We had an amazing stay at the royal island resort and Spa . Mark who was our island guide facilitated everything nicely and we had no issues in navigating the island . The rooms were spacious and offered easy access to the beach. Well suited for just lying down and having a quiet time . There were a few water sports but due to bad weather we couldn’t try them . I was however able to take a scuba dive at the adjoining dive oceanus dive center and click a few decent pictures of underwater life surrounding the island . Overall a memorable stay . PS : the full board including all meals is worth taking as the spread is mostly decent and chefs are very accommodating Read less

We are just returning from a week at Royal Island Resort, and it was far beyond a simple holiday — it was a return to wonder. It felt like a second honeymoon, but with the depth of time and life behind us. What makes Royal Island so special is not just its breathtaking beauty — the turquoise waters, the lush greenery, the white sand that feels like silk under your feet — but the incredible balance it holds between freedom, peace, and deep respect for nature: a vision that puts people well-being, sustainability, the well-being of flora and fauna, and the delicate balance of the Maldivian ecosystem at the heart of every choice. You feel it in every detail: the way the island is maintained, the quiet dignity of the place, the way nature is allowed to breathe. It gives you a rare sense of freedom, not from responsibility — but from noise, rush, excess. You feel held, without being controlled. It’s pure harmony. A special mention must go to Mark, who helped us from the moment we arrived until the day we left. His kindness, calm presence, and perfect coordination made our stay smooth and effortless. He was discreet but always there — the kind of hospitality that truly matters. We leave Royal Island with a sense of peace, of gratitude, and the strong desire to return. This place isn’t just a destination — it’s a way of seeing the world. And it has deeply touched ours. Read less

Hello, My husband and I stayed at your resort for a week. We were satisfied with the housekeeping service as well as the waiters who served the food. The access to the sea was nice, and the beach and the reef were beautiful and clean. However, there were too few bars for the size of the island. The biggest drawback was the small number of bartenders working at the bars — they often got the orders wrong. For such a large area, having only two or three bartenders is unacceptable. Sometimes we had to wait almost 30 minutes just to get the bill, and once it took 40 minutes to get a drink — I even timed it — and in the end, the order was still wrong. I can understand how this happens when there are so few staff members. I strongly believe you should hire more people to work in the bars and restaurants, especially considering the size of the resort. Also, this was our third time visiting the Maldives, and it was the first time we experienced being repeatedly pressured to buy extra offers, like special dinners. It would be nice if these offers were suggested in a more subtle way. Of course, it’s good to inform guests about such opportunities, but not in a pushy manner — we heard about the same dinner twice while sitting in the bar and twice again during a regular dinner. Nazia was a great liaison for all our activities. What a great idea to have a single point of contact! Of course the resort is attractive and spotlessly clean. The food in the main restaurant was fresh with a good variety. Habib provided attentive service. Thanks Habib! The Raabondhi restaurant was a wonderful location for evening cocktails and its fine dining experience. The chef deserves special mention. I will dream of the lemon prawns with the mango salad! We undertook several diving and snorkelling trips. Very efficient and safe. The spa ladies were so kind and I had a relaxing massage in a beautiful environment. I am planning a return visit already!
