To Sun Siyam Paradise. 🌴💙
One of the most beautiful, lively and memorable places I’ve ever visited!
I stayed at Siyam World with my sister and my friend, and from the moment we arrived, it felt like so much more than just a resort. Everything was so well thought out, from the stunning surroundings and beautiful villa to the service, food, activities and the incredible atmosphere across the island. Every day brought something completely different, and there was genuinely never a dull moment.
We stayed in the Pool Beach Villa, and all I can say is WOW! Being able to walk straight out of our villa and into the sea, with those breathtaking views right in front of us, was something truly special. The villa was beautiful, and honestly, I got emotional every time we walked through the door. 😂 It was one of those places where you just stop for a moment and take everything in.
But what really stood out throughout our stay was the service and the little thoughtful touches. Every staff member we encountered, whether in the restaurants, bars, around the island, in our villa or even the bus drivers, was incredibly warm, polite and welcoming. There was always a smile, a cheerful “Hello” or “Good Morning,” and someone ready to help.
What I particularly loved was how the team continued to surprise us with little thoughtful touches every evening. It wasn’t always the same thing either. One evening we would find cookies, another they would leave aloe vera gel to help soothe the skin after a day in the sun, and another evening it might be lemongrass tea or something else. They were such simple gestures, but they made a big difference because you could feel that these little details were genuinely thought through for the guests.
It’s these small touches that really stayed with me. They made the experience feel personal rather than simply being about providing a room and a service.
A very special mention has to go to Ausy and Sara for making our stay such a fantastic one. And a huge shoutout to our ambassador Benish, along with Rajesh, Prashanth, Ismail, Sony and Affan, who went above and beyond to make our stay even more memorable. Their warmth, attentiveness and hospitality really stood out, and they made us feel so well taken care of throughout our stay.
The food deserves its own mention. One of the things I loved most about Siyam World was the incredible variety of restaurants and dining experiences. There are so many different cuisines and settings that every evening can feel like a completely different experience.
Some of my favourites were Shipwrecked, The Wahoo Grill, Arigato, Mint Beach Bar and Jungali, and each one had its own personality.
Shipwrecked was such a fun spot, with a lively atmosphere right by the beach. It was the kind of place where you could grab something to eat, have a drink and simply enjoy the surroundings. The Wahoo Grill was another highlight. The beachfront setting made the whole dining experience feel special, and sitting by the ocean with the view in front of you was exactly what you imagine a Maldivian holiday should feel like.
Then there was Arigato, which was such a great experience for Japanese food lovers. I loved that every restaurant offered something different, so dinner never felt repetitive. The Mint Beach Bar was another favourite. The pool, tropical surroundings and relaxed atmosphere made it such a beautiful place to unwind with a drink.
And Jungali was so much fun with its swim-up pool setting surrounded by greenery. It was perfect for cooling off, grabbing a drink and simply enjoying the atmosphere.
Each restaurant tended to have its own vibe, cuisine and concept and creation to it!
The breakfasts were amazing too, with such a wide selection. And of course, I had to try the floating breakfast! We had waffles, danishes, scrambled and sunny-side-up eggs, coffee, tea and so much more. But the highlight for me was the freshly baked croissant, so soft, moist and delicious!
What makes Siyam World different is that you don’t have to choose between a relaxing holiday and an active one, you can have both. I got to try horse riding, which was such a fun experience, and I loved getting to interact with the horses. I also tried go-karting and golf, explored different parts of the island and experienced Cinema by Moonlight.
The moonlight cinema was honestly one of my favourite experiences. Sitting by the ocean, watching The Holiday under the stars with drinks beside us, was such a simple but beautiful experience. It was one of those moments that you don’t necessarily expect from a resort but end up remembering long after you leave.
There was music, the beach, pools and so many activities happening throughout the island, you could make every day as adventurous or as relaxed as you wanted.
One experience I particularly enjoyed was the live cooking session with Head Chef Prashanth and his team, including Rajesh.
We got to experience a little piece of Maldivian culture through its food and actually learn how to prepare traditional dishes such as folhi & mas’huni, fihunu farumas & olhuala and dhonekeyo kaju.
The dhonekeyo kaju was probably my favourite, crispy banana fritters with cinnamon sugar. Absolutely delicious!
It was also nice to experience the hospitality and culture of the Maldives in such a hands-on way rather than simply being told about it.
After all the activities, I also got to experience a Balinese massage at Thalgo Spa with Kini, who was incredibly professional and made the whole experience so relaxing. It was my first time experiencing a Balinese massage, and I could genuinely feel the tension and pressure being released. After spending the days exploring and trying different activities, it was exactly the kind of experience I needed.
It felt like more than just a resort. One of the things I really appreciated was getting the opportunity to tour around the island and learn about Siyam World beyond the guest experience.
I got to see some of what happens behind the scenes and learn that the resort grows a variety of its own fresh produce and herbs, including watermelon, chillies, bananas, aloe vera, lettuce, lemongrass and more.
That was something I found really interesting because it made me realise that Siyam World is about so much more than its villas, beaches and activities. There is a whole ecosystem of people, food, nature and experiences working together behind the scenes. What I loved most is that Siyam World doesn’t feel like a place where you simply come to stay. It feels like a destination where you can create a completely different experience every single day.
It really is the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, food, culture, nature and incredible hospitality. A huge thank you to the entire Siyam World team for making our stay so special.
Siyam World definitely left an impression, and I would absolutely love to come back. 🌊💙
