A luxurious retreat, the W triumphs yet again with spectacular accommodation in an idyllic location. There are various room options to choose from, each and every one of them truly special with private plunge pools a feature as well as sumptuous island views. Treat yourself to an over-water retreat, complete with glass panelled flooring to admire the ocean below you. Whichever you choose, you’re only a stone’s throw from the beach, which boasts not only glorious white sands but a whole range of water sports to get your teeth into. Swim with hammerhead sharks and manta rays on a diving expedition or explore the endless turquoise waters on a kayak or canoe. There’s also big game fishing if you fancy catching dinner! If you don’t, there are several restaurants to choose from, including Fish, the resort’s signature seafood restaurant and Fire for barbecue delights. Wet is part swim-up bar and part poolside lounge gone gourmet with wood-fired pizza, creative salads and Asian cuisine on the menu alongside exotic cocktails.

“High Service standards and the best house reef in the Maldives”

W Maldives is a special hotel. It is a perfect blend of high service standards without feeling robotic and scripted, unique design, and the most spectacular house reef in the Maldives. Unforgettable memories of snorkelling with sharks and turtles every day just outside our villa. All the dining venues are excellent, but our favourite was the sushi bar at SIP, while watching pink and orange sunsets every evening. This was our sixth stay at W Maldives, and we are currently rebooking for a seventh. Very special thank you to Honda and the team at Kitchen. Lonsi, and the team at Wet. Mani & Laksman, and the amazing sushi chef at Sip, & Mark at Fit. Very special thank you to Amila for your incredible hospitality.

“A new benchmark for the W experience”

From the moment we landed in the Maldives, W Maldives set a new benchmark for what luxury hospitality should be. We were personally greeted at the airport and guided straight through to the seaplane terminal, where we were taken into a private lounge before boarding. Every step felt smooth, considered, and well executed. Upon arrival, being welcomed by the management team immediately set the tone—this wasn’t just another stay, this was the W experience at its best. We were then introduced to Callisa, who looked after us throughout our stay and was exceptional. Attentive, genuine, and always one step ahead—she made everything feel effortless. What truly sets W Maldives apart is its people. Every single person we interacted with made us feel genuinely welcome—like we were coming home to family. Amila, Christian, Nich, Coacha, Chef Bakaa, Ben, Shane, Sajeewa, Mani, Dilya, Dmd Darshana, Dream, Jem, Anees, Abdulla, Niutro, Robert, Maaniu, Ahmed, Aroo, Afrah, Aqua Man, Shakil, Aidh, Shabaab, Lakshan, Silva, Shian, Ajith, Harald, Arabella, and Ineetan—each of you contributed to something truly memorable. Meeting Chef Bakaa on our first day set the tone for the dining experience. He took the time to sit down with us, understand our allergies and preferences, and then went far beyond that—creating completely tailored, one-off dishes based on our palate. Meals weren’t just prepared; they were designed specifically for us, and that level of detail is exceptionally rare. We travel often and make a point of immersing ourselves in the W experience wherever we go, so we understand the standard. What this team delivered went beyond that. From organising offshore excursions to coordinating every detail of our stay, everything was handled with a level of precision and care that elevated the entire trip. Spending time with the team, including Nich, only reinforced what makes W different—the culture, the energy, and the people behind the brand. It’s something you don’t just see, you feel. From the airport to the island and back again, not a single detail was missed. And on a five-day luxury stay with this many moving parts, that is no small feat. The island is stunning, but the experience is defined by the people behind it. The service, the energy, the culture—it all came together perfectly. Our stay was absolutely faultless. We’re incredibly grateful for the experience and the connections we made. We’ll absolutely be returning—and continuing to explore the W experience around the world.

My partner and I had the most wonderful stay celebrating our anniversary. From the moment we arrived, the level of hospitality was truly exceptional—every member of the team was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, which made our stay feel incredibly special. A very special thank you to Callisa, who hosted us throughout our entire stay. She went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of. Even when we requested something that wasn’t immediately available on the island, she thoughtfully arranged for it to be brought from the main island the very next day. Her attentiveness and care made our experience feel truly personal. Our room was beautiful and perfectly appointed, offering both comfort and tranquility. Many of our favorite memories were created at Sip, Fish, and The Kitchen—each offering fantastic food, wonderful atmosphere, and moments we will always remember. We are deeply grateful to Callisa and the entire team for creating such a memorable and meaningful experience for us. We very much look forward to returning again in the future.
