusive if you simply wanted to do your own routine. I did ask for suggestions and was helped so much with safe, research based advice . In fact a huge thank you to Nandam, fitness instructor and yoga teacher who even made me a video to keep me on track with my training once home. He truly went the extra mile to help, but then this is the whole ethos of the Ozen, and in my opinion what puts it way ahead of its competitors. A huge thank you to all of the team for making our special holiday and Wedding Anniversary so exceptional and personal to use. We hope to see you all again at some stage in the future 🙏 Read less

I don’t usually write negative reviews, but our experience at Ozen was so awful that I feel obligated to warn others. We stayed at Ozen for one night only after our flight was unexpectedly canceled — and I wish we hadn’t. This resort ruined the end of what was otherwise a beautiful vacation in the Maldives. Let’s start with the food — it was disgusting. The buffet was full of stale, old-tasting dishes. Even basic items like cereal were stale and croissants were so hard they could literally break a tooth. To make matters worse, we found bugs and ANTS in the food. I even have a video of ants walking around inside a cake and a photo of bugs crawling on buffet items. Completely unacceptable for any resort, let alone one that charges these insane prices and supposedly a luxurious one. As a pregnant woman, this was horrifying. I was extra cautious and stuck to what I assumed were the “safe” options — but even those felt risky. Our overwater villa wasn’t much better. The pool was dirty, and shockingly, it had spikes at the bottom that could’ve easily caused injury. The room itself felt outdated and poorly maintained, nowhere near what the pictures or description promised. Service was equally poor. We called multiple times asking for just ice, and it would take over an hour to arrive — every time. When we complained about everything to the manager, all they did was offer a meal as compensation. No refund, no accountability, and no sense of urgency to fix the problems. It felt like they just didn’t care. For the ridiculous price per night, the quality and service were an absolute joke. This place markets itself as a 5-star luxury resort, but in reality, it’s more like a poorly run 2-star hotel with a pretty view. What makes this worse is that we had just come from Conrad Maldives and Hilton Amingiri, which charged around the same price per night — and gave us true 5-star luxury with immaculate food, service, and facilities. Ozen charges the same but gives you a low-end, chaotic, and unsafe experience — even while advertising itself as a premium all-inclusive resort. It’s a scam. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. We left feeling ripped off, disappointed, and honestly just grossed out. Avoid this place if you value your health, comfort, and money. It completely ruined the final memory of our trip. Never again. Read less
