Ozen Reserve Bolifushi

The island is very beautiful and everyone is friendly. Our housekeeper Anvy is very patient. But I think the hotel's system of picking up tourists is unreasonable. First of all, our family arrived in Male on the evening of May 15th. We were supposed to pick us up on the island on the morning of May 16th, but the yacht picked us up in the afternoon, which wasted half a day's time. Secondly, we missed lunch on the first day on the island. On the day we left the hotel, we asked to check out at 11 o'clock, and we didn't provide free lunch. We stay for 4 nights and can only enjoy 3 lunches, which is very unreasonable for all-inclusive prices. Read less

I would say the experiences are better than I expect. Not only does the food and drinks are unlimited here, they probably serve the best kind of fusion you’ll have here. You can enjoy different countries cousins everyday and I would say it’s really delicious. Our butler Ahsan showed exceptional care for us, whenever we needed him he would reply us within 10 mins that’s impressive. He’s really nice and caring. Also, we attended an art class given by teacher Fernando, he’s really talented. Me and my partner don’t really know how to draw but at last our art pieces came out just so amazingly good. Other staff including Daisy (Elena Spa), Ahmed (manager), Shiva (Elena Spa), Anvy (other guest butler), Khai and Nisan (Sangu bar) also showed their best services to us. The cocktail class offered by Khai and Nisan is just so good, the drinks that they created surprised me as I don’t really drink alcohol often but I like it very much. Our vacation to Ozen Reserve was everything we could have dreamed of and then some extra on top! We originally came on this trip with a once in a lifetime mentality since it took a combined 35 hours of flying round trip to get to the Maldives from where we are from, but by our third day on this incredible island that mindset was shattered and we both became dead set on making the return here for our honeymoon and potentially more visits in this lifetime and here is why! The signature service that we received began the moment we got into the airport. The reception staff welcomed us into the lounge, took care of all of our belongings so we didn’t have to carry a thing, and got us comfortable for a brief wait while the luxury boat was prepared for our journey. Bolifushi is rather close to airport so the boat ride was brief, comfortable, and joined by an incredibly large pod of dolphins leaping and spinning out of the water beside us! Upon arrival you’re instantly welcomed by the staff and your butler (hiyani) for your stay which we were lucky enough to have the incredible Ahsan! My fiancée and I were both stunned by the sheer beauty and nature of Bolifushi so Ahsan took his time giving the tour allowing us to take it all in for our first time in the Maldives. We arrived pretty early in the morning so while our villa was being prepared, we were taken to breakfast and given a place for us to change into our swimsuits to begin lounging at the pool. Immediately the staff at the restaurant and the pool began to learn our names and faces and whatever preferences we have to make things smooth and seamless. This service never stopped or even dipped the slightest throughout our entire stay which is the driving force behind us wanting to make the return. It was our engagement and both of our birthdays and everyone made sure that it didn’t go unnoticed! Ahsan and the amazing team at the Indian cuisine restaurant Saffron arranged a happy birthday cake along with a special table with the best view to celebrate our birthdays with an incredible meal, and just when we couldn’t ask for any more surprises we come home to a beautiful message on the bed by the amazing CJ who did a phenomenal job taking care of of our MASSIVE over water villa which I can not forget to mention was upgraded to the villa with the slide free of charge upon our arrival which no words could amount to how grateful we were to be given! The resort is stunning in such raw natural way, the staff is an entire team of all stars, and then its paired with some of the finest food I’ve had in the world. We were lucky enough to eat at all of the dinning locations on the island and each one maintained excellent service, freshest ingredients, and a lovely atmosphere. Even the vista buffet for breakfast and lunch, there’s what seems like an endless amount of options from all over the world and it’s all some of the freshest food I’ve ever had! We must give all our special thanks again to our hiyani Ahsan! Constantly keeping us informed with daily letters about what’s going on the island and rainy day alternatives, taking us around the island on the cart whenever my fiancée couldn’t bike in her dresses, and consistently checking up on us throughout ensuring an incredible stay! Our cleaning staff CJ who is so attentive that we didn’t need to make a single request the entire stay he predicted what we would need and provided it, even extra bath mats for the floor, our mini towels for cosmetics, the finest details CJ remained on top of. The entire Spa staff that we had the pleasure of having for our first ever spa treatment. The managers at the vista that constantly made recommendations for wherever we were dining that night, seriously if they make a recommendation it is in your best interest to follow it especially the wine paring at Origine! All of the bar tenders and especially Khai the mixology mastermind who multiple times made us surprise drinks that he would craft on the fly all the way up until our last moments before departing the island! Fariq who we had the pleasure of having for dinner at Sangu beach talking and learning more about what it’s like growing up and living in the Maldives. And every staff member who made sure the always wish us a good morning, afternoon, and evening whenever passing by on our daily bike rides. This was our first resort in the Maldives and for the foreseeable future, the only resort we need in the Maldives. Our experience at Ozen Reserve Bolifushi was one of a kind. Our butler Ahsan was the best butler we could ask for. He was attentive, genuine and always made sure we had the best experience there. We are very grateful for him. The restaurants are great, limitless options and supreme quality. I would like to specifically mention Ahmed, Khai and Nisan from Sangu who offered us a cocktail workshop which was very fun and such a great memory for us. I could not recommend this resort more. This resort is perfect for couples and families. There are activities for everyone. Read less
