We spent an unforgettable week of vacation on the island of Bolifushi at the Ozen Reserve Resort. From the moment we arrived at the airport, the resort staff took care of us and our luggage and transported us by boat to the island. The service was impeccable, and they even escorted us from the island all the way to the baggage check-in counter for our return journey.
Upon arrival on the island, we were welcomed by our personal butler, Ahsan, who took care of everything throughout our stay. He organized our activities quickly and efficiently, making our vacation perfect and enjoyable from start to finish, without ever being intrusive. We sincerely thank him for his outstanding service and organisation of all activities and surprises during our stay (e.g., for our anniversary and birthday).
We stayed in a “Water Villa with Pool,” which was exceptional in both quality and size (approximately 250 m²). The room amenities and services were of the highest standard, and the housekeeping staff was warm and attentive. We were also pleasantly surprised by the special touches we received for our wedding anniversary and my birthday, such as a beautifully decorated bed and a bath filled with rose petals. It was truly magical to return to our villa in the evening and discover these surprises.
During our stay, we had the pleasure of taking part in several memorable activities. First, we embarked on a “Dolphin Cruise,” where we were lucky enough to spot two dolphins and flying fish despite the unpredictable weather. We would like to express our gratitude to the team at Best Dives for this unforgettable experience.
We also treated ourselves to a “floating breakfast,” a delicious breakfast served on a floating tray in our private pool — a moment of pure relaxation and indulgence.
We enjoyed two couples’ massage sessions at the Elena Spa, delivered by an incredibly welcoming and skilled team. The second session took place in a unique treatment room over the water, with a transparent glass floor offering breathtaking views of the fish below. A truly magical experience!
To top it all off, we took part in a world wine tasting at the resort’s fine-dining restaurant, Origine. It was a special moment of exchange with Rohit, the head sommelier, whose passion and kindness are remarkable. We warmly thank him for this exceptional experience, as well as for the other delightful moments shared during our meals at Origine and Vista del Mar.
All of the resort’s restaurants are excellent, offering flavourful, beautifully presented, and generous dishes prepared with high-quality ingredients. Each restaurant has its own theme, catering to a wide range of tastes. We would especially like to thank Durai, a remarkably kind and skilled waiter who looked after us on many occasions during our lunches and dinners.
We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to Chef Anil, the executive chef overseeing all the resort’s restaurants. He demonstrated exceptional expertise in preparing meals for my wife, who has multiple allergies. He personally created and supervised all of her dishes throughout our stay, even enabling her to dine at the Asian-themed restaurant “Soyi,” which is usually not possible for her. Anil, your care and expertise made our culinary experience truly unforgettable. A heartfelt thank you!
